    Creatine does work but in reality, her strength has probably increased due to her increased focus and dedication, seen as she has a clear short term goal.

    • @MattDoesFitness
      @MattDoesFitness  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +186

      Combination of a few factors I think mate but the creatine defo played a significant role

    • @TheSaxon.
      @TheSaxon. 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +129

      Yeah, it definitely played a role but you'd probably be able to quantify its benefits better if Sairs had been training like that for 3 months already.

    • @jiawei0917
      @jiawei0917 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +65

      Totally agree with you. A better creatine experiment will be if that someone didn’t train as hard, and just slack as they used to, then just test it again after creatine loading.

    • @lauram9616
      @lauram9616 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +25

      I trained for a year without creatine. When I started taking it, my bench increased by 7.5kg after 1 month. Previously, I'd been increasing by 2.5kg every month, so creatine definitely helped with the other 5kg.

      bit of a unfair test TBH , she might of performed the same if she did 1 rep max on the regular in teh first place, not denying creatine works , but the results may be slightly skewed

    • @thebikepackingadventurer
      @thebikepackingadventurer 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@girlsdrinkfeck basic things like sleep can effect outcome. Think the results are obvious that strength is there after pushing hard for 30 days, but without an absolute strict regime yes anything could sway outcomes. Max points for Matt convincing her to dry scoop instead of just mixing with the water she's drinking. That's medal worthy wife interaction

      yeah cuz dry scooping something that NEEDS water for it to do its job is super intelligent.

    I'm glad that Creatine helped her a lot, but this doesn't work for everyone. My personal experience was a negative one. As a gym goer for the last 4 years and someone who is very skinny to have abs without trying, I tried Creatine for a month in the Fall of 2023 and it was a terrible experience. All the water went to my stomach, and I was drenched in sweat all day every day even though I was not a sweaty person before. I stopped months ago and the sweating and bloating has not gone away. I personally didn't see a great change in strength, but I sure did get stretch marks on my legs and stomach.

      I’ve heard that if micro dose it through the day, rather than all at once, it’ll help with the water weight. Also, mixing it with beta alanine reduces the bloating as well. Maybe give it a go again with those changes. I LOVE creatine. But I do notice that if I don’t at least mix it with beta alanine, that my ankles do swell. Good luck ❤

    Hello! it's a good video, it shows if we're consistent we'll get there. As for creatine, this is not to devalue the effect it may have had, but I think there is a lack of information about food/diet of your wife here. We don't know what your wife's diet is like, either before taking creatine or during the process. What could have been even more relevant was showing that there were no dietary changes and in fact that it was creatine that played its role. Either way, I'm going to try it, but I'm going to take food into consideration so that it doesn't intervene in the entire process. Success for you guys!!!

    Posting 1rm guesses below, now:
    Squat - 65kg / DL - 75kg / Bench - 30kg (incl. bar)
    After 30 days:
    Squat - 90kg / DL - 110kg / Bench - 47.5kg
    Probably way off, but I tried. She's got a good coach and generally seems to eat well, should be more influential than the creatine.
    edit: ok I was way off

    I started creatine right before Xmas. I don't work out, but have high muscle tone (hypertonia) and was looking for a solution to have a week long charlie horse. It took less than 24hrs to know if it was working. I'm not super consistent, but has definitely decreased the frequency and severity of the cramping.

    As a female what’s the best creatine I should be taking

    • @luckyyyinlove
      @luckyyyinlove 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Creatine monohydrate. Other variations aren't superior, anyone who claims otherwise has fallen for marketing. It's the only supplement whereby you don't have to pay more for quality.

    I only take creatine when going to the gym twice a week because i run 3 times and cycle once. How often would you actually say I should take it to really see a difference ? She did amazing. Your face when she lifted more than you thought was priceless like YES MATE, sick AF
