@@wellchuffedrailways definitely some people out there with little to no common sense. Thank you so much for watching and commenting Rick it's much appreciated.
I've sold model railway items on eBay for more than 20 years now. It's tough, being at the mercy of courier companies. Yes this model was not packaged as good as it could have been (box it!) but the items I sell I take the greatest of care packaging items before and it seem the box gets used as a football by some companies en route to the customer :( I suggest always allow the seller to resolve the problem before jumping to negative feedback though, it often shows the caliber of the seller when things go wrong to see what they do. Hope you get it resolved! PS: I'll take that off your hands if you want to get shut of it ;)
@@Locomotion_Motion I agree couriers treat parcels with very little respect. However to put a loco in a jiffy bag with no box was stupid. The seller apologized and refunded me in full. No negative feedback was left or will be left. The seller fully resolved the issue so I would never leave negative feedback to be spiteful. Thank you so much for watching and commenting 👍

I've been selling model cars on eBay for over 25 years, sold over 13k items and have 100% feedback (which means that my customers are happy with my service and keep coming back for more). I recently started buying model trains in eBay, and am amazed at the number of idiots out there that have no clue how to package and protect items against shipping damage or send you junk to begin with, not to mention the ones that don't ship or communicate with you after you have paid. Thanks to buyer protection, I have received refunds for items that were damaged during transport or were not shipped. If you don't get any satisfactory response or resolution from the seller, suggest you use this option.
@@tomsmaerklintrainlayout6742 Hello Tom I hope you're well Wow 13k sales and 100% feedback very impressive. Shocks me how people lack common sense when packing items. @@ModelRailwayShed There are also examples of good eBay seller behavior: I recently bought a relative expensive Rivarossi locomotive that arrived damaged, as the foam insert completely disintegrated and the loco was bumping around in the original box. Now this appeared to be rather unusual, but based on some more research, this can happen with older foam inserts. There were pieces broken off that could have been fixed, but when I ran the loco, one of the driver wheels was not running round and the loco was bumping up and down on the tracks. I started a return, received a return shipping label and after the seller received the item back, a full refund. Since the seller was very cooperative, I left positive feedback.
