You got some skills on that there mixer. And I love that you don't go all crazy with filters, loops,FX and stuff. You keep it to a minimum and it glides in o so smooth. Only wish I had 10% of your skills.
Amazing man! I have the same controller but I've learned new things by watching your video. Now I understand that... It's not the controller or the software, it's about the skills you have. Keep up with that man, I really liked this mix!
Damn a dj who mixes Melbourne bangerz and house. I have every single one of these songs on my iPod but this mix was like listening to them for the first time again. I'm in love and subbed
Dude you are the best DJ ive seen on video. Like you actually DO stuff. I know a couple of things but Im completely lost when i watch this video haha. Awesome mix, awesome skills! You must get more subs and views! +
***** at 3:20 he is CLEARLY bringing in another track. if you can't hear that high percussion which is coming from the left deck then you are deaf. you can also hear the slightly imperfect beatmatching, 2 kicks are clicking one another at 5:55
As the last comment stated, you are a boss at this! Haven't seen too much good quality DJ videos! I myself am just starting to get into the DJ community. Having difficult finding someone that knows how to DJ as well as finding lessons or something. Do you have any recommendations, tips, advice, or anything to help guide me in the right direction to succeed? Please let me know! Thank you!
I was considering buying one of these to learn on but wasn't sure if the possibilities. After seeing this, I've ordered one. You make using a controller sound boss!
I also have the MixTrack Pro 2 and Serato DJ Intro. I've been practicing my mixing for around 3 weeks. Practice everyday for a max of two hours each day. I still can't get this good. :(
Really enjoyed your techniques. Mainly the use of loop effects and your use of EQs for really tight transitions. Question: I'm relatively new to mixing and noticed you typically transitioned with bass off and your treble and mid at the middle. Do you ever go with all EQ's off for the transition song, raise the volume all the way up, and make the EQ switch with the bass first and then work your way up? Just trying to understand if your approach with the "typical" workflow using EQs.
nice mix man can you record with the soft ware they give you with this mixer? I have traktor pro on my laptop already just wondering will that work with this mixer
+romark arcabal no offence but with these units, your not learning to mix, your learning to get a computer to mix for you. jump on analogue turntables and then you can mix
@@generationfunk I regret to inform you that times are moving on, and you can't hold grudges against people who are using new-ish equipment just because you don't like it.
Lol me keep up with the times? this post is 3 years old. No offence taken man but lets say in 30 years time a son asks his dad to borrow the car, sure son as long as you let google drive do the driving for you. Now is the kid really driving the car? umm no, technology is driving it for him. Is this guy really using his ear and true tempo/sampling/beat syncing/effect etc? ummmm no, the computer is doing it for him at the press of a button....in most cases presets! How can I take offence if you have never driven a real car. Happy mixing (by pressing buttons) peace
@@generationfunk I understand where you're coming from, but put a complete stranger in front of a controller, they won't know how to use it like they perhaps would a turntable. Not to say using turntables are easy, but they're a lot less complicated then say a Pioneer NXS2 controller. I don't understand why you bring autonomous cars into this, but it would require input for anything to happen, the car would not move on its own without the input. Same goes for a controller, it won't mix things without any input, it won't add FX on its own unless it was in the track itself, (which was usually the case for turntables). The more professional DJs don't even touch the sync button, this guy is using it because it's the easier way of matching the same BPM on two tracks, but it doesn't necessarily make a mix sound nicer. So the fact you're saying everything in this was done by the touch of *one* button is a bit ridiculous.
@@insertnamehere5660 i disnt say 1 button i said by pressing buttons and that is exactly whats going on with thesrs decks 90% of the time. A stranger? If you mean an old school dj like me then it took me 10 mins to work out what every feature does when i got my numark console. I ended up giving it to my nephew as it felt like i was playing a game rather than creating music. I admit it was fun and incredibly easy, a little to easy with my background. Very versatile and easy to cart around, how i wish it was around in my days as carting around 300 or so Vinyl was not fun. But as for the mixing simplicity of them anyone can run a night on these decks with just a few hours of prep. Its a little funny how you think programming a car to drive opposed to actually driving it is the same thing. If you can see that humour then you may understand where im coming from. Cheers but im done with this topic. Times change thats cool. Just dont go saying that its the same
This is really amazing. Great work Ed. I am currently getting a Numark Mixtrack Pro 2 this week and I was wondering if this is a good mixtrack to start out with and what program to recommend when going live, if the Pro 2 doesn't already have a good program with the package. Again, really amazing mix, and I will check out more of your videos :)
Nice mix man I'm getting a numark for Christmas myixes are all done on my phone lol but you do deserve more subs ounce I get my numark I am going to upload way more frequently
Awesome mixing. Very smooth transition. I have few questions. What software do you use? Did you planed your mixing (tracks order, cues and etc) before filming or you did freestyle?
I use Serato DJ. To answer the second question, I more or less have it planned out when filming it. However the way the mixes come about is by me freestyling and then recording afterwards.
Ed Troise okay. Can i ask you how with the cues how you delete it in serato dj i delete by holding 4 pad but in serato full it sets 4 th cue. And do you use beat grid?

How is it that shitty DJs that cant even make transitions get like 20 000 views and 2 000 subs and you only have like 600 views and 48 subs??... Like, You can DJ! You deserve to have them instead! Keep it up!
Amazing mix man! I just made a new live mix with the mixtrack pro 2 as well, if anyone is interested. (sorry for spamming, but its hard to get noticed our days).
Das ist nicht Live Gespielt du hast die platte bewegt und das lied ist nicht nach vorne ober nach hinten.😡 Schon traurig das mann betrügen muss um aufrufe zu bekommen

Why can't I do this on mine lol
Yo me pregunto porqué solo mezclar con techno y no con merengues dominicanos e que e más fácil el techno para las mezclas

Ed Troise okay. Can i ask you how with the cues how you delete it in serato dj i delete by holding 4 pad but in serato full it sets 4 th cue. And do you use beat grid?
