I got the gilly, and at first didn't care for it, cuz it would raise so quickly, even on a fairly slow retrieve. So I throw 2 Lil bullet weights in the bottom then hit it with a touch to mend the plastic over, then also thru a small screw right under the mouth. Freaking awesome, you can burn it in and it swims so good and stays In the strike zone. Also you can throw a Lil jerk of the rod and stop reeling making it throw off the to the side like a glide bait just not so extreme. Makes it look like it is turning to look behind it. If you got gilly I'm trying you just try throwing a little weight in them . Changes the whole lure . It looks so good in the water
@Garry Mainer The Berkley Gilley is more of a swimbait. It has a great gliding, swimming action. The Sleeper gill can actually be fished very much like a jig or a spinnerbait and is quite weedless.
13 fishing, Savage Gear, and Matt's lures all make decent gills. Megabass makes well thought out baits. Only Megabass lure I actually love till it breaks is the I wing. The aluminum wings break. If they upgraded to steel I'll definitely buy another one for 60 Bucks. I've already owned 2 lol.
@@itstrappy42e12 Lol 😂 every other crawler on the market accept the new Gan Craft has steel wings. The NZ, the Battle Wing, Monka, Pompadour, Raid Crawler, Attica, KRR crawler. I love Megabass, and like a moron, bought a second one after the first one broke.
Bro those are not similar baits except profile they are meant for very different applications unless I am missing something one is great like swim jig one is good drop swim or free rig etc

I order the Megabass by the dozen. Love them!
I prefer the mega bass I’m just not sure if I get the Berkeley rig properly and if I could see it swim, I can feel better
Everyone forgot about the Savage Gear Pulse Tail
Both are fantastic baits. While they look similar, they are used for entirely different applications. Nice video.
What are the different applications...Im just starting out

Nice video, you deserve my and more subs.
Berkley gill succ. Took me a while to get it to finally swim.

How can they make it with steel dude it would be 1000 times heavier

The gillie 110 is the best for me

I put the gilly on a small chatterbait with real good sucess
That's a good idea, ill have to give that a go
The Berkley gill is a copy of the issei gill
Facts and a shameless copy at that it’s sad how Berkeley completely ripped them off
Fact’s however the Imakatsu Javagill performs the best
The Berkeley gilley side swam no matter what I did. Very disappointed..
I honestly don’t think you can compare these baits they are not the same deal
I like the gilly. Looks like it's dying.
