As a person who had built a house in Houston area I think the price here is misleading. What this video is showing is the house with lots of upgrades which can be from $50K to $200K. Would be nice to see the house that is at Base Price but builders typically build houses with upgrades.
You've made some good argumentative points here, and I agree. Typically, and unfortunately in defense of builders, they have to showcase a house with all the bells and whistles to attract buyers. Most homeowners (especially first time homeowners) don't have the mental or visual perspicaciousness or acuity of sense if shown a home with the basics, no upgrades, and an empty space. While I Iike the idea on buying the basic builder grade, low end products in thier overly-inflated showrooms, there are pros and cons in this approach. Some astute homeowners will incorporate low quality products the builder offers and perform a massive demolation and reno thereafter before moving in. This option is very viable if you have the resources, possess the handyman skill sets as a DIY project or contractors are already lined up (pros). Additionally, this will reduce your home price at closing and lower your mortgage payments (pros). The cons in this is if you don't perform due deligence and price comparisons, you may be paying about the same or more. Anticipate that it will be difficult to find very good quality contractors who are already pre-occupied with builders and the amount of time to research those contractors' quality of work. Particularly dealing with a David Weekly home, they don't come cheap either. My experience is to go with upgrades that make practical sense. Our last home purchase included not upgrading the bathroom fixtures, have pre-wiring for pendant kitchen lights and bedroom fan/lights, we decided to go with level III tile flooring (because the builder was asking too much for engineer harwood flooring or LVPs) since it was concrete slab and any post reno would had been a massive mess, etc. We closed at $350K. After we moved in, I did all the electrical work and hired a friend who is a plumber that installed all the fixtures we bought which the builder would had charged an arm and a leg. But, yes! I would speculate that if the buyer would go with all the upgrades as shown, it would probably add another $100K.
When I was looking this past winter and spring, this house was easily $430k and up with these upgrades. I don’t find this misleading. I wanted something like this and couldn’t wait. I would have loved this as this is my price range.
Same with apartments. They give the low rental price to attract and then tell you all the fees on the back end. It really is unnecessary but it’s just something people will have to go in understanding. Plus lot sizes there are really small. A lot of developments cram the houses together.
Even at base, very inexpensive. I’m Canadian East coast and my house is only 1/2 of that and even with the market coming down I can still get way over 1.2. This house is gorgeous but I’m getting older all I want is a tiny 2 bedroom. Now that would be awesome.
Go to South Florida especially Broward County & Miami and you will get a 1 story trash bucket with that features an unstable sinkable roof that must be fixed because all the amount heavy rainfall it's been damaged by, small parking space, small yard, some house barely have yard filled with grass over here.
This is a model house and the price is for the base model. You can safely add a minimum of $150k to this price and you will get the cost of this particular house. I liked the house, the designers did a good job.
I just got a new built home from Castle Rock builders amazing price and big 2 story house with open floor and high sealing please look for more options because remember the upgrades are what makes the model home look amazing and I found castle rocks to be way cheaper and with upgrades
Loving it! I am retiring soon and my destination is going to be Texas; however, I am not sure which city!!! I am leaning towards Houston, especially, the outskirt of the city. Please advise! Thanks
I have seen the house tour, just wondering what is a price for this house including upgrades. Do you have any inventory homes still available with a price range 350 - 370? Thanks in advance for your help. Warmest regards, Van Bui
What area of Houston? We just bought a house for 360k and it’s 1700 sqft and it looks nothing like that, I think the house pricing depends 100% on the area you buy it at.
This house one will cost us a fortune or almost a mill or even pass that which they are only located in places around Doral, the Keys, Aventura, Biscayne, Golden Glades, North Miami Beach & South Beach.
seems like price is being inflated on the site. could be due to people purchasing up the properties, or something else, because it's even more expensive today.
Can we put accurate pricing? These homes are 100k+ more than what this is listed at. This is a way to lure in buyers and have them use your lender to "make it work". Meanwhile the person cannot actually afford it. It's nice but there is no way I'm paying half a million dollars with that size lot and those size bedrooms.
It says in the first seconds of the video, FROM 353K. We can see all the upgrades. Even if 200K of upgrades, that would be a bargain in my are of coastal NC. This house would go for at least 625K unfortunately.
Don't include the upgrades and for this price you can bet they will use the cheapest materials and unskilled labor the builders can find, for the house they build for you. And in a few years everything will start to fall apart.
The camera man or woman did ok but not well. Anybody else notice the missed area next to the utility room what was that area? And is there no tub in the master bathroom? Lastly what was behind the double doors in the master bathroom? For this to be close to $400,000 I'm not impressed, besides these numbers no longer exist even with no upgrades. I'm from Houston born and raised and this is just gentrification at its finest. Sad.

Yes. If that were the true price then the materials and workmanship must be the shoddiest ever.
True. Or either this home was built in a lot that was already owned. But what I see seems ALOT more than the price shown in the video title.
When I was looking this past winter and spring, this house was easily $430k and up with these upgrades. I don’t find this misleading. I wanted something like this and couldn’t wait. I would have loved this as this is my price range.

Мечтаю жить в Америке! Какой отличный дом, в нем все очень гармонично! Обожаю американские дома, это лучшее, что есть для жизни человека.
As a Houston woman this is so cool. Following now
Actual great price and value. Love it!
Even at base, very inexpensive.
I’m Canadian East coast and my house is only 1/2 of that and even with the market coming down I can still get way over 1.2.
This house is gorgeous but I’m getting older all I want is a tiny 2 bedroom. Now that would be awesome.
A house that is stage like this one peeks a lot more interest of what could be.
Love everything about this house. 🤩
I love this home for me, it beautifully put together!!!❤
My favorite part of this house is the kitchen. The primary bedroom should of been bigger.
Go to South Florida especially Broward County & Miami and you will get a 1 story trash bucket with that features an unstable sinkable roof that must be fixed because all the amount heavy rainfall it's been damaged by, small parking space, small yard, some house barely have yard filled with grass over here.
You need to move if it’s that miserable over there. It’s in your own hands.
@@Wazupiseeyou EXACTLY!!
Just don't move to Houston its over populated. Traffic has never been bad now its ridiculous even at 9pm.
finally a house without steps. Unfortunately, where I live 200k costs just a small lot
This is a model house and the price is for the base model.
You can safely add a minimum of $150k to this price and you will get the cost of this particular house.
I liked the house, the designers did a good job.
This price is over 2-3 years ago… This house is easily doubled what they are claiming. Especially depending on the location
That kitchen is perfect
It looks like a very practical floor plan. Would like to know how much the baby would cost in Bastrop or Dripping Springs.
I just got a new built home from Castle Rock builders amazing price and big 2 story house with open floor and high sealing please look for more options because remember the upgrades are what makes the model home look amazing and I found castle rocks to be way cheaper and with upgrades
With the upgrades put in this model house, this would cost potentially $200K more from the base price.
*These are not available at this price (where'd that # come from?). They start at $516,990*
Incredible home.....Love it
That is a nice home. I paid so much more for a Town home in Northern Virginia

Loving it! I am retiring soon and my destination is going to be Texas; however, I am not sure which city!!! I am leaning towards Houston, especially, the outskirt of the city. Please advise! Thanks

It is beautiful
Business man casually walks by.

Ilove it,looks beautiful😊
I think the space is well used for the sq. ft, however I think I would have stole 8 inches from the office to give to the front bedroom.
Not sure about the price, it also depends a lot on the location/community, same home can easily have a difference of 40-60 k.
What part of Houston?
This house one will cost us a fortune or almost a mill or even pass that which they are only located in places around Doral, the Keys, Aventura, Biscayne, Golden Glades, North Miami Beach & South Beach.
I love it 🎉
Sell me the kitchen only and bury me in the master closet.
This house is actually 516.990
seems like price is being inflated on the site. could be due to people purchasing up the properties, or something else, because it's even more expensive today.
516k still pretty good house compare to spokane, wa, if this house in spokane, it would be 1million $
Hi Do you have any new build home in Richmond và Katy?
I love thissss !
Beautyfull home
Love it 😍
Now how much with all those premiums and additions you are showing?
Hey i liked this in a hunt if house now in houston
Yes. 346-252-9978
I love the house
I liive on the west coast. housing market is insanely inflated. My house is $150k more, not nearly as nice.
The only thing I don’t like is the multi colored brick. Why not the same brick color for the entire exterior?

Wow☕️🤙
I want it
Where is this house located?
I'm house hunting 🏡😊🚚
Can you please share add where is this house located thanks
Don't include the upgrades and for this price you can bet they will use the cheapest materials and unskilled labor the builders can find, for the house they build for you. And in a few years everything will start to fall apart.
I bet you this house located far away from houston city
price is right now
Please give school information.
The entrance of this house looks like a cave 😢
👍
Where is this house? What country?
Houston, Texas, USA
Of course nothing about that model is anywhere NEAR $359K. That price would get you plastic plumbing fixtures and builder-grade everything
almost nice video , but a lot of glare on camera.
Wish area is that home can we talk
1,000

Not a fan of the floor plan. No bath tub, small bedrooms. All bedrooms at the front of the house…..nope
fake price
Totally misleading my guess is closer to 700
What world they live in Florida newest Welfare state for decades will not afford that. Maybe shipping container shotgun shacks.
Budget the average American csnt afford 300... your nuts
Beautiful home
