Props to Alienware for having all the IO positioned at the back. I really do like that, so things are all out of the way and won't be hit by the heat that is exhausted. Especially if you have it on a cooler or a raiser of some sort. Really like how the trackpad looks and sounds. The click of the seems really premium. I have to say, I am so picky with trackpads. I rarely enjoy using them. The 9i is the first laptop I've been 100% comfortable using the trackpad. This one might be one I would be fine with using if I forgot a mouse. It also lighting up is super nice when using the laptop in the dark. Fans sound like they are really doing what they need to do, yeeting all that heat out. The overall thinness is also super nice. Portable powerhouse. Definitely a mobile game/work station. Great review as always :D
I just bought this laptop last week to replace my old Alienware Area 51 desktop. It looks super nice! I got a black Friday deal and it was $2499.00 It has the same specs as yours with the 4080 GPU.
It’s very dim but it’s a a matte display so eye ball wise I think it’s comparable to 400 nitts on a reflective panel . I still think it’s disappointing there’s no high brightness mini led or oled panel
How would you setup the drives in raid when windows 11 doesnt support raid when you use 1 of your drives for windows.?.....imaging would be the better answer
Hey can you check if a windows update people taking about will increass ryzen laptops performance also like i wana know if tasks like editing and all that only depends on cpu power increases like cinebench score and all
Nice laptop, but we're now just too close to CES 2025 in January, where the new Arrow Lake and 50xx GPUs are being unveiled... dropping so much money for a top end laptop when new models are so close is a bit dumb, IMO. And the screen on this may look nice for what it is but when sitting next to the best in class 500nit LCD panels and OLEDS, its very 2nd rate for the money.
its not but it is.The new ones are going to be stupid exspensive and they are going to come with problems so no point is buying them when they first come out and this would have made more sense with a 4080 because the difference in everything for gpu is minor all around. I do agree the screen has great colors but its not gonna look nice regardless to a mini led or oled regardless or the 50 series lol.
looks sweet, wish it was lighter than 2kg heh.. Also Beau, would you get the Vivobook S 16 or Zenbook S 16? Im deciding between these and a Thinkpad T14S AMD, will be using on battery on my lap a lot so the look/feel/heat, keyboard, trackpad and display are very important.. Not sure about stuff like the XPS 13/14 and Spectre 14 either (huge discounts)
Soldered RAM no upgrade path so if you buy the thing with 16gb then you are stuck with that. No way Jose. Thin, and impractical. Sorry this is definitely not for me
so thin. so cheap. so expensive to repair. and none of these reviewers tell you that when it comes to a re paste you have to take the thing all the way apart just to do that. any repair shop auto add $$$ onto the bill just cos it's an alienware
Just pick this up for $2699 cyberdeal absolutely mind blown i9 4090 64gb 2tb cant wait for delivery i almost got the 7i pro until i saw the deals over at dell insane and they have the M18 i9 32gb 1tb 4080 for $2200

Could you place a camera on top cause videos kinda look stretched from this point of view. Great video by the way

Everything about this laptop is good, EXCEPT, the display, it's too DIMM
It’s very dim but it’s a a matte display so eye ball wise I think it’s comparable to 400 nitts on a reflective panel .
I still think it’s disappointing there’s no high brightness mini led or oled panel
People use a monitor anyways
how's the temp for this laptop?
@@ccentric8625 then it's better to just get PC
And soldered RAM 👎
Is worth getting? I have the M16 R1 4090 i9
love your content bro!!! keep pushing!
Thanks. I’m glad you are enjoying it 🙏
First one here, great job!!! Please review the Asus Tuf A14 I think that would be my next laptop!
Asus is junk. No one cares if they see an Asus.
What software do you use for the in-game gpu/cpu stats like watts, fps, vram, usage, temps etc?
MSI Afterburner
did you get bsod yet?
How would you setup the drives in raid when windows 11 doesnt support raid when you use 1 of your drives for windows.?.....imaging would be the better answer
windows 11 absolutely supports raid
Alian should bring back those side and back led light display
The white coloured previous generation were actually magnesium, I have the X14.
13:13, 13:28 wobbly laptop or wobbly desk?
Wobbly desk
From a value perspective, which is a better gaming laptop: Asus Zephyrus g16 or the X16 both with the same rtx 4080 config?
The X16 for pure gaming, G16 if you plan to use it for work or carry it around for office stuff
Hey can you check if a windows update people taking about will increass ryzen laptops performance also like i wana know if tasks like editing and all that only depends on cpu power increases like cinebench score and all
It does, I’ve already noticed on a couple of machines
@@TechGuyBeau ive seen people say only desktop processors not on laptops thats why i asked if you can do a short video on this please
Only question how long will it last if im spending above 3000$. ,???
4 fans and cpu temp reach out 101°C woow
whats worse, it was only hitting 50% load! Typical Alienware thermals are terrible.
Does the laptop still work? I’ve heard Alienware doesn’t last.
That is a very very old trend
ALIENWARE ADD A MINI LED OR OLED DISPLAY AND MAKE THE CHASSIS A BIT COMPACT AND MY WALLET IS YOURS!!
Why did I read this in kratos voice to ares
They gotta upsell the XPS line with superior screen
Me watching this video even though I can't afford even a Legion 5.
My good sir should I go for Acer, lenovo or Alienware? Pls answer
Lenovo
my i7 14650hx in lenovo legion has more cinibech score then utra 9 mine score is around 21l+
That’s because the hx is a super high wattage/heat processor. The core ultra is a lower wattage variant for thin laptops

Nice video bro, but the laptop is full metal the palm rest is magnesium alloy not plastic
3000$ USD OR CAD?
i wish to see smartwatch from alianware , that displays alian logo in the darkness

Bro, why you always say really really nice😂
Too bad Alienware don't exist in my country 😢
Bro,why do u have such a good laptop but use such a crappy mouse?
This seems refurbished i guess
Soldered RAM no upgrade path so if you buy the thing with 16gb then you are stuck with that. No way Jose. Thin, and impractical. Sorry this is definitely not for me
No OLED no BUY!
Buy me one
Buy me one first

it uses liquid metal... so really no need to repaste as long as its good from when you get it.
