Hi Gary Went to Roti King on Sunday, owing to this video. All I can say is, thank you. Had to queue up for maybe 30 minutes to get a table, but my god was it worth it! Had the Beef and Dhal Roti, honestly some of the best Asian food in London.
Went to the Euston RK today Q for 20mins mid-day, this was my first ever visit, and was really looking forward to it. As I am diabetic and Roti is a far better option in comparison to a Naan. I have had many Currys with Roti, but then you have Roti and Roti King Roti, no comparison, it is in another world of quality. For anyone else with DB2, I did have a 20min walk after but had no Spike on my CGM. If I compare this to a Naan, then I would have a spike like the Shard on my CGM. Can't wait to visit again next time I am down in London!
I subscribed as soon I seen a Mat Salleh (white man is known in Malaysia) going gaga over curries & roti in London. Unusual, so join in to find out what was it all about.
Love Malaysian food..Congrats on your 1st video on British soil, although I prefer you back doing reviews here in Thailand but as long as you do come back..I can wait lol.
I was really impressed as as well! I haven’t eaten a ton of Malaysian food in London but this is by far the best I’ve had. Glad you liked it Francis! Thanks
Roti King is amazing but the lines for both takeaway and dine in are chaotic. You have to go between 2-3PM during the weekday to not have to wait in line. Their demand far surpasses their man power unfortunately. You know it's good when you see like 10 pieces of luggage because people are so desperate to eat there as their last meal in London before they head out of town that they are willing to bring their huge suitcases in there, lol. I always get the fish curry here with some roti. Really deep flavors and delicious. One of my go to spots in London along with Hoppers (Sri Lankan), Tayyabs (Pakistani) and Kebabish Original (Afghani),
Yeah it was crazy but worth the wait in the end! Definitely my kind of place. Yeah seeing the people outside with the suitcases was brilliant! I'm going to try hoppers next week hopefully!
@@theroamingcook I think you will be blown away by Hoppers. They have one on Wigmore street. You should try to get out to Sri Lanka next time you are in Asia. I'm Filipino American and it's my favorite vacation spot / food spot in Asia. Sri Lankan and Trinidadian are my favorite cuisines but I am a fan of any derivative of Indian food (Thai, Malaysian, Trini, Sri Lankan, Jamaican).
Very very good vid. Perfect editing and filming👍 Food looks amazing expecially roti. Thick curry with star anis. I can tasty it 😉. You can get good food every where, almoust. Keep doing Gary, keep doing👍👍🇬🇧
Thank you as always Jouni, much appreciated 🙏🙏. You would love this place, the curry is so rich! Yeah there is always good food if you are prepared to hunt 😀
Rendang is from sri lanka and kerala india, the only thing differences its sweet n little dry in Malaysia . Most of all could say all Malaysian dishes are similar to Thailand, Vietnam, China, Indonesia, India, Sri lanka. Their original traditional food, I mean no mixture of other cultures, honestly so far I dnt know n I believe non.
Directions and opening times in the google link as always 👍

For the one at Borough Market, are you referring to Mei Mei?
No Joli I think it was called. It was ok, nothing wrong with it just the roti was not in this league. Mei Mei is Singaporean right?
@@theroamingcook yes its Singaporean by chef Elisabeth. I'm glad its not them as I'm a Singaporean.😄
