    In this video, I will search through all the old Silver coins and other coins from the 2 bags I purchased from my Silver/Coin Dealer. I paid $1500 in total but he knows the things I like and said that a customer came in and just sold all of their coin collection to him. Since I usually purchase all the old silver and he knows I like copper too, he let me get it all!
    I will be looking for key dates, semi key dates, upgrades, and of course and varieties within the years I hunt. I also will be assessing the value of the 2 bags to see if I did good in buying this coin collection.
    Hopefully you all enjoy this video! I know it's a bit long, but we had a lot to go through!

    Rob, that is a Twenty Cent piece not a quarter!

    • @tomkirby3281
      @tomkirby3281 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Agreed. He should see the eagle looks different, and he had the zoom in where it clearly said TWENTY. Also, it is slightly smaller, but it is too close in size to the quarter, leading to the short life of this series.

    Great vid bro! I ain’t mad when you have a long vid at all bcuz they’re always fantastic! As I always say, your a true fountain of coin knowledge - love it! The best part of this vid was that large cent with the “alterations” - if you will - because I never heard the back story behind those, super interesting!! I wish you could have went into more detail, although I def understand that you were trying to keep it rated G as well haha….But when you were explaining the situation on that large cent about the “E” changed to a “U” - your chuckle as you were tip-toeing around it - was absolutely priceless!!! Hahaha good stuff brother!

    That coin at 17:30 is a twenty-cent piece, not a Seated Liberty quarter. It's a little smaller than a quarter and has a smooth rather than a reeded edge. The eagle on the reverse also looks like that on a Trade dollar. That's good news because the twenty-cent coin is worth considerably more than the common 1875-S quarter.

    • @Cardmaster12
      @Cardmaster12 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s funny cuz the 1875S 20 cent piece actually had a substantially higher mintage than the 1875S quarter, it’s just more desired and as such worth a lot more.

    I just acquired some of the barbers and a peace dollar in the same years as yours that were high relief and except for the two of them having (one Barber and the 1921 peace dollar) the black tarnish on one side of the coins they're in excellent shape in my opinion and I'm going to go with your experience with coins and say that they're worth what you quoted easily. Considering all's I did was do some repair work for this lady in exchange for them I came out way ahead I feel pretty good about adding them to my collection! Thanks Rob you're the man!

    Great assessments esp. Trade dollars and that bag of Wheaties. I got some nickels and Wheaties from a teller at my bank. Some 1920s and a few thirties wit a slew of 1940s Wheaties. It was fun sorting through and I got to help out the teller. Good will there. There we also domed and quarters but only a few 2009 quarters. Still helped build a relationship with a teller.

    Dunt worry about your video lengths, as they are filled with useful information. You don't hem and haw, and say ummm, every other word, and it's really neat to see the older coins. I appreciate your videos

    Pretty much a type set starting kit in those bags. Great purchase Rob!

    Cool fines, I found a place where I live and they call me now because I bought a lot of junk silver from them. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work, 👍👏
