- In a new episode of Comic Book Shopping, we’re joined by Rick and Morty stars Sarah Chalke (Beth) and Chris Parnell (Jerry). If you like comics and celebrity interviews, this is your show. Each week we’re joined by a new guest who hits up a local comic book shop with host Jon Schnepp and peruses the wares while also discussing their career, upcoming projects, and of course their favorite comic books.
In this week’s episode, Chalke and Parnell join Schnepp at Meltdown Comics to talk about the third season of Rick and Morty, their favorite comic books growing up, the difference between live-action acting and voice acting, and the experience of being a part of something as intensely popular as Rick and Morty. Chalke and Parnell also tease the new plot point of Season 3 that finds Beth and Jerry separated, revealing the journeys that their characters now go down separately throughout the season. The trio also peruses the comics aisles as Schnepp makes recommendations both for Chalke and Parnell, as well as Chalke’s son who’s obsessed with Star Wars.

I love how Chris doesn't even need to really change his voice to play Jerry so well
They also look like their characters. I would love a scene where they play themselves and christopher Lloyd plays rick but doesn't actually speak.
He's one of those actors who get's hired specifically because of the voice he has.

Nah I don't think he breaks 12 feet. Maybe one or 2 inches over 12 feet max.
It only makes his story about confronting rude theater goers all the more funny.

I love the show, good production values and Schnepp is a good host. However, sometimes it seems like the guest doesn't really want to be there. It gets awkward.

Great episode! I love Jon Schnepp as a knowledgeable host who can give recommendations. I used to have a crush on Sarah Chalke on Scrubs, cool that she likes comics. She's great on Rick & Morty. I love that Chris liked Plastic Man growing up. Truly a comic book fan. His Jerry is so damn funny too. Hope his arm heals up well.

I wish I had help with my dyslexia when I was younger so I could read all them comics. The art looks amazing
TheMuffinMan when I was younger I would rarely read comics. I got the gist the story from the artwork. It wasn't until I was in my early teens that I started reading the word balloons. That's the magic of comic books! Good visuals told you the plot in broad strokes but the words flesh it out and enriched the experience!

I'm glad they mentioned Gord Downie's comic. Gord is a Canadian musician who was diagnosed with untreatable Brain cancer last summer, and responded to that by deciding to go on tour as a farewell and thank you to the fans who made his career a success. Gord's fought for rights and better treatment for first nation's populations, especially women, and used his celebrity platform here in Canada to inspire and make the world a better place.
I've been so happily surprised with how much I enjoy these.

There is no better show at the moment that deals with comedy yet the serious undertone than Rick and Morty! Awesome show!
Since everything is going daily, this is now THE best weekly show on the channel! Not counting Schmoedown since that is twice a week.
