I can't imagine what kind of uncouth person would vote this down. This was one of my favorite pieces of music when I was a teenager, and I hadn't heard it in ages. Ms. Sara Mingardo has a voice that brought me to tears, she has the voice of an angel, the whole production, the voices, the orchestra, all of it was superb. You fed my soul, thank you.

I remember how Baroque music had a revival in the early 1960s and now, with such directors and performers, it is having a splendid renaissance. This more complete version of the Gloria is very welcome. I greatly admire Alessandrini as an interpreter of the music and of course I worship Sara Mingardo.
Just Beautiful! I always had so much fun performing this on the cello and violin with my various orchestras over the years,. I hope we never lose these great classics. Because once they are dead and gone, so are we as a people. :-(

Abroad they portray us like a nation of lazy loud Mediterranean peasants and I get so mad because of it. We are certainly more than those stereotypes. This magnificent piece of music is just a tiny example of our millenarian culture. There’s so much Italian influence in western culture that you even can’t imagine.
