he's catching shade online but you have to respect how difficult it is to come in to this division as an outsider... going in as a back-up for this fight seems like an easy paycheck but with the current covid situation and the amount of cancelled fights in the last 9 months there was a real chance that he was going to have to step in...
I think he's absolutely right to be looking for a fight with Gaethje - it makes sense for both fighters at this point -- they both need a win before being considered for a title shot... I just hope they don't turn Connor-Poirier into a title fight...

@@dhm5675 Round 1 he ended with an armbar, so when he mounted Gaethje in round 2, he had he armbar setup but I think he was baiting it to transition to the triangle, then he hooked the leg. Masterclass
@Salman Khan I mean he was landing jabs and his head movement as usual was effective. I mean I find it weird with all these so called "master strikers" like conor, poirier, barbosa and you name it cant land a clean shot on him

Nah, Jones, GSP and Anderson Silva were all better. The latter two fought up a weight class, and Jones is a better all-round fighter. Khabib is great, but he fights the same way every time and stayed at LW, where he was big.
@@johnboylan3832 for me u can't be in the conversation if u have multiple infractions with usada. Jones and silva are out of the picture for me. We have seen GSP get his lights put out and submitted. Khabib is 29-0 has won 58 of 60 rounds fought, has never been dropped, has never bled in a fight, or have a cut. Imo its not even close. Gsp, jones and silva all have loses and khabib has never been in trouble. Ever. Idc if u saw the matt Hamil loss doesn't count. A disqualification is a loss.

I've known Michael Chandler since like 09 when I was about 16 years old. Former 3x bellator champion. I remember ordering multiple clothing items from his Blessed Threads store he had back in the day, and I looked up to him. I've always wanted to see him in the UFC and now fast forward 11 years later, he is finally here. I can't wait to see him take over the division. He is a great fighter and most importantly, a great human being.
Chandler's an amazing fighter. The UFC is lucky to have him. He'll give any of the top 5 fighters at 155 a run for their money.
I work with his cousin and uncle. Whole family scraps. That's the Chandler name lol

Is there another fighter in combat sports history who hasn't taken any damage at all? And let's not forget how violent the UFC can be and that the 155 division is one of the best and most difficult...
