I think you have a good idea traveling light. The longer you do this car camping you will learn better ways of doing things. Think outside of the box 😊
Yup i had the same aet up with my doggie & then out her water & food on the side i wasnt sleeping on in my 2007 saturn ion Of course now j have a.tent which is a little bigger & better but srayed in rhe car for over a year i always had my windows down i went to walmart but one of those megnetic screens for house doors cut to size of windows each side then connected it inside draped them over the top at night before i shut the front doors thar way rhere in the morning or when i got to go somewhere i would just undrape them & go I bought actually a memory foam mattress topper from walmart very comfy on clearance for $.45
I love Walmart clearance! I want to do some tent camping soon, probably will wait out the hot weather tho before I start, but I also have to buy a tent so maybe I’ll find one on clearance! Sounds like you had a great setup!
Thanks for being here! This is true and in the past I’ve done this, but not necessary. If I flip the visor up then the head rest doesn’t hit anything. And I also like to use the headrest for my phone holder at night!
When you fold the back seats down is there a ridge where the bottom meets the cargo area or does it fold completely flat? If there is a ridge do you put something to lebel that out? Nice video!!!
There is a pretty decent bump, I personally don’t put anything there because the the mattress makes it almost not noticeable! One option you could use is, Walmart and other stores sell a small very folding table. They fit perfect in this space and makes up for that bump! Thanks for being here and thanks for watching!
You can also use another blanket like I use at my head, try the mattress tho, it’s a game changer for my sleep but you can also fluff that area up with blankets on sleep on a sleeping bag! Definitely options to help you!
@@Rickyleehb I used to watch a guy wjo lived in is car here in FL called Inspirational Nomad who lived in a Jeep Renegade. He had a simple set up and suggested just keep it simple and use what you got. But he seems to have moved on to other stuff. Jake McCollum (Prius) has a good setup and so does Bren P Grace (Subaru Outback). They both live in their cars and do gig work. You all seem like pretty cool guys!Simple is better to me, a no build approach. But a comfortable sleep makes a world of difference. Thanks again!
@@wellsbells75 all amazing guys for sure! I’m all for simple, I’m big, tiny car. I wanna be able to move and spread out. Bren is an awesome guy who’s on a journey for sure! I actually get some suggested views from some of his videos(I can see which videos recommend mine in my TH-cam studio analytics) I watch when he puts on videos for sure!
I wish I could do this, but being married with three kids at home makes it hard, not a lot of space for it in my vehicle lol. I want to RV full time but wife has her heart set on getting a house in the countries second most expensive state. She ain't getting a house unless she married someone else who has that goal! I think you'd fare a lot better in a minivan, I often dream of converting mine to live in.
Thanks for being here! I hope one day your dream comes true! You are right about a minivan, or even a transit connect. One day maybe! But fortunately I no longer live in vehicles full time and only use this setup when I am traveling! Perfect way to save Cash! Hope you had a great weekend!
You have a small car... please don't take this in the wrong way .. but have you ever consider losing some weight ? you could fit in that car better and be more flexible/ comfortable when sleeping , getting in and out the car etc. I'm older than you and have a weight problem...my dr told me to lose 40 pounds asap . I have a desk job working long days and very tired when I finish work .. I have been trying to work out myself .. and did lose a few pounds, but its hard. Like me, if you lose some weight you will feel better, have more flexiblity and be more comfortable in that smaller SUV.
Nice setup! Love the phone holder
Thanks for being here! I love it to be honest!
thumbs up for Bentley :)
Oh you know it!

Thanks for all the info earlier.
Thanks man! Nice meeting you!
Like your setup.
Thanks Nick! Glad you’re here!
Maybe the passenger seat head rest will pull out temporarily to make some room for the seat to fold forward more, just a suggestion. Great vid thanks👍

@@Rickyleehb Good idea. Just need to improvise. There's a small ridge in the Prius I have but haven't put a mattress back there yet.

Hey Jimmy, thanks for the comment! Weight lose and living better is apart of this journey
@@Rickyleehb Yes, I need to lose weight too for my health .. at my size, there is no way I could sleep in a small car.
