Nice mid-week surprise NSF Live. Short but sweet! Thank you NASASpaceflight.
Thank you Mark Peller for your insight and discussion of the new rocket. There is something for everyone in todays launch systems. experience over the years have given ULA a big advantage, Kudos to the team and thank you again. Your passion is evident.
Great live pod cast, Great job Lon & NSF. Thank you!!!
thanks for the interview
What a great interview! Lon got a lot covered in a short time, thanks!
Mahalo, Lon! Great interview! Aloha!
It's great to see Lon hosting a podcast. Lon is professional and clear in his presentation. Please use him more. Thank you for the coverage.
Well done! Great interview!
@nasaspaceflight Ok that needs to be added to the intro. It fits PERFECTLY. "Ok thank you, cue me in when you're ready" then BAM opening song.
Vulcan Heavy, yes please!
I’m part of the solid booster GEM63XL engineering team. Glad our boosters can be a part of your long term vision. Thank you!
Hi! Thanks you're great ❤
Love you all
He didn't say no about vulcan heavy...
Lon’s back!! 🎉
It needs to land and be reusable if it will last.
Good interview, I never would have thought to dress like the guest.
Sounds like human rating Vulcan would not be the enormous challenge often cited. We will wait and see what direction the market/demand goes in a very dynamic situation, but it is interesting to know this is a very achievable step, and could positively influence the business case for new options that could enhance Vulcan's relevancy.
Please make an interview with Tory Bruno.
Are we all Star dust Left behind?
Goodbye delta 4 heavy goodbye soon atlas V and hello vulcan centaur
Moo moo moo moo
ELON MUSK said that he is interested in buying ULA, not for the rocket technonology, but ULA has so much MILITARY SPACE CONTRACT pending.
Citation desperately needed
ULA an extinct company holding on as best can and why Bruno walked away. BO buying the technology is ok but there are issues with the ULA technology for rockets. It's extremely slow, extremely costly and not made for reusability. 80% of the ape
Ace industry is outdated and only kept in place due to economic reasons.
What about reusability?
Let me deliver the most idiotic corporate talk ever.
Old dinosaurs try to explain why extinction is ok.
Guess we'll see how that all works. Peregrine could certainly have launched on another vehicle, but they chose Vulcan.
The Vulcan booster pushes the upper stage much higher before separating, making the Centaur capable of more on-orbit maneuvers, in LEO, geosynchronous , translunar injection, and planetary mission scenarios. There are also plans to gain reusability through use of heat shields to provide for future booster engine module recovery. Should probably let some of those plans/features play out on subequent missions before calling things "idiotic".
