  • He was born at just under two pounds and he was born autistic, blind, and with Savant syndrome. That is what makes Tony DeBlois so utterly awesome, that and his love for Frank Sinatra. www.myfoxboston...

Wooooah! When the woman asked him about the people that didn't listen to music,I was expecting some cliche answer like "Listen to music because it's worth it" ,his answer that it's okay to be different amazed me because not only it makes sense, but it's like he is proving a point with his own special way of being.
    Just amazing!

He is very talented- I also like the fact that he can speak for himself! Many Autistics aren’t able to do that!

The people who disliked it are just jealous in an angry way. The people who liked it are amazed and wowed.

As a musician I am angry he can do those things so effortlessly and I have to practise hours and hours everyday to be able to play a couple songs, but at the same time I am amazed and wowed!Definitely gave my like to this amazing creature !

I always thought that this form of autism with the skill for music is limited to memorising and learning how to play or sing a certain music quickly but i didn't know that some of the savants are also able to create new amazing music.that was new to me!

I love Tony! I've known him since the early 90s when I worked with him as his music therapist. Once I went to a show he was doing in Somerville year later and randomly asked him if he could play the Star Trek Next Generation theme song. I am certain he'd never played it before. He played it so amazingly, with all the orchestral parts balanced against one another and it affirmed for me that he is 1 in a million!

I would have asked him to play The Boom Town Rats I Don't Like Mondays or one of Elton's less heard hits.

Minute 2.30 One of Mozart Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Variation. He obviously Heard it before. Probable he can play all the 12 Mozart variations of this tune by ear, wich is in fact really amazing.

I wonder if this is more common than might have been expected; the UK has Derek Paravicini who must be about the same age, and currently a 14 year old girl, Lucy.
Did Tony ever get to play Rhapsody in Blue with the Boston Phil.?
