And they do protect their own very well--they have money, power, control and the media. At times I will see the left using a minority or a minority viewpoint as a shield against any criticism, as they then use that shield to bludgeon their opposition all the while screaming that they are being attacked, when in reality they are being criticized for their beliefs or actions based on a reality that they refuse to accept.
