Framers pricing & payment processing is the biggest hurdle they face to scale as a company. I wish they took it more seriously. I love the tool, but it's chaos with clients with remix links and paying for a pro plan just to setup a 301 redirect.
Spot on! Thanks for making the video Loic. I've politely raised my concern and query - with Framer 'support' (community forum is the only option), about our agency being charged for editor access to a client's published website - and no response. What a pity. We'll have to run with Webflow instead at this stage, and come back to Framer (maybe) in due course. Great tools - poor attitude towards developers/pricing.
Exactly this is one of the points I also dislike about them at the moment. There is such a limited support. Sure, there is a community, but if you need to ask something just a tad more specific, then there is basically no real support
Good video, thanks for that. Makes me rethink of building my own portfolio website in Framer instead of Webflow to test Framer out. Those are some serious limitations you are showing, what a bummer. I can totally get the frustration in the Framer community.
You can, and you probably should, still continue working with Framer. It's a tool that's bound to evolve. I love building with Framer, but unfortunately, they are not putting all their efforts on the most important point at the moment. Hopefully, they will realize this soon enough, and will guide the product in the right direction
Great video Loic, I was thinking about starting an agency and use framer, now not sure anymore. I am curious what your final decision is, framer? webflow? Wix? Can you build as sophisticated website with animations etc in wix?
Ultimately, it all depends on what kind of website you want to build. Framer is probably the nicest platform to build in. I love building in Framer much more than any other platform on there, but in the end, what matters is also serving your clients right. Unfortunately, at the moment, it's not possible to serve all types of clients with Framer. Hopefully, they realize this can be a limitation to their platform growth, in that they need to steer away from only bringing design updates and start adding more core functions.
Thank you for making this video. they absolutely need to listen their customers. I'm a new user, and at first time, I thought this product is incredible and fantastic. But now, I rethink to use it despite of great features.
As a Webflow user, they recently did something similar. Always raising prices. Pretty much no new features in 4 years of using. They added “analytics” which should be free but u have to pay an extra 30-40+ just to see them. They also removed memberships and all that so i don’t even use their e-commerce system anymore
Well, every website builder does SEO whether they want it or not. The whole question is how much flexibility are they giving their end users when it comes to building a website that's optimized for SEO or not.
Webflow is price gouging as well. Honestly wordpress with a builder is a the best option to make websites in 2025. Very powerful tools if you know how to use them. Also you own all your own data and pay for your own host.
I wish... I still preferred Framer; they've built the best tool. This is more a video about showing them that they should listen to their own customer better. That's all there is. I love their product, but sometimes, I feel like they are not going the right direction, and a lot of other people seem to think so

yes... They are missing a real opportunity to go really mainstream if they got their pricing right.
@@LoicReco 10000% I hope they get it soon!

100% agree with you ! I hope they will change and take customer’s feedbacks more seriously …
Yeah, it seems like they haven't really been responding honestly

Absolutely! I got so embarrassed infront of my client. I pushed him away from WP to Framer and bang before our launch prices went high!
someone who make framer copy but with export, broke all market but this tool must be 1 to 1 copy bc framer is best tool
Just when I was learning it..great going 😞

This is always the problem with these low/no code businesses, you are at their mercy.
but framer has SEO part right?
Well, every website builder does SEO whether they want it or not. The whole question is how much flexibility are they giving their end users when it comes to building a website that's optimized for SEO or not.
Buddy I just recommended this to a client
Framer is great; it's an amazing tool. However, a few things aren't right at the moment, and hopefully, they fix it.
Framer partner here. Every word you said is absolutly true!
Thanks. It seems like we are not the only one to think this way
The badest thing in my oppinion is 20$ per Editor… i send the Site to my Client and than, i Cant to anything anymore
that's almost criminal ahha
How do you do your Screen Recording? Bdw… i was looking where i build my Website next. Framer is out for the pricing. Thats only for big Companys.
Yup. I paid $120 and I can barely do anything. Probably just gonna code my site with AI and frustration 😂
