Another interesting fact about tulips, during the honger/hunger winter (last winter of WW II) tulip bulbs were eaten as alternative as no food was available. We Dutchies eat the plain stroopwafels we buy in the grocery store. The stroopwafels you buy with extra's is pure for tourists. Indonesian restaurants can be found all over the Netherlands.
