That touched me🥲 This song was playing during the list of the dead and even though I knew they were fictional characters, it was moving in combination with the music.
That was honestly one of the most brilliant and strong screens on history of games. A bunch of guys lining up who would certainly end up at that mountain in the background.

RIP Richard Joseph. Even though the music here was composed by Jon Hare , he was an amazing musician always delivered an excellent job. And amazing rendition, as usual. That was a song that was really unforgettable when I first heard it on Cannon Fodder and later finding out it was recorded many years before was a real cool thing. And this piano rendition is really very beautiful.

Grazia, your unconventional choice is pure gold! thanks a lot for giving my childhood memories a new shade, though with a little tear in the corner of my eye...
Nature of war - the longer you play, the more graves you see. This music theme still gives me the chills even after all those years. Thank you for this arrangement ^_^
Wow beautiful rendition of a classic, this takes me back to my teens playing Cannon Fodder on the Amiga. Thank you for introducing this wonderful theme to a new generation.
Thank you so much for this performance. Music from an incredible era in life compared to times now should always be remembered. Your rendition has taken it to a whole new level of love & appreciation for these guys & gals who made my time of life a very happy & memorable one. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, if painful at times because you still feel those moments today & wish them back. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You're an absolute genius 👍🏽❤🎵
In the 3DO version of Cannon Foddder, all the names are different. I suspect there's a hidden mission in Red Alert where you travel back to the 3DO timeline and make the squad miss their train, thus saving them from the horrors of pixelated warfare.
I first listened to this performance at work and was grateful that it was the end of the day and most people had gone home because otherwise I would have had to try harder to hide my tears. I had no idea of the backstory of this song until now, more than 30 years after the game came out. It gives the game a whole new level of poignance I was unaware of.
It reminds me, that I have to return to CF, as I've just recently bought that game. The biggest shock for me was the fact, that this song also includes the lyrics outside the game :')
This is an absolutely beautiful rendition. I drifted away for over five minutes... I don't know where my mind wandered too exactly, but it had the perfect accompanying soundtrack. Thank you so much, from a new subscriber ❤
To this day I'm not sure another game has been produced like Cannon Fodder. Truly a standout game and the combination of humour and sincerity/gravitas helped mark it as such. Banana in disk drive error guys. Pour one into your vents for the boys!
Thanks for this great interpretation of a real classic! (I think the original name of the song is "Narcissus" by Jon Hare himself, it has some sax too and lyrics, check it out!)
Mamma mia... già era emotiva l'originale, ma così... Uaho PS: Hai mai pensato di suonare anche il tema di Majula da Dark Souls 2? Sarebbe perfetto per il tuo stile Continua così!
You brought tears to the eyes of 45 years old man.
Thank you
Game music back then was something, better than most stuff on the charts today
Has @jonhare4509 heard this?

War has never been so much fun, but this song has never been so good.
I'm not crying. Goddamit, I'm not crying.
I'd give my right hand to be able to play like you, but then I wouldn't be able to play. You know what I'm saying though! Beautiful as always

Great playing, thank you
Makes me think of all the fallen comrades that got accidentally hit by my own grenades. Lest we forget...
Long Live Jools and Jops. :D
Maybe someone has said this already but I think Jon Hare wrote this with lyrics about one of his relationships.
Yeah, it's easy to find him singing the original song here in TH-cam.
