Fun fact: early (pre-2007) models of the SD70ACe had poor cab isolation, so the cab was super loud and shaky as hell. Most railroads, including BNSF, banned them from leading. Ironically, Dovetail said they "couldn't get reference material" for the post-2006 models with improved isolation it's literally just a black line going down the side of the cab and just behind the nose, it's easy to see in pictures), so now you get to break railroad laws by driving locomotives that should not be allowed to lead! Too bad Dovetail didn't simulate the 9.0-magnitude shaking and the loudness of the thundercabs lol.
@@phannyphanny9053 Big difference, the MAC has the older style comfort cab (hence the M in MAC) and the ACe has a unique cab subsequently reused on the SD80 and SD90 (which both failed) and the ACe-T4 with some modifications.
The locomotive with the air tanks above the fuel tank is EMD Progress Rail and the loco with air tanks embedded in the tank is a General Electric manufacturer.
I really love your train videos, it’s obvious you put a lot of time into producing them. My only suggestion, at least for your North American train videos, is to update your terminology. The whole train, called the “Train,” is everything from the front to the back. Each individual unit that provides power to move the train is a “Locomotive,” not a “train” as you refer to them when explaining how they are different at the beginning of the video. As for non-US trains, they have different names for things that I don’t understand or know. They may refer to locomotives as trains for all I know. I know they call engineers (what we in the US refer to the people who sit on the right side and operate the controls) drivers, which may be more descriptive. Feel free to ignore the rankings of an old rail fan (me), but keep producing these videos. They are very entertaining.
This is helpful. I read the whole thing. I SHOULD know all the terms lol but sometimes i forget in the moment. And it very confusing between US & EU whats called what but thanks alot
One thing to know is that the ES 44 AC engines will have wheel slip more than the AC 70's in the game. I've had a SD 70 on the front and a GE behind and the wheel slip light was on in that unit on the screen even though it wasn't in my lead unit. I wish they had the wheel slip light come on if any unit in the consist is having wheel slip. It shouldn't be that hard to add the feature in the game and make it more realistic.
I enjoy using emd locomotives more then GE ones because different types of GE locos look almost exactly the same from the outside and emds have a lot of differences between different types
one of the differentces between an EMD locomotive and a GE locomotive are the radiator locations on the top.emd,s radiator location is a little far forward whereas ite all the way back on a GE.
Love the way you do the vids ! I really enjoy watching them. I get my radio chatter through live streams. How do you get the radio chatter on this video. That to me adds to the immersion of the whole sim. Thanks for your time and sharing the vid !
Wow 90 unit consist. I play on ps4 so they limit the number of cars to 40 or so and no middle of consist locos just front and rear locos. Edit: I do want to get on PC just need to build something that would play comfortably.
In tsw 3 if you create your own route you can get a sd70 train with 70 tankers and 6 locomotives I believe he has a mod that gives him more on his train
can you get train sim world 3 without game pass let me know cuz if you can buy the dlc that includes the game but i do not know if it will let me play the game but i do not want to buy it ?
Hey blu I kind of need your help so I just got started on train simulator three and I don’t know how to do like the job that you always do it in your videos like those route thing
Good morning. I am French, I live in France in the mountains in the Pyrenees but a very big fan of US trains. Brief. I have all the US DLCs on TSW3 except 3 routes: -Sherman Hill -Horseshoe Curve -Cane Creek Since it's the steam sales right now in France, I'd like to take one of the three routes I'm missing. I hesitate in the Sherman hill and the Horseshoe Curve. (the Cane Creek is too short I find and in 1 lane so no train crossing suddenly it interests me much less) Between the Sherman and the Horseshoe which one do you prefer between the two? I specify that I already have these two roads on TSclassic and that I like them both but as on TSW3 it is not at all the same thing, an opinion is always good to take especially when it comes from an enthusiast like You . Thanks in advance .

@@everettrailfan oh good to know👍
@@everettrailfan so do they use the SD-70AH
@@phannyphanny9053 No, BNSF only has the regular ACe. They had an order for some Tier 4s but canceled it.
I retired last year I designed EMD fuel tanks. I enjoy your channel
Thank you! You “designed” them wow thats really interesting thanks for watching!
The locomotive with the air tanks above the fuel tank is EMD Progress Rail and the loco with air tanks embedded in the tank is a General Electric manufacturer.
Ahhh ok i didnt know that
Some of the older GEs have air tanks situated above the fuel tanks
I exclusively drive the ICE trains I’m TSW3. Watching this made it feel like your train was always at a stop. 😂
Hahahaha. Yea

We need a union pacific rout southern Oregon through northern Cali. The Oregon pass would be dope.
That’ll prolly be a dlc for 40 bucks
SD70 is an EMD-GM locomotive and the AC44 is a General Electric. 2 different manufacturers
Amazing video! Your definitely a underrated TH-camr

Looks much better than TSW2
Much better indeed
@Blu Games Finally got it yesterday! Checking it out soon.
When you talked about the no hud challenge you can start with removing the speed hud with control+5
If i had to choose a favorite route i would choose either southeastern high-speed or dresden to riesa due to variety and frequency
Yea those are top 2 for sure
I love trains so much!
Looks good, thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Love the videos as soon as I get my Xbox get fix I’m back oh it
Hope u get it fix soon man. Thanks for hangin out
Guess I’m getting cajon pass soon for my next route through the tsw5 store
If u already own cajon pass in TSW3 then there's no need to buy in TSW5
Didn't know it snowed in California.
It snows in some parts of California not the whole state. It’s usually in the eastern part of California I believe from seeing stuff online.
@RandomVideoEditors yeah it mainly snows in the mountains and in the east
Good job bro BNSF is the best
