Yes giving birth is traumatic. I prayed and got thru it. God is good
Childbirth pain is brutal. Take it easy, rest, and sleep when the baby sleeps. Stay on point with your nutrition and hydration. God bless the four of you with abundant love and faith❤

Queen, you were okay taking the castor oil. Your body and your decision. My first pregnancy was rough too. I went into labor at 30 weeks, and had my son two weeks later. I was bleeding in my sleep on the couch. The whole pillow was covered in blood. I had lost my brother early on in my pregnancy. I came to live with his girlfriend, and their son my nephew. She was going through it as my brother passed away when his son was three months old. I believe that my brother had his son cry to wake me up. I also believe that my brother saved my son's life. I only woke up to check on my nephew. Now my son is 28 years old and stands at 6 feet 4 inches. He was 2 1/2 months early. Labor does feel like you're flirting with death. I felt the same way. Congratulations again!!!!

Women are not pampered enough in the hospital and sent home to quickly…
In Nigeria, specifically in the Yoruba tribe there is a saying that after you give birth, they welcome you back from a near death experience. I will ask my mother and let you know as most people don't recognise the blessing of getting through the birthing experience. Thank God for prayers, faith and support. Giving birth to my second child was a huge testimony that I have a lot to give thanks for that both of us survived and a miraculous doctor appeared on the scene who helped with pushing the baby out before another doctor came who was awful. Interesting piece of the story, nobody knew who the doctor was as we all saw him (hubby and my mum), in the end we had to conclude he was an angel as the final doctor and nurses said that he was not someone they knew or recognised. God is so very kind.
In Barbados the old ppl would say pregnancy is one foot in the grave and one out. When I became a registered nurse I understood what they meant.
As an Island girl myself, my old Pastor use to say, that women in labor have one foot on a banana peel and the other slipping. You all are blessed! God is good all of the time.
Yes God is so good and good to hear how some of the words spoken from the pastor stuck with you to this day
It is such a blessing. So many people really don't understand what a risk childbirth is and how many things can g9 wrong. Something as simple as everyone coming home together is such a blessing. There are so many babies and moms that have to stay in the hospitals. So very glad that God has His hands on your lives.

Mel, you look really good. I’m sorry that the birth of Cree was a bit traumatic; but I thank God that precious Cree was delivered safely. God is good because out of the trauma came a blessing. What you said was so true Mel. I use to hear my Grandmother say when you give birth your near death! When I had My Husband an I Daughter I literally thought I was going to leave here even after. I developed preeclampsia needed blood an was in the ICU. Thanks be to GOD baby was healthy an it worked out in the end. But childbirth is no joke! Congrats again an blessings to y’all!!🙏🏽🥰🙌🏽

When I got my last child, contractions was kicking my butt and the nurse told me that I was just 3cm dilated and refused to put me in the labour room. So she left me in the waiting room after she examined me even though an older nurse told her because I had multiple births I can deliver at 3cm. She went for my bag and when she returned to the waiting room I had my son cradles between my legs so he won’t slip off the bed. Then the bacchanal started if I wasn’t so sore I would have laughed at her but I glad that nothing bad happened and I hope she learned her lesson.
Everyone woman and every pregnancy is different.

Mel I just love your strength and you and Mo believing in the power of prayer. I am now a senior but you caused me to have a flashback. I only had one child because I hurt so fricking bad for so long. No epidurals at that time and my sister’s child births only lasted few hours. Knowing your story, I wish that I had more of your grit and stamina. I wish nothing but the best for your two boys.
