When I started in model rocketry (Estes and Centuri) D class motors were the biggest you could get. I built and flew just about every one of the Estes line starting with the Mosquito (1/4A engines up to the Estes Cherokee-D on a D12-5. This was back in the mid to late 70s.
Using those concrete form tubes you would be able to build a full scale replica of a Sidewinder AAM. Oh yeah. Any flight that you can recover your rocket in one piece is a good flight.

I found a company that makes 30" diameter sonotubes ! So tempting haha
