      Yes it gives you a bit of a spring (and of course we always need to bend our knees before we do a jump)

      Thank you so much Christina, that's so kind! I don't repeat these advanced hip drops many times in this video because they are very heavy on the hip joint of the standing leg and will hurt if you do them too many times.
      All of these advanced hip drops are tough on the muscles and ligaments in and around the standing hip, and if you do too much repetition you could end up with an injury.
