My tip for the M8 is to wait about a quarter of a second longer than you normally would, if you have the time. I find that if I take that tiny bit longer to line up my shot I will hit all four shots. Rather than shooting instantly and sporadically and missing 25-75% of the first burst

If you lower your sensitivity when using burst weapons its way easier to get 1 bursts. I play on stick and move with a 5-5 sensitivity but when using the m8 or m16 i play on a 3-4 and its so easy to get one burst as when you jump shot every kill
