    This is incorrect.
Hypochlorite is the instant short term option. It will give an instant look. But moss and lichan will come back much sooner.
A biocide will continue to work for several years.
And you will only need to re biocide your roof every 5 years.
After the initial first clean which is tougher as most tend not to have had a clean before, subsequent 5 yearly Biocide quotes will be cheaper and faster to do.
Using Hypo will need a more regular clean only up to 2 years.
I've been cleaning for over 25 years.

So we have both been in the exterior cleaning industry similar amount of time. Our proven process using SoftWash Systems, education, chemicals and equipment has allowed us to offer our clients a 5 year warranty. SoftWash systems have cleaned over 100,000 roofs worldwide and it works. We are all allowed to have our opinions in the exterior cleaning industry.

Hi mate...so would you suggest applying SH first then after a biocide treatment?

Hiya ive got a pressure washing business doing driveways and patios but have been asked about some roof cleans, what ratio would you use for the hypo? When I pressure wash driveways I would normally do a ratio of 4:1, with a roof would it be more or less?

How long do you leave your hypo on and what is your typical mix?
