    What is the difference between variable and constructs??? Please let me know Asap.

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here is the difference. Hope it helps
      A construct is anything that is at an abstract level, just conceptualized and added to the framework, when that construct is operationalized and properly measured l, it becomes a variable.

    Sir, if I am creating an SEM model for a university project, do I have to create a survey and actually collect data by collecting answers to it, or can I use the survey answers from different papers? Like in this video, if I collect questions from a paper, can I use their data/responses as well? Or is there a way to find them online?
    Kindly help out
    Thank you!

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can use scales from different papers and design your own questionnaire.

    Thanks for your efforts brother, May Allah reward you abundantly. I have a quick question regarding questionnaire search. I am working on a research topic on terrorism and I found a measurement scale for measuring perceived threats of terrorism. The scale in question is Terrorism Catastrophizing Scale TCS developed by Sinclair and loCicero (2007). I am planning to adopt this scale in my questionnaire but I found some researchers that used the same scale in their article which got published and later withdrawn, the reason for withdrawal as stated by the journal is “the authors used the TCS questionnaire without permission from the owner”. So I am confused, isn’t citing the original source of the scale sufficient? Why does someone have to get permission from the owner? What about situations where the owner was reached but no response from him? Please shed some light regarding this. Thanks.

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What you have referred to is the normal situation. However, The scale may require permission from the author.

    • @mni2787
      @mni2787 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@researchwithfawad Therefore if the author’s permission is not granted, one shouldn’t use the scale?

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If explicitly required to obtain permission one should, i have not come across this issue previously. as i use the scale by simply putting in a reference.

    • @mni2787
      @mni2787 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@researchwithfawad there wasn’t an explicit requirement to seek permission. The withdrawn paper was what caused my concern about using the scale.

    honestly, very helpful. However, you first talk about a number of factors. then you use "Project success"! why? I need you to use one of the mentioned factors that we are looking for questions. not easy to follow. please make another video where you use one of the variables you are looking for, "project success" is not a variable.

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I am glad you liked it.
      I took project success as an example variable.
      Project success is a variable. Since, i was interested in measuring the perception of the respondents with respect to PS. The perception may change from person to person as to how successful the project was.
