Finally I can be free from the curse of Micah's ugly holster. I feel like Rockstar could easily add the option to remove it in the wardrobe like when they added the weapon locker instead we have to do stuff like this.
Its a shame to abandon a game what they were making 8 years with adding that much details but forget about john in epilogue and such stupid details like this off hand holster, i just like how coat lays on left leg how it was in red dead 1. They had a lot of time to remake john to himself and fix dome abandoned details.
It works well. (Oct.24.2024) I’m not sure which version my game is, but since I reinstalled it a few days ago, I believe it’s probably the latest version(PS5). I followed the video as shown, and after reviewing the comments before starting, I proceeded with additional steps and adjustments to the end. 1.The video says that you can abandon the mission to shorten the time needed to perform this glitch, but many comments advised against doing that. Many people mentioned that they failed the glitch by abandoning the mission, so I did not abandon any missions. 2. According to a comment from another user, during The Wheel mission, they went to Valentine, bought a holster, THEN BOUGHT A HAT and equipped it (it automatically equipped upon purchase) before saving the outfit in the wardrobe. I followed this method. 3. According to a comment, it said not to skip the cutscene where Mr. Geddes gives permission to take out a loan. I followed that advice. In fact, from that mission onward until the glitch was completed, I didn’t skip any cutscenes for the remaining missions, just in case. 4. According to tips from some users, the Trapper outfit is not necessary right before finishing this glitch. If you want to complete the glitch quickly, you don’t need to spend time creating a Trapper outfit. You can simply use default outfits in your wardrobe, such as the Cowboy outfit or Arthur’s outfit, and make a minor change-like swapping the hat or changing an coat of clothing-then save it as a custom outfit and proceed without issues. I saved Arthur’s default Gunslinger outfit with only the hat changed to John’s worn flat cap. Personally, I wish there was a way to remove the satchel as well, but it’s disappointing that there isn’t one. I know a way to remove all holsters and the satchel through the cutscene with Abigail at Beecher’s Hope after the epilogue, but it makes John’s appearance look a bit awkward with no holster at all. So, for now, this method seems to be the best option. I’m grateful to the ‘Arthur Morgan Gaming’ who made this video and to the other users who shared various tips in the comments.😊😊😊 Oh, and don’t forget to check John’s hat for each mission to collect the worn flat cap and his two exclusive hats as well. To obtain them, slap Rachel’s hip so John falls off and takeoff his hat. When he puts the hat back on, it will be saved in your wardrobe.

FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DO THIS AS ARTHUR: I found it today strangely. You need to be in Ch6 and upon completion of the mission 'Goodbye, Dear Friend', Arthur will have no off hand holster equipped. Save this as a custom outfit and change as you wish. You can even use 2 guns and Arthur will just make the pistol vanish
FOR ANYONE WHOS GOING TO REPLAY THE GAME FOR THIS DONT Just got to gaptooth breach south west of tumbleweed kill all the del lobos then go to the end of the cave. Stand under the 2nd to last lamp and replay "goodbye, dear friend" you would automatically die and spawn as arthur. Finish chapter 6 and do the glitch as he says Hope this helps!
I tried this as mentioned in this comment. I confirmed that John respawned as Arthur, but the problem was that Arthur didn’t have any of the missable items like letters or trinkets. So, I’ve decided to start again from my saved Chapter 4 file. Anyway, thanks for the good information. It’ll surely help someone.
If you dont have trapper ouffits don't worry just equip original arthur or john outfit and just remove or add a accessory then save and equip other custom outfits on horse that way the hammer thingy will transfer to other outfits and then your done! Working on latest patch 1.31

For anyone wondering how to save the no off hand holster outfit without it disappearing: 1. Follow the steps in the video which is get on wagon, ride to emerald ranch or pig farm, go to valentine and buy a holster. 2. When you in the valentine store after buying the holster go to the catalogue and buy a hat, ( i bought the black stalker hat ) and then save the outfit in wardrobe. 3. Ride back to pronghorn and finish the missions BUT DO NOT FAIL ANY MISSIONS as the glitch will not work if you do. 4. After all the missions go to blackwater and check if your outfit is there, if it is then just make another outfit without the off hand holster and do both of the blackwater bank missions and save the hammer holster outfit in the video. And thats all! 🤠👋

I am so confused. It worked but it also didn't... I did everything up until the end of Motherbood and then it crashed... when I restarted my Xbox and loaded the Autosave from just after Motherhood, I spawned back in with some ripped up jeans, a fur tophat and a white chefs cloth tied around the waste where the offhand holster should have been... I look like a clown lol
The ride to the pig farm and back is the most agonizing thing ever, especially when you are two feet away from the ranch and all the stuff falls out the wagon.....
I found a way for arthur to only have one holdter directly after gettjbg back from gurama. First you need to ride to Shady Belle and ride up to the water feature but dont get off, then turn around and go to the rhodes general store and save the outfit with the sun hat you hopefully picked up in guarma. Then you have the outfit with one holster. Go do whatever else that needs doing until you can freely roam, and then youll hopefully be put back into the outfit you were wearing wothout the offhand holster, if not, go equip the guarma outfit and change it how you want. As far as I know I came up with this myself because I havent seen any videos or bothered to look any up. Im pretty sure you can change the belt and regular holster on the outfit, but im not sure if changing the belt will by default add the offhand holster. Its been a while.

It works as of 4/3/24 the difference i did was I didn't abandon mission because for some reason reason it didn't work for me on my first try but my second try all i did was doing all the mission and only skipping cutscenes and also just incase don't forget your stolen hats in the epilogue from john Marston the john gambler hat and worn flat cap so yeah. 👍🏻

This has most likely been patched, if you equipped the saved custom outfit, it’ll just be automatically added to horse😢. Never mind it works 😂. I recommend you make multiple copies of custom outfits when saving the belt during the wheel mission.
For those doing this glitch, don’t forget to let a horse knock off John’s flat cap and his grey gambler hat during the missions, they are missable hats and are unique
Have another way of doing "the wheel" part, complete The Best Of Men And Women and have theodores levin letter ready to take at any post office, that should give u 350 dollars, and another thing is to cross bard crossing through the railroad that crosses bards crossing, good way to get to the other side, hope this helps u!!!🎉🎉
the reason why I dont like off hand holster is because I like a matching gun to go with. special guns like micahs and johns revolvers dont have 2 guns so I dont have the choice which gets annoying after awhile just seeing my other revolver sitting there.

I did all of this on Xbox but when I went to the wardrobe in blackwater for the first time the only outfits I had were the same copies of one outfit with the offhand holster on all of them
@@christopherbui172 sadly no, in order to remove the off hand holster I just do the union suit method. It works after beating the main epilogue, you have to wait until night when Abigail is in bed, ride away from beechers hope and return, if Abigail is still in bed, go to sleep, if a cutscene plays you know you're on track, in the middle of the cutscene, save the game and load the save. You should spawn in only John's pajamas and you can customize from there
Ok I bought a gun in Epilouge part 1 outfit didn’t corrupt but one thing, the outfit magically had a off-hand holster for no reason. So I am just giving in to the ugly holster
After completing American Venom, go to the ranch at night (Usually after 12) and sleep in the bed, but make sure Abigail is in it. A cutscene will play, save your game during it and then load that save, you will spawn in John’s union suit with no gunbelt or satchel. DO NOT view any outfits the game saved for you (Ex; The Gunslinger) this will make the satchel and gunbelt reappear and you will need to do the glitch again. The glitch is only available a few times as the cutscene will stop playing eventually.
Hey AMG please make a video about special outfits for John! As Arthur I got Whittemore, Tuxedo, Guarma outfit and Police uniform. Do such outfits exist for John? Maybe such as Johns Union suite that are obtainable with glitches

Yeah, it works like a charm. Just make sure you DONT fail any single mission OR reload a save. If you do that then the glitch will mess up. Besides that, it should work fine. I did this glitch yesterday.

instead of that mission, go to the one where u save jack from bronte and do the cheat glitch, makes you a milliionaire and own all outfits like i did

You can do it as aurther aswell by useing the hanging colm mission
So I’m in epilogue part one trying to do this but I don’t have a trapper set can I still get one before I do the glitch or is it too late
I always get a glitch after guarma where it make the off hand holster dissipere

It’s not working for me and idk why, I have a save file for before the last mission in chapter 6. But i think I do exactly what he says but it doesn’t work for me, I get through the pronghorn ranch missions and I go to the wardrobe and the outfit isn’t there is there something I’m missing??
You have to do all pranghorn mission without saving or loading a save
You got to remove the gun on the offhand holster before goin to the tailor, also i didnt skip any mission, just to be dure 😊

I did all of this on Xbox but when I went to the wardrobe in blackwater for the first time the only outfits I had were the same copies of one outfit with the offhand holster on all of them

@@christopherbui172 sadly no, in order to remove the off hand holster I just do the union suit method. It works after beating the main epilogue, you have to wait until night when Abigail is in bed, ride away from beechers hope and return, if Abigail is still in bed, go to sleep, if a cutscene plays you know you're on track, in the middle of the cutscene, save the game and load the save. You should spawn in only John's pajamas and you can customize from there

Hey AMG. Is there any other way to remove the Satchel from John in the epilogue without using save editor or mods?
After completing American Venom, go to the ranch at night (Usually after 12) and sleep in the bed, but make sure Abigail is in it. A cutscene will play, save your game during it and then load that save, you will spawn in John’s union suit with no gunbelt or satchel. DO NOT view any outfits the game saved for you (Ex; The Gunslinger) this will make the satchel and gunbelt reappear and you will need to do the glitch again. The glitch is only available a few times as the cutscene will stop playing eventually.

@@vii0077 i know that John cant wear Police Tuxedo Whittemore and Guarma outfit, but John has atleast 2 special outfits - the one with the belt from the mission 'the wheel' and his unionsuit that can be obtained by sleeping-events at beechers hope with abigail (no xxx events lol)

Yeah, it works like a charm. Just make sure you DONT fail any single mission OR reload a save. If you do that then the glitch will mess up. Besides that, it should work fine. I did this glitch yesterday.

It doesn't work replaying the mission, you can only restart the epilogue.
