Another amazing episode!! Dane Cook is great and I wish him all the very best. I am sorry you had to go through difficult and painful times with your brother, but I am sure that made you stronger! I wish you nothing but love and blessings. Dana and David, as usual, thank you for bringing joy to us. XOXOXO
Americans are such snowflakes, difficult times get the fo. Open your eyes to anywhere in the world or off of the internet fake show people put on, there's real sorrow and real problems
Couldn't have said it better myself! Great episode, great questions, great answers! Dane is so good. Great rags to riches, to kinda rags I guess, back to riches hopefully for Dane. I wish him the best. Such a funny guy!
Yes, me too! One of my favorite bits of his was about having a pet monkey? OMG, that was hiliarious! "Monkey, you here"? "I'm in your closet." "You can talk?!" "I taught myself to talk. And now I'm going to kill you." Haaa! Or something like that.
His comedy specials were SO well done, thats where I discovered him :) HE had a way with his audience that everyone related to what he was saying, he engaged and enjoyed himself it looked like, then he disappeared which I thought was very sad, his star was rising then poof. SO Im looking forward to hearing this podcast :) Cheers all
Listening to Dane Cook CDs travelling down the road with my van full of friends going on a girls' trip back in the day was the best! Then all weekend we would recite the jokes again! Love Dane and you guys!
Dane is so good at telling stories. Just hearing his voice reminds me of those bits he did in those early CDs like ordering at Burger King or standing in line at Walgreens
Dang! Dane Cook - I had no idea how phenomenal he is - why don’t we hear more about all he’s done to build his own brand. He definitely knows how to market himself. MySpace?! 7million holy cow. I can’t wait to watch his documentary Best episode so far. (David your sideline commentaries are never missed by me 😂)
@@VENZUL0 As someone who's still a fan of his older stand up, I can definitely see why people didn't like him much. I do like it, of course, but his general... feel on stage could be a bit off-putting. Like, instead of actually being edgy and whatever, he felt like this guy who was trying to be that but is too awkward to really do it.
I appreciate the anecdote about David getting feedback from people who aren't yes men ,his one friend. All the words I write to you people, hi Heather, is to help the world primarily, help myself next and help you all because I care. These comments that say no greatest show ever and best show it's not helping anybody. I try to be constructive but when I hear things that just are messed up then I'm going to go so righteous person trying to help the world. Take care
Mr. Brooks is one of my favorite Costner movies, he is so good in that character. He scared the $*** out of me because he was such a stand up kind of a guy, loved by everyone. He was the guy next door who you would give your house key and ask him to feed your dog while you were on vacation. He was so far removed from his secret self and from anyone who would spark my radar or gut feeling to beware. Dane's character was great but not sharp enough to outsmart Brooks but so sinister that he had me really rooting for Brooks.
It's important to not use the phrase we, your commenting online there is no we it's you obviously. Stop trying to speak for anybody other than you. Unless you say it in a funny way like, shut up, thank you, the world. Dane Cook's problem wasn't comedy his problem was that his film career tanked and that's nothing to do with the internet. But for people to feel sorry for him in these comments or look at as anything negative is idiotic because the guy made a lot of money and he's a good comedian. I thought his acting was fine but that's not how Hollywood works, because I'm not we I'm just me
It’s painful to listen to Dana interview. Maybe prepare some questions? I still love the show and think Dana is super sweet. David is my favorite little rascal.
Thanks for clarifying at the beginning that Dana and Dane are two different words. Imo you could just let people judge if it's a good podcast or not instead of saying it is for episode, if you try to sell it at the beginning a little hard then it seems like you're covering up something perhaps. Food for thought. No Dana but that is very funny, if Dane Cook stream themselves being a wuss outside the rockefell center or whatever, it would not go global. All right I'll just shuttie the rest of the show I believe. Dua seems to found a really good guy, this contract, but don't worry I won't take it out on the world, well maybe a little bit
Dane needs to hear this, because he is being unfairly judged in today's landscape of comedy. The guy is a far better performer and entertainer than anybody in the rogana sphere. Kill Tony is a good roast comic but the rest of those people are locking talent severely
Dana and David are skipping over the point that he lost all of his money due to his brother embezzling everything - that’s a big deal - what a good guy - good luck to him… he lost all his money and sent his brother to prison :(
Okay maybe not rock them but how about for David's special Dirty Pool. It'd be a good album cover for a band, you could have just the picture of a pool that's dirty. It's kind of ambiguous. So just use ambiguous I won't take a personally, just because that singer only sings that way ... To me....
You should never put people on the spot and ask him who's their favorite actress etc. That was a funny joke though about who's hotter Jessica Alba or Kate Hudson. Any female questions just leave the spade
yeah. notice how absolutely no one looks better after plastic surgery? News flash to celebrities: nobody really looks at your face. Most people don't want to scrutinize anyone else's face at all. They just grab a snapshot and then get lost in their own mental vortex.
Dane had a spackle job that's off-putting but he's no stiff. Engaging interview. BTW do you always have to talk about "the biz"? Do you think us losers really want to hear how you overcame adversity? I hate hearing others having success. I hate it when people win the lottery. Just shmooze about nothing why don't you. That Burger King line could have been interesting. I don't know. Ask him why he's such a hoe-moe. The complaining and horror stories were good. The Jerry Lewis stuff was a bummer lol. Cool story bro. Still good fly.
Maybe a podcast hosted by two celebrities, with celebrity guests, isn't for you. And you might want to find a therapist to get to the bottom of why you can't be happy for others when good things happen for them.
@@ObiWanShinobi999 I don't need a therapist for that. When I was in seventh grade a ninth grader gave me a vicious punch to the side of the head inflicting a contra coup injury to both temporal lobes making me the pleasant man I am today. He gets away with it scot-free of course. No cops, teachers, parents or caregivers on this side of the tracks. I'm sure you have no conception of injustice in your rarified air. Those with good luck should subsidize those with bad luck or at least get a taste of it.
This guy sold CDs like he was Taylor swift back in the early 2000s, we’d drive around listening to comedy albums with our friends, before smart phones
Exactly! “Word of Mouf” and “Retaliation” were on repeat!
Like Andrew Dice Clay the day the laughter died on cassette annoyingly popular or just regular popular
Well yeah, people don't buy CDs.
He thought he was the Burger King
He made me laugh. That's all I remember. That 15c a day donation to feed a poor child bit had me in stitches 😂

He was very humble and appreciative to Dana and David in this interview. Looking forward to the next chapter from Dane.

Bill Burr with the butter roll on his head 😂
Loved Dane's early standup. 😊
Dane cook is the shiz nit! i love him …one of the first standup I ever discovered. Bensons!!!
Was fortunate enough to have met Dane in Las Vegas during Comic Relief. Great talent.
Dervish whirling !!!😂😂😂

Sundays with Jerry could be the next Tuesdays with Maury, you could def write a book Cook!
Great, informative episode, good job!
I remember seeing his comedy central special back in the day. He's a modern legend
one of the best episodes from FLY
I love Dane Cook. My favorite movies Waiting; Employee of the Month. Great actor
Good luck chuck was good too.

Dana & David we need you more now than ever!!! i’ve been following you since your first podcast - love you handsome boyzzzz 💋♥️💋♥️💋♥️💋
Great episode Dane Cook was ahead of his time - inspiring - he grew up with so little and is a fighter 🚀🔥🔥🔥💥
This episode is your best!! Laughed so hard the whole time.Dane Cook is so funny 😂
Dane Cook is a genuinely good guy.
Lol. I’m binge watching…Last night I stumbled on Dicky Roberts today Lost and Found…
I MISS GOOD CLEAN FUN!
Make Humor Funny Again
❤U two
Dane Cook was the Nickelback of the comedy world. Everyone said they hated him but secretly loved him.
Great comparison. Personally I never understood the backlash (other than jealousy), Dane was fkn hysterical.

Great guest. About time he returns to the stage. Visit the East Coast, Dane.
Awesome guest! Still have his early CDs- hilarious and his energy was next level.

Dana started to ask, “Did it go to your head?”
I saw the news about Spud’s movie with Theo 😀
Love u guys since snl baby

Dane was excellent in Mr, Brooks
Hmm I need to see it now.
He was hugely popular for a while like Dice! Then the bottom fell out! Just as fast. Was in movies then gets dropped. What happened?
The guy who went after AVGN and got shouted down.
Great show 🌈
Dane train! Still the GOAT imho
Good show
Would have loved to see the video on this one 😢
Same
Dane is always funny. Stand up or not.
So fun
I saw the thumbnail and my first thought was "why does Nick Swardson look so weird in that?"
Can’t they just admit he was funny instead of giving the credit to the internet?

He does sound smart
he is in a pretty good movie with kate hudson
The Dane Train
Alaways liked his specials. Also I saw Employee of the Month again recently. His dualing performance vs Dax Shepard was classic. Still a fun movie
Is that pic from 35yrs ago?
He was great in Dan in Real Life.

Love you guys, checking in from tennessee. Listening and thumbs uppin but too busy to interact lately. Looking forward to a great episode.
Dane stole so many jokes he might have been the first comedy ai bot😂
Best guest ever!!!! Dane is so entertaining ❤❤❤❤😊
Marsha Marsha Marsha
Mr Brooks is a great movie and apparently no longer available to steam or buy
That was a great episode. I swear people just hate on him to be part of a cult.
Could it be bcz ppl thought he stole material?

He looks ridiculous with the plastic surgery.

With all due respect, Jim Rome is where "Rack em" came from. Frank Calliendo used it as Rome on Bob and Tom decades ago
Still no video. Lame.
