Wow - that brings back memories from the 1960s. The second combine we had was a self-propelled Massey Fergusson (or Harris?) 780 and I spent my time trying to stay at the same speed as the combine when we unloaded the grain on the go. Also remember standing up driving the tractor to see how full the trailer was. The first combine was tractor-pulled and had a bagging device rather than a grain hopper - I guess it was a Massey Harris. I well remember driving a 2-seater David Brown crop-master whilst my uncle struggled to lift the bags of grain onto the trailer. Happy days!
Thank you for posting. always great to see a new video from yourself, It is also good to see the Drivers cutting the crop using full width of the Bed, it is not unusual to see drivers cutting 15/30 cm less than a full cut, and that adds up at the end of the day.
Awesome video - theres something about the old machines working, they've got character or a personality about them that modern machines simply don't have.....
Excellent video 👌 was just like it was done back in the day 💪👍 seeing the Major on carting duties reminded me of my first harvest 👍 a few years ago i had a major that had had a 365 industrial engine put in it and farmer where i had a shed asked if i would bring a tandem axle grain trailer up from the field they had just finished so i was coming up the hill with the major and the farms 6600 John Deere had a similar trailer and the old major made a fool of the Deere 🙄🤣💪
That lovely looking Gleaner A humpback in the photos now belongs to Trevor Kerfoot. Its a very tidy one. I remember seeing the photos of that little get together
