Of all the female singers/performers, Linda by far, has always been my own personal favorite. I got to see her 26 times from 1973-2009 & actually met her 4 times. The most professional soulful grasping at your heartstrings ever to behold,
My god what a women! Miss Ronstadt in my opinion was thee absolute total package. Voice, looks charisma, Linda will always be my favorite artist of all time.
Don Henley and Glen Frey repeatedly praised Linda for her version of this song. Frey has said "Linda made Desperado our (Eagles) signature song" and Henley says "Linda made Desperado a classic."
Thanks for posting. The Nelson Riddle encore version doesn’t pop up often. This is my favorite arrangement of this for her. Probably at her peak vocally, backed by that big orchestra, and cutting loose in the end keeping to her roots. Good stuff.
Thank you just doesn't begin to express how grateful I am for your posting this. Her voice and the supreme care she devotes to every note just thrills me. She just celebrated her 77th birthday on July 15th. How I pray she knows the depth of our appreciation for the beauty and breadth of her musical career. This performance with the Nelson Riddle orchestra was perfection.
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses? You've been out ridin' fences for so long now Oh, you're a hard one I know that you got your reasons These things that are pleasin' you Can hurt you somehow Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy She'll beat you if she's able You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet Now it seems to me, some fine things Have been laid upon your table But you only want the ones that you can't get Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home And freedom, oh freedom well, that's just some people talkin' Your prison is walking through this world all alone Don't your feet get cold in the winter time? The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine It's hard to tell the night time from the day You're losin' all your highs and lows Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away? Desperado, why don't you come to your senses? Come down from your fences, open the gate It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you You better let somebody love you (Let somebody love you) You better let somebody love you before it's too late

Good Lord, Linda’s sweet smile towards the orchestra just before the Epic finish is the stuff of legends.
Her Big finish is other worldly, I can just listen from 2:54 to 3:10 over and over again!!
Linda is one of the Greatest singers of all time.

She always looks like she's having a good time while performing, and acknowledges the backup singers and band.
Linda made this a huge hit for the Eagles. She could sing jingles and they’d sound like this!
Don Henley and Glen Frey repeatedly praised Linda for her version of this song. Frey has said "Linda made Desperado our (Eagles) signature song" and Henley says "Linda made Desperado a classic."
Love this woman gave her soul to sing e everything. Thank goodness for us she did. 😍😍😍
Amazing voice! What a talent!

That smile she gives @ 3:00 knowing she's about to effortlessly belt out that high note. Incredible!
no it's just appreciating backup s

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
You've been out ridin' fences for so long now
Oh, you're a hard one
I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasin' you
Can hurt you somehow
Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if she's able
You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet
Now it seems to me, some fine things
Have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you can't get
Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger
Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home
And freedom, oh freedom well, that's just some people talkin'
Your prison is walking through this world all alone
Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
It's hard to tell the night time from the day
You're losin' all your highs and lows
Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away?
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you
(Let somebody love you)
You better let somebody love you before it's too late
I had never seen this video.
Sung softer here. 😊
