Considering this is a fighting game first, the fact that we're getting a fully voiced, fully animated story is already generous enough. And honestly, compared to other anime fighters recently, this is waaaaay more than those other games got. A FULLY voiced AND animated story all the way to the defeat of Aizen? I'm happy with this. It doesn't look awful either. I will be playing the story and I'm excited for the story only bosses
@@zeroskaterz92 that's what I'm wondering. A summarized version of the story, cutting out small details that don't matter to focus on other important details. I'm definitely happy with our Bleach game. There's no reason to waste resources and money creating character models that we'll see once in the story mode and then never again.
bro, we never here for a 1:1 adaptation from the manga or the anime, we never asked for a "dragon ball z kakarot" but in bleach, we just wanted cool fighting game with a story mode that expands the story with the secret episodes, nothing more
I don't know why people expecting a 1:1 adaptation like do people really want 15 minutes of cutscenes then 5 minutes of gameplay just so it can 1:1 to episode 1?
I do understand that stuff won't be one to one with the manga but after listening to makai again it's pretty important to establish the main characters family which is essentially his goal to protect his loved one's to have newer people invested into the story. It's like having a spiderman game and not showing aunt may in the story. but the shadows seem a bit nitpicky to me like dead ass who's going to look at the shadows the whole damn time when you have the colorful characters right there.
Why does everyone have such low standards. It's good for being a Bleach game in 2025? Honestly I expected this quality, my ultimate edition is secure and I am still looking forward to this game. But I'll quote Aizen and say "That is a loser's reasoning! A winner has to speak not of the world as it is,but of the world as it should be!". Look up Bleach Soul Resonance, specifically Ichigo vs Ulquiorra (the older version should be leaked here) or Ichigo vs Kenpachi if it has been leaked on YT. That shit looks clean and it's for a freaking mobile game.
Bro you gotta realize the amount of work they have to put in to do all that small unnecessary details in a VIDEO GAME. If you want all those details, go watch the anime or read the manga.
We gotta remember now. This is a fighting game similar to sparking zero, not an rpg like dragon ball z kakarot, while that isn't necessarily an excuse for lack of adaptation of the story elements, it does make sense. Now if we ever do get a game like kakaro, and it's missing content from the story, then I'd be worried
@@A1phaz0nekakarot cut multiple major moments, and most of the game didn't even have actual cutscenes. It was just characters standing completely still and talking, and they had their facial expressions swapped like Lego characters . There were cool moments, but let's not act like it didn't have massive problems. Off the top of my head, I remember vegeta's final flash not even being shown at all
Guys, this is not a matter of fixing, the game comes out in 2 months, it will not be adjusted, this is a matter of budget, tamsoft is not a company the size of CyberConnect 2
@@neitavares6943 Your delusional if you think that it’s not looking good, only the pixel shadows was the problem and it’s not that hard to fix that. And that’s not the final build…
@neitavares6943 you just prattling. Bugs such as glitches do tend to get addressed fast. You font know the budget of game and bandai being the publisher of many naruto games would imply anime games get similar budgets
@makaisaiyan you can't assume the budget everything is determines by a bunch of different factors, not saying the budget is small, but you can't say the budget is as big as the storm series as an example. Storm is a proven game series usually they can leverage that for more mo y this developer isn't as well known so I could buy that they were given a smaller budget to work with.
sorry for you but it's the final version of the story mode I don't think they will have time to change all that, I'm not trying to give them an excuse but it's better than the sparkin zero slideshow
@@makaisaiyan They say three me of the release this story mode will not move they never do that they can rigorously improve certain things (graphics, shadow etc) but there will be no big change on the structure of the story mode, maybe afterwards they can patch the story mode after the release but I doubt it, anyway you will see when the game is released, it's always the same scenario with bandai
Its not that the story is bad, your expectations were just too high. For a game that more than likely had a smaller budget than Sparking Zero, it shits all over Sparkings story mode lol. For a fighting game (which is the reason why this game was even made) it goes over the story well enough with voice acting and models. We dont need a 100% perfect retelling, thats what the manga/anime is for. If the story mode was pictures with generic dialogue that made no attempt of adapting the actual story, then you’d have a great reason to whine and complain. Your biggest mistake is thinking all the fans buying the game want a fully fleshed out story. No we want to whoop someone elses ass with our favorite characters, but i get it you are more of the 1player game mindset.
". Your biggest mistake is thinking all the fans buying the game want a fully fleshed out story." And your biggest mistake is thinking all the fans don't care about the story mode being disappointing. Not every fan is some dude who only cares about multiplayer. This has been proven time and time again with literally every other anime fighter. Fighting games in general, even. If anything, most fans just care about having a good experience with their preferred IP. Which is funny that people bring up Kakarot. Because Kakarot is one of the absolute best DBZ experiences you can have with a DBZ game. Honestly, I'd argue its THE best even. The story mode is phenomenal. I've easy sunk in far more hours in Kakarot than I have in Sparking Zero. Sparking Zero was a gigantic fucking disappointment, coming Kakarot. While SZ is more complex, it sacrificed its story mode's quality entirely in exchange. The fucking main menu background animations got more attention than the shit they did for story mode.
Yeah, the cutscenes needs to be improved with things like the shadows, but the fact that we're getting fully animated cutscenes instead of just a slideshow is very cool and generous for an anime fighter. Also, the fact that they are fully voice acted too is huge. It does suck that they don't have models for non playable characters but it's OK. I like how they incorporated the ghost girl versus not including her at all. I'm guessing it'll be a model used throughout the game. It seems like an excuse to say all of this but considering that SZ didn't have many animated cutscenes this is super dope. I'm hoping this trend continues and they retire slideshows (unless the game or story calls for it). There's also the possibility that there are only a few fully animated cutscenes and the rest are slideshows (like other anime games) but hopefully that's not the case.
@@makaisaiyanWhy sweat the small stuff, is probably what the devs thought but seriously do we need to put so much attention on something that even In the anime isn't that important.
Yeah but if it can't compare to cc2 10 years ago when they were making cutscenes for storm 2 and 3 then I'll feel free to skip the cutscenes until it shows the parts of the manga I would want to see and I didn't even mention storm revolution or 4 But tbh these cutscenes don't even compare you to the OG Persona 5(maybe im bashing it too much I mean the soul society scenes got me hype same goes for ulquiorras 2nd ressureccion cutscene it gave me nyx from persona 3 reload vibes)
I think this is overdoing it. We are getting full in-engine cutscenes that aren't the highest quality, but they do look up to par. Compare them to for example CC2s standard storm cutscenes and you'll see that those don't look much better. Or course you get way more spectacle in their "high budget" cutscenes and we'll see if this game has any of those, but even if it doesn't these cutscenes are still way better than what sparking zero got or a lot of other anime games these days and that is simple slideshows. It's clear that the devs didn't get the most amount of time or money for this project but they so far still pulled through. They are giving us a big starting roster considering every character has its own gimmick, with really good in-engine graphics to boot, a completely new approach to arena fighters battle system and on top we are getting a in engine story mode, even though the story mode is rarely the focus of these games. You can tell they definitely put the most effort in the games character models, mechanics and general gameplay, instead of story mode, but it still gets a pass from me, because again even a budget story mode like this is better than what we get from pretty much all anime game developers outside of cc2.
I think the cutscenes even being fully voice is kinda expensive in a way since they are covering like the beginning up to the defeat of Aizen, which in the manga is basically almost like 2/3 of the entire manga. Arrancar arc alone is longer than both Fullbring arc and TYBW arc combined.
Sounds like a better game what one that will die within a month like every other anime fighting game before it. Activity on Sparking Zero has dropped significantly.
So you want them to fully adapt the like 160 canon episodes fully animated and with all the content besides the fighting game ??? I agree with you on improving the shadows and other stuff tho it would be impossible for them to adapt everything.
Like, i said before, Tamsoft will not be able to please everyone! It was never said to be a 1 for 1 remake of the anime, so isshin, karin, and yuzu weren't shown. Shadows and cleaner animations can be fixed. If you really feel that bad about this story mode, let the devs know, or hopefully, they saw and take it from there. I like where the developers are taking the story.
We already knew the story would be fully voice recorded and animated from scratch (which is a LOT of work), yet you still expected it to be completely like the 100+ episodes of the anime? You really should've controlled your expectations. The only valid concern is the shadow quality and some polish, and the gameplay already has way better shadows so obviously they can fix it. Literally nitpicking about the "missing" things, expecting a fully faithful 1-1 remake of the anime was a ridiculous expectation. Never thought I'd feel this way about one of your vids. This game is going above and beyond in the story presentation (fully animated and voice acted) compared to most other anime games.
Actually calm down, it’s just a story mode cutscene it looks fine gng, they got new music and everything over it, if you really dislike it just skip to do missions or something nobody is playing this game standalone without watching the anime 😭😭
Yeah it seemed pretty obvious it wasn't gonna be a 1 to 1 with the manga because they said it themselves it's a fighting game but it would be nice to at least see somethings going on.
Fr like bro’s nitpicking like crazy. Obviously they’re not gonna show every single detail because this is a fighting game, not a story game like Kakarot(which still skipped a lot). At least we get actual cutscenes rather than slideshows
@ You sound exactly the same as Sparking Zero defenders sounded before SZ released. Now everyone agrees the story mode in SZ is absolutely fucking garbage. History about to repeat itself with this game.
To be fair the game DOESN'T have to be 1:1 to the manga i get they'd want to skip some scenes considering they are animating the story all the way up to aizens defeat all in 3D format, so this not being fully 1:1 shouldn't really be sn issue but i do see where people coming from in terms of the quality and shadows and allat stuff
Man, I get what youre saying but listen. This is Tamsoft, not CC2, we wont get cc quality. Second, this aint AAA RPG game, this is fighting game after all no matter what you say. Also judging that Morita-san was playing in his home and ( probably ) on his own pc theres a possibility that he could change ( or not change ) basic graphic settings. I'd say if you are concerned about the quality of story presentation just wait for the reviews, dont pre-order.
I don’t know what you were expecting. They’re not gonna add every single detail and character from the anime. I’m just grateful that we actually have fully animated cutscenes rather than the slideshow bs they’ve been doing the pay few years. This isn’t bad
I had a similar initial reaction, but given how long the story will need to be, I imagine it would be an absolute nightmare to add all these assets you will only see a couple of times. There will need to be hundreds of one-off characters and locations designed which will get about 10 seconds of view time each, probably not very financially viable to do so
@@2Tune2 the "stylized anime look" don't necessarily need ps5 full fidelity to look good. Games that orients more to realistic textures and big scale maps and assets are the one that needs that ps5 graphic fidelity boost. You don't really need much of that for a game like this. Like this game will not be even relatively as demanding on your console even compared to the PS4 version of Ffvii remake even if they made the Bleach game for ps5 since it will still be on the same graphic style and production value .
@@DoodWhoDrawsThat’s what I’m saying. Bro’s disappointed that the thugs and little girls aren’t there when that such a small detail in the grand scheme of things, they didn’t even need to add that entire scene at all and just started with the Rukia stuff. If it was not showing his sister and Isshin then I would understand but bro’s just complaining
I'm sorry. Must thumbs down. This looks great for a fighting game that's covering 400+ chapters. Naruto storm 2-4 covered the same amount of chapters from years 2010-2016. They milked 5 games out of it (Storm 2, generations, storm 3, revolution, storm 4). That's like 5x the price of this game.
It's not a matter of budget or anything like that. I mean it kinda is but not in a realistic sense. Ever since we saw that some minor not that important cutscenes were getting done we could tell there were going to be a lot of scenes in this game. They have like 419 chapters to get through. And with that much material to cover theres no way they could be good looking. Only a AAA studio with a decent production cycle could accomplish that and make it look good. Even if this was CC2 doing this it wouldn't be possible to make it happen. It would skip most scenes, what we get would be text boxes and characters standing still. Then for the major fights we would get some absolutely awesome cutscenes. But there would only be like 10 of them maximum. Even kakarot before dlc has what 1 hour of cinematic cutscenes? This video alone showed 15 minutes at least and we got up to the first chapter. So this game will literally have at least 5 hours of real scenes no visual novel. That's why it looks so bad. I hope they haven't been misguided in where they directed their budget. Cause the entire story is getting done in 2 languages. Thats gotta be expensive. I'm glad the dub actors get paid but that money and time could very well have gone somewhere more useful.
Awful video, the game is actually blowing people away in terms of the fighting gameplay, people nowadays couldn't care less if the story mode is going to be a 10/10 all they care about is top notch fighting mode which this game is poised to achieve ! Poor assessment from this channel !
@@makaisaiyanIt's a fighting game story, I don't know why your expectations were high, also from a small studio. If you're going to a fighting game for an anime to digest Bleach...what are you doing 😭
I agree with u completely u are very mich correct but me personally i can care less even if the story mode was shitty as long as Online is guud and gameplay is actually fun. Thats what i buy anime games for. I only play story mode to experience it once and unlock everything that needs to be. I dont think about Story again once ive beaten it.
Doesn't have to fill the entire manga. It has to throw enough information. So it can go to gameplay. Devs know people want to play. With enough information about the story.
L take makai. Anime games nowadays are dogwater and this is the best thing ive seen in years not counting demon slayer, i really dont care about photorealistic graphics i care about good gameplay u know , playing the game of which i pay a hefty premium for? and that exactly where the devs put the focus
@makaisaiyan u called the devs lazy because the graphics look not up to par with your standards, how is me stating what i prefer bad faith? I could care less that the ghost girl in the game is a luigi mansion type ghost and doesnt look like what she does in the anime , thats some corner cutting to save budget that is completely acceptable.
And to add when i said they making things seem lazy but not lazy isnt statung devs are lazy. Its me questioning if the devs were being lazy with presentation
So if graphics are a problem for you. Just stop playing games in general. If you want a 1 to 1 recreation for a franchise that's biggest game is a gatcha you haven't thought about this much. We're all expecting a budget game. There's literally no issues with the 'issues' you present. Shadows are fucking irrelevant, lip syncing who gives an actual shit. Everyone's gonna hate this nitpicky gay video dude
Despite certain things they did wrong plus unnecessary measures they had to do to great details they didn't had to take off, it's still a DEMO, so they still have time to make the game better cause I'm having hopes for this even though I'm in negative pill mode
i have a problem with cutscenes also but let's be honest Cc2 isn't great aside from CGI cutscenes, storm connection still looks exactly like storm 4 are we seriously going to compare connection graphics to ros. let's be fucking serious
Remember this when the player count plummets after a week or month. Having a good story mode actually matters. Sparking Zero got all this insane fucking hype before its release only for the game to fall off the radar almost entirely once it dropped and people learned how absolute trash the story mode was. At this point, I wish anime games just copied what Kakarot did. I had way more fun in Kakarot than I ever did with any other anime game.
i believe they have a cool story mode ( unique ) maybe with less interes on details , but the pvp gameplay is just simply amazing ( meaning they focus more on pvp ) , all good guys remebere this is the first REAL REAL BLEACH game !! there is always room for improvment
Damn these comments got you defensive as a mufucka you making hella typos and stuff i enjoy your channel for what it is i honestly found you because of this game but man lol you gotta let people feel how they feel on they claims and honestly a lot of them are correct but the way you reply isnt a good look for your channel my boi these comments are fan critique of the game not full heartedly directed at your statements you gotta let sum stuff slide
I get what he’s saying . If you’re gonna put the story in you mind as well try harder. The gameplay looks absolutely insane in comparison so I also see the argument that the fighting comes first but that’s also the issue. I’d rather the story mode reflect the look of battles instead of extreme budget. Doesn’t mean the games gonna be bad it’s just jarring. Like how Storm Connections has some of the best looking Ults in anime games but that’s also story mode is crap in comparison to bring down the overall experience. He doesn’t want another Sparking Zero.
I agree with you. And after having sunk so many hours into Kakarot, I honestly wish more anime games just copied what Kakarot did. Multiplayer is nice, but it just never works out. The grand majority of fighting games (ESPECIALLY ANIME FIGHTING GAMES) just lose a majority of its playerbase in a month or two. Then you're stuck with a barely alive multiplayer mode while also having garbage single player content. Kakarot doesn't have multiplayer, but I got more hours and enjoyment out of that game than I did for Jump Force. Or Sparking Zero. Or basically any other anime fighter. As much people diss the storm games, at least it had the decency to have enjoyable single player content alongside its multiplayer.
Im happy with what im seeing i agree shadows are rough but every cutscene ive seen for this game has been fully voice acted and animated unlike most other anime arena fighter story modes if the whole game is like this i believe that is far more effort put in compared to others in the same genre and thats with an assumed lower budget than games like sparking zero im fine with omitting characters in certain scenes as long as the story can be told well without them being there i think some fluff has to be removed in general just so the game can get to actual gameplay and we arent just sitting there watching long stretches of cutscenes witnout any gameplay we lose out on knowing ichigo has a family he really cares about but they could easily intoduce them later and still convey that same message im honestly surprised how much they animated i was thinking it was gonna be far less but hey maybe im just used to anime games burning me like that lol
If you think about it apart from the fact that they are unfinished scenes...and Some things are natural that they are not 1:1 with the manga or anime. (Of course as a thing) We have : animated and dubbed scenes. If some scenes are rough it is normal that sometimes there is. But it is an incomplete scene damn.... it is entirely animated....And definitely. The scene where he transforms into Shinigami Ichigo is already completely epic. If they can create scenes like that for quality they have won (some things need fixing and others not) So remembering that...and looking at the scenes...let's think again that they will all be fixed for lighting (which obviously doesn't leave cube shadows in the game.) but we alredy have Clean quality (note the finished scenes)
For Sparking zero it is true. But the lack of content...and many other features are a sin...here it is not the same company as Sparking (comparison they make because there is bandai Nonsense)But I'm noticing that they're dedicating themselves to doing the things that Sparking zero noticed...Tomsoft seems really smart. They're giving the whole game a stunning aesthetic (a very cool style indeed...With Spectacular visual. Menu done well. Content that seems richer... we must note how in the small they are committed to a satisfying product to be like A GAME and not a content only for the anime fans
And last thing... it's normal that there are some ugly scenes and some good ones. It's already a lot that they are all animated with dubbing and not like Sparking zero. If some are Weird...(Like Rukia meeting Ichigo at the beginning) I think it's totally normal considering the whole game is like this. It will have high and low scenes..and for a game like this it's great. (and as we were shown in many other scenes that seemed more Ultimate than some scenes of this chapter..it makes sense to me too. But to evaluate: the shadows...or some expression Or maybe they just stand still and do some talking and moving like SOME normal fighting games do is a good choice for the Budget....some scenes will always be strange...and there will be those high ones
@ even with that one issue you act like that can’t just be a graphical issue with the hardware or a glitch. This looks really good considering it definitely doesn’t have the same budget and resources as other games
While most anime games have this thing where the characters move and react weirdly in story mode, I think it's about time for effort to actually be put into story mode cutscenes in anime games. I don't mean cinematic cutscenes like the ones in fames like xenoverse 2, I'm talking about the regular cutscenes we see here for instance or the regular xenoverse 2 cutscenes. This needs a lot of work. I just hope this is still an early build, else It'll ruin the story mode experience for people getting into bleach for the first time. Another nitpick is: fishbone d was actually attacking ichigo's family and that's what drives ichigo to rush out to protect them. Here, he doesn't even have a reason to go after fishbone d. Why rush out of his home to go out onto the highway to face fishbone for no reason?
I'll be real. i do not care about story mode in fighting games and especially anime fighting games 😂. All i care about is the combat system and how the game plays. Was never expecting them to go all out in the story mode department.
"Are the devs too lazy to make a model for Yuzu or Karin" Making 3d models is super expensive and time consuming. So them not making a detailed model for the ghost girl, Ichigo's sisters or other non-combat characters that would return in important story cutscenes is super understandable IMO. At the end of the day it is a fighting game first
I think the main reason why the story mode is "thrifty" when showing background characters or not showing them at all, that may only appear once is that the game covers a "long story mode". And for games that feature "voiced dialogues" in the story mode. That can get pretty expensive if it the game has a lot of them especially when the game is not under a triple a budget. I am a trails jrpg fan which is known for having longer than a novel word count for each game and the thing they did to get around of not blowing the voice acting bidget is by literally only handpicking which dialogue will be voiced and which will be not.
Yeah, they should've just re-made the entire anime frame-by-frame and made us sit through all of it, waiting hours between fights. Sure, it would take some effort, but they can just give us half as many playable characters, maybe sacrifice the game balance, end before the arrancar arc, you know? Nobody cares about the fighting game content anyway. We're all here to watch Bleach without actually watching Bleach, because none of us are fans to begin with, so we need to see every detail. Unfortunately, the game devs are extremely lazy, which is why neither the game itself nor any of the characters revealed so far have unique/interesting mechanics and why those characters feel completely different from/unfaithful to the anime/manga. The truth is, they pay a few hundred employees to sit at a table and do nothing, which is where most of their budget goes and if I was in charge, they'd get way more done. I mean, look at Smash Ultimate. It didn't sell any copies, because its story mode was only nearly perfect, unlike the perfect story modes of every other fighting game in existence, so we have every right to complain when not all of our shadows are perfectly crisp. They could have at least had us waste a bunch of time on loading screens and moving from place to place on a tiring-to-navigate open world hub, instead of just giving us the content we're after. I mean, the cutscenes are so short, it wouldn't hurt. Expect to randomly wake up one day on a mountain of diamonds and you'll be disappointed when you look down from a mountain of gold. The game looks jank in places, we can only hope they prioritize that in further development. The devs are clearly working hard to get the most out of their budget. Everywhere I look, I see their passion for this project. If after this game releases, you feel worse than you did before it was announced, it's not the devs' fault, it's your own for setting your expectations too high. Gotta be realistic about it. I suffered through Smash Ultimate's story mode, how bad can Rebirth of Souls's be? I wouldn't refund my ultimate edition pre-order if they completely cancelled story mode altogether. To me, it's not that big of a deal if it's not perfect. Bottom line is: It's better than nothing, so Jidanbo says be thankful.
@2Tune2 oh boy another lets wait and see to excuse any valid things you can see. Sure but when issues are still there, will you admit the issues were there
love your vids but the way y'all did not even expect a decent story mode because most anime games today are failing in that aspect but now that we have it, you expect it to be perfect knowing well that tamsoft is not a cc2 or something. it looks good and we should stop complaining about everything. at least we have real time cutscenes instead of slide shows.
Graphically yeah, they're not too impressive. And yeah, it's a shame that certain NPC's will probably just be disembodied voices However, I think in terms of action and movement, there's AT LEAST more going on than Sparking Zero's story. A lot of them were just still frames. These seem more animated. Granted they kinda fooled us with SZ and they showed us the more animated ones FIRST, and could be doing that here. But I'll give RoS the benefit of the doubt for now. I guess I'm kinda less impressed with big crazy cutscenes in story modes to. They're nice but once you beat it there's little reason to go back. Id rather something more replayable with more characters and stuff to unlock, rather than bombastic cutscenes where after you get through them, that's it. Of course both would be ideal
Nah, you bugging. More screenshots would for sure help but more models, shading and unnecessary details cost MONEY that is better served elsewhere. If you want 1:1 storytelling just read the manga again.
Sorry but, i'm not agree with you This is a fighting game, not a Open world game Yeah, graphic is not the best, but in two months i think they will fix And even if they will not, the game will be funny the same The ghost girl is not relevant in the story, and...she's a ghost, spiritual energy So who cares if we don't see like anime appearance I hope instead story mode will be long enough and full of battles (even hard difficulty)
"In two months-" In one month, the player base will drop significantly. Just like it does with every other fighting game not named Street Fighter/Tekken/Smash Bros. Even more so since its an anime fighting game. History will repeat itself again.
@@A1phaz0ne i think i'm free to play whatever i want and like, and, for your informations, this is not your business. I love fighting games, and I don't think they're boring. I think is more boring playing football, tastes. If you think fighting games are boring, ok But don't throw shit on a game that is not yet published. You don't know if it's funny, competitive or not.
If you buy the game, you know the story. And if you dont know the story, it gives you enough context to be considered a summurized versions. Shadows and stuff are fixes that'll probably happen cause, like, its graphical stuff.
I agree with all of that, shadows definitely need to be improved. But me personally I feel like the reiatsu attacks and special moves like cero's and energy are missing something. Some looked washed out because there is no border or outline to them. What I'm trying to say is they lack a certain level of detail in the interior of the attack, lack an outline, and thus bleed together to make it seem kinda muddy in my opinion. It's like everything else in the game got an upgrade in quality and graphics, but those attacks (whether just a design choice or whatever) are still in the previous era of appearances. In the old games it wasn't an issue because everything was relatively similar. Here it stands out to me because everything else looks so much better. I hope someone understands what I'm trying to get across. Either way, I'll definitely be playing the game at some point.
It definitely was a bit janky lol. Presentation is good in some parts but other not so much. While this isn’t a quote “story made game” like Kakarot I was at least expecting a little better. Hopefully this is an early version or something, or they’re willing to fine tune some things in the future.
Looks the same level of effort as every other anime game. Hell better than most stories cause most anime games don’t even get full cutscenes so I’m not bothered by this (edit) bruh u saying all ts needs to be improved this game comes out in 2 months you’re gonna be pretty disappointed cause ur asking for A LOT to be fixed and there ain’t enough time for them to do all that
Personally, I would have prefered a Musou style game, like the new dynasty warriors. I say that because, when making fighting games, that arent tekken or mortal kombat, a lot of developers focus more on trying to make the gameplay mechanics, which is important, but in doing that, other places start getting cut short. I know people complain about kusou games, but with musous you get a real sense of impact in these abilities, each character can be as ridiculous without trying to limit them to a specific system, and it offers more time to adapt story elements.
Frankly, when it comes to anime fighting games. If a character isnt going to be playable, they most likely wont have a model made for them, which leads to them being cut
Cutscenes look okay on the surface, just need to fix some lighting issues and those pixelated shadows. But skipping that whole interaction of his family? That's like skipping orihime healing ichigo in his sleep before she goes back to hueco mundo and just cutting to him waking up in his bed with a healed up hand. If they dont even bother to give us slideshows for less significant moments like that than it shows the devs weird priorities storywise
Literally no one on this green Earth cares for the story mode. People that watched Bleach are going to buy and play their favorite character vs other people online.
@aleksandarstefanovic605 too bad this a bleach game first and the selling point is bleach first. Given the ip being the selling point, you cant omit bleach out of that.
@@makaisaiyan You are out of your mind if you think i didn't instantly pre order the Ultimate edition exactly because its Bleach. I love this series to death. And i know, i watch your vids, you are not an online heavy person but humans are competitive and like playing vs other people, especially fighting game players. I want this game to thrive. Its sad if you only buy this game to play the story.
tbh I'm just glad we are getting a bleach game after so long, and the gameplay looks fire too! I guess the story is not really great looking at that, but I hope this game will sell fine so MAYBE they can make a sequel with more budget and a great story as well!!
Fr, like the only thing I agree with is that it’s a bummer that we don’t see Ichigo’s family(mostly Isshin since I would assume that he would be playable eventually and it would be weird for him to show up as dlc and new people won’t know who he is) but everyone else doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things
Here we go with the “lazy” comments. You do what you can do within the budget. Its obvious games purpose is fighting games and you keep are comparing it to a bad game. You are speaking way too early and it’s good to point things out but don’t crash out . We’ve only seen a few moments. Tite Kubo is here and he is guiding them so they are going to do what they can do be patient. Money gets divided into different categories and the most money goes to it priority. Im sure the story mode woll be fine 💖 i just hope we can walk around.
I really hope this doesn't end up a day 1 /2month later pach like sparking zero i also hope the online community doesn't end up like sparking zero if u know u know
Is only a problem if this game doesnt have a competitive or good enough gameplay, like guilty gear strive gets by with a pretty bad story mode too but the game is really good and doesnt need no story mode, this is sorta the same i feel. Tho it is still a really fucking shame to think that the devs just cant get enough budget/time to get this done "better" but i dont really care for all that
Although I’m excited for this game it don’t look as good as sparking zero , i remember when the first trailer for this game came out you had sparking zero and bleach fans debate about which game looks better , and I love both series and I say sparking zero looks better, but I’m still excited for this game heck I pre ordered it today
These concerns are valid but this is still development footage, graphical and animation tweaks are almost always done at the end of a games developments cycle, them not showing the sisters and father could mean a lot of things like, these scenes are not done yet or they are made in a novel style so the developers cut them out for this videos sake, or worst case scenario they skipped these scenes. We can and should complain about these things however because the developers are most likely listening and taking notes
I understand your view point but respectfully I’m buying the game to box the story content is fine but rarely play an anime game fir its story mode unless I have to unlock characters or sum
Tbh I agree it needs some improvement such as the pixelated shadows and the empty ghost models. Im not sure if its just because its the demo build or what but some scenes miss out a lot of context such as Ichigo beating up the thugs and the ghost girl thanking him, and some scene transitions aren't very smooth and are very abrupt and can cause a lot of confusion to new fans who have no understanding of the original material. However, I think the lighting is fine. This is much better than what we got for the Sparking Zero slide show story mode and I understand if they want to save time on other things rather than add the model of a ghost girl that only appears for 2 seconds. Because the game covers over 60% of the source material, and depending on how many characters we get I understand that not every cut scene will be perfect. Overall its decent but it does need some improvements.
Such minute nitpicks and unnecessarily meticulous detail to minutiae is rather strange. For one, the stylistic choice of not animating ghosts/lost souls is not only superfluous but obfuscates the fact that this portion of the story is also in canon, the most boring. The part that explains the basic mechanic of how the world functions is sufficiently sated by simply making clear that Kurosaki's doing justice to a ghost. He can see those. No need to hyperfixate here, this part of the narrative everybody wants to get through asap. Also, with regards to the animated characters, Im actually pleased to see that changes in their countenance actually reflect both the emotion and tone of voice they carry. Is it as animated as say, the anime itself? Absolutely not. But given how we're introduced so far to Ichigo, one of the most stoic characters that is, and ep 1 shinigami Rukia, who's duty bound, I think it's understandable the models aren't particularly lively.
Unfortunately, anime fighting game story modes will always be trash, I was expecting this from the start. They do not have BandaiNamco/ NRS levels of budget to make every scene faithful to the source material with fluid animations and multiple angles. Probably haven't seen it as it's worst yet, expect to see some ugly shots in the full game! I haven't touched a fighting game's story mode in yeaaaaaaars, because I know I am in it for the online modes.
I mean, yeah. It’s a fighting game so of course they are going to put their effort into the actual gameplay over everything else. The story isn’t the driving point of these games
Looks like I called it. Hell I was lenient even. I just said don't expect CC2 graphics. The graphics are budget af. We don't even see Ichigo's family in-game. The action is off-screen or faded to black, most of the cutscenes were just yapping. We literally saw something like that in the Yoruichi vs Soi Fon clip. The lack of action clips in the announcement trailer was also a dead giveaway (a lot of the action they showed in that trailer was gameplay and Kikon moves). Same with the Ulq (Reawaken) trailer. Minimal action, gameplay shown instead and Kikon moves being the most cinematic bits. NOW withour expectations tempered... I hope this was run on an older build. The shadows need to be smoothed out, the lighting needs tweaking (specifically the night-time lighting, makes the colors look weird) and the walking still looks floaty/stuttery (like every step is a mini moonwalk). The lip sync looks okay, my only big gripe with it is that their mouths kinda stay gaping open sometimes after they speak? It looks really off-putting.
This game gonna be slightly above average like a 6-7/10. Menus meh, story gonna be meh. No paid online play for me and there won't be much for modes. At least we still have goated Heat The Soul 7 on PSP!
Its not a big deal to me if i wanna watch bleach lol id just go back through a anime rerun im only in it for the gameplay the story is cool yes but knowing me id have the anime playing in the back while im playing the game anyway 😂 im actually surprised they went as far as what they did for the story all i can say is hopefully this can be the start of more bleach games and higher budget ones but as a fan who been waiting yrs for the show return and a game its w/e hopefully this can pull in that needed budget for the next one
@@realrealwarpet This is fine. I am the same, but at least I can acknowledge it looks pretty meh. I even bought the ultimate edition of jump force because I wanted to play as the Bleach character. Now that was a dogshit game. 💀
@ yeah, that shadow dont look great. Not having the thugs was to avoid making worthless models. Same with the ghost girl. I dont know how big the budget or time constraints were, but id imagine the story wasnt too big a concern for them. This is more a simple introduction, rather than a full retelling.
A lot of excuses in the comments, it’s kinda funny lol. Now everyone moving the goalpost to “OnLY tHE GamEplAY maTTeRS”. When we don’t even know how the online is going to be, it could very well be a laggy mess. If they can’t get small things correct y’all think they going to get the important things working like the netcode? Lol
I meam if anything this just is more prove that sajin, shunsui (apologies for spelling errors) and most importantly my girl momo might be playable i mean come on why make a full model of both her and her sword but not yuzu and karin. Me coping real hard on momo getting in aside honestly this is probably the best story mode in an anime fighting game so which is sad, but i still take it over slide shows. But yeah momo!!!! Come on please make her the next reveal i' begging you bandai 🙏
This reveal was by far the most disappointing one. This game needs AT LEAST 6 more months before being released. I can't wait to play it for over 2-3 months, but I would rather wait another year even to have an amazing game of Bleach, than just a great Bleach game (which means little to nothing considering the available Bleach games we have. Soundtrack needed to be like tybw, different but respecting the ost from the intial anime, the sound effects of the iconic attacks and techs are extremely underwhelming for no good reason, the animation, dynamicism and movement in the story mode is disgustingly bad and the style, emotion and soul of the franchise was completly scrapped off of the story mode. The majority of ppl wanting this game will be playing the story mode and the other singleplayer modes. The minority of ppl focusing on the multiplayer can't be celebrating much yet as well, considering the absolute silence about the online of the game, which is also nothing but very worrisome. I'm very worried about this game and especially heart broken, knowing it won't be improved in the less than 3months before release. The best news they can give me now is announcing a delayed released for improving the game after receiving feedback from the fans.
It won't be improved because the fans and posers are too much into sucking corpo dick as it can be clearly seen in the majority of the comments of this video and any other video about this game. Bunch of coonsumers that have no respect to their own time and money, so why would the company that its whole purpose is making the most profit lol it's sadly laughable to see all the spologists and clueless ppl praising this game and coming up with ridiculous excuses for every obvious bad thing in the game so far. It will be the same ppl then crying about the same issues thay were pointed out more than 6 months ago (aka now).
Adding clarification, i do not want cc2 level anything. Cc2 isnt great aside from. CGI cutscenes
I kind of agree but at least CC2 games are fun...
I vehemently disagree
Considering this is a fighting game first, the fact that we're getting a fully voiced, fully animated story is already generous enough. And honestly, compared to other anime fighters recently, this is waaaaay more than those other games got. A FULLY voiced AND animated story all the way to the defeat of Aizen? I'm happy with this. It doesn't look awful either. I will be playing the story and I'm excited for the story only bosses
facts
Fully agree, I prob wont even rlly play story breh, I buy this, just like I bought sparking zero, for gameplay!
The fact that it covered all the way to Aizen's downfall. Do people really want a 100 hours of cutscenes exactly 1:1 like the anime?
@@sheluvsmenotu Gameplay is what matters most tbh.
Who's we? I wouldn't mind getting a Dragonball Z Kakarot but in Bleach as you put it.
Here comes the late excuses that weren't present before

Why does everyone have such low standards. It's good for being a Bleach game in 2025? Honestly I expected this quality, my ultimate edition is secure and I am still looking forward to this game. But I'll quote Aizen and say "That is a loser's reasoning! A winner has to speak not of the world as it is,but of the world as it should be!". Look up Bleach Soul Resonance, specifically Ichigo vs Ulquiorra (the older version should be leaked here) or Ichigo vs Kenpachi if it has been leaked on YT. That shit looks clean and it's for a freaking mobile game.
@ it has nothing to do with low standards and soul resonance is a different type of game with different budget
Bro you gotta realize the amount of work they have to put in to do all that small unnecessary details in a VIDEO GAME. If you want all those details, go watch the anime or read the manga.
Exactly
Read the manga!!!
Then why does bleach game play not look as smooth as sparking???
@@DreBagsGaming because different studios?
If I had to choose, then I rather a Kakarot-style Bleach game then. Kakarot was fucking amazing and arguably one of the definitive experiences for DBZ

Guys, this is not a matter of fixing, the game comes out in 2 months, it will not be adjusted, this is a matter of budget, tamsoft is not a company the size of CyberConnect 2
I guess the visual "bug" with Ulquiorra awakening was fixed in time record by magic...
@Takezo_Shinmen7 That is one bug, another thing is remake an entire story mode because its not looking good
@@neitavares6943 Your delusional if you think that it’s not looking good, only the pixel shadows was the problem and it’s not that hard to fix that.
@danielfodio3308 you know this how? Oh an ought claim i see...
". Your biggest mistake is thinking all the fans buying the game want a fully fleshed out story."
And your biggest mistake is thinking all the fans don't care about the story mode being disappointing.
Looks like your average anime cutscenes. I hope people didn't expect cc2 levels of presentation.
@zenossaki The presentation is fine, but the small shit is addressable.
@@makaisaiyanWhy sweat the small stuff, is probably what the devs thought but seriously do we need to put so much attention on something that even In the anime isn't that important.
@@genius3121 small stuff... ok
@@makaisaiyan is it not?
Yeah but if it can't compare to cc2 10 years ago when they were making cutscenes for storm 2 and 3 then I'll feel free to skip the cutscenes until it shows the parts of the manga I would want to see and I didn't even mention storm revolution or 4
But tbh these cutscenes don't even compare you to the OG Persona 5(maybe im bashing it too much I mean the soul society scenes got me hype same goes for ulquiorras 2nd ressureccion cutscene it gave me nyx from persona 3 reload vibes)
At least in the storm standard cutscenes the lip sync is fine, the shadows don't have angles and they don't stutter walk.
@@paledrake go look at ninja storm 1 and tell me it's better. p/s: it's not. lmao
@@zeroskaterz92 Go look at UNS 2-4. It is.
@ Arrancar arc and TYBW arc are both equally long actually.
My man wants a 100% copy of the manga or anime in a fighting game were the gameplay is the most important thing!
Sounds like a better game what one that will die within a month like every other anime fighting game before it. Activity on Sparking Zero has dropped significantly.
Still better than Dragonball Sparking Zero story mode and that's all that matters.
Absolutely
I agree, the story in sparking zero is a slide show
I felt so fucking robbed by that shit. I wish I didn't let the hype trick me into buying that garbage.
@ It's okay. It happens.
So you want them to fully adapt the like 160 canon episodes fully animated and with all the content besides the fighting game ??? I agree with you on improving the shadows and other stuff tho it would be impossible for them to adapt everything.
It wouldn't be impossible just time consuming & more money.
I like where the developers are taking the story.
the game and its story more looks great. ESPECIALLY after what happened with jjk cursed clash, this is an incredibly welcome addition.
The story mode is not a dealbreaker for me the game play looks great
As someone whos never seen bleach, the story mode will be a pleasant surprise for me to get upto par with the events of the series.

History about to repeat itself with this game.
ngl my expectations for the story mode has dropped alot but i'm still hyped for the game regardless
After playing the persona games this doesnt bother me but I understand why it would be a problem
PERSONA MENTIONED RAHHHH 🔥🔥🔥
Persona's known for having weak presentation after all.
Persona is goated oh and yakuza can't forget about that goated series
This really isn't that big of a deal I rather gameplay be great then story mode scenes. Just watch the anime
I had a similar initial reaction, but given how long the story will need to be, I imagine it would be an absolute nightmare to add all these assets you will only see a couple of times. There will need to be hundreds of one-off characters and locations designed which will get about 10 seconds of view time each, probably not very financially viable to do so
I mean yeah I am even surprised the entire cutscenes was fully voiced considering it will cover a really long story mode.
and it being on ps4 will obviously make the graphics be held back
@@2Tune2 the "stylized anime look" don't necessarily need ps5 full fidelity to look good.

Like this game will not be even relatively as demanding on your console even compared to the PS4 version of Ffvii remake even if they made the Bleach game for ps5 since it will still be on the same graphic style and production value .
@@DoodWhoDrawsThat’s what I’m saying.

Do you really want them to waste money on shadows and thug models or characters and actually important stuff?
Also this is definitely not finished gameplay. Shadows could be due to the performance of what they are playing on
For real just go re watch the anime if you want every single details like it’s a game
Ain’t nobody gaf about no damn spirit that we saw for 3 whole business seconds
@@ArmaniReyes-d2f if you think shadowing in development is expensive...
Are you dumb or something? Literally one of his sisters got attacked, you can even hear her voice.
I'll be real. i do not care about story mode in fighting games and especially anime fighting games 😂. All i care about is the combat system and how the game plays. Was never expecting them to go all out in the story mode department.
You are intelligent.
@criterion9801 thank you 🥸
"Are the devs too lazy to make a model for Yuzu or Karin"
Making 3d models is super expensive and time consuming. So them not making a detailed model for the ghost girl, Ichigo's sisters or other non-combat characters that would return in important story cutscenes is super understandable IMO. At the end of the day it is a fighting game first
sure
I agree, in that the story mode looks rough and at best serviceable. But lets hope that it gets better during launch.
A lot of the skipping around in the story is to be somewhat expected. This game covers way too much content.
Lol, best comment
I hope they really don’t mess this game up
@codeblack9551 if they do, it will just get hate to target bleach...
I think it's obvious it's the demo version not the full version tite kubo is involved with it so we don't know what will changes he'll put in it.
@2Tune2 oh boy another lets wait and see to excuse any valid things you can see. Sure but when issues are still there, will you admit the issues were there
love your vids but the way y'all did not even expect a decent story mode because most anime games today are failing in that aspect but now that we have it, you expect it to be perfect knowing well that tamsoft is not a cc2 or something. it looks good and we should stop complaining about everything. at least we have real time cutscenes instead of slide shows.
true
The animation feels really janky to be honest
But i believe the rigid shadow and other issues will most likely be addressed

WE NEED TO GIVE THEM FEEDBACK!
Graphically yeah, they're not too impressive. And yeah, it's a shame that certain NPC's will probably just be disembodied voices
However, I think in terms of action and movement, there's AT LEAST more going on than Sparking Zero's story.
Sorry but, i'm not agree with you
This is a fighting game, not a Open world game
Yeah, graphic is not the best, but in two months i think they will fix
And even if they will not, the game will be funny the same
The ghost girl is not relevant in the story, and...she's a ghost, spiritual energy
So who cares if we don't see like anime appearance
I hope instead story mode will be long enough and full of battles (even hard difficulty)
"In two months-"
In one month, the player base will drop significantly. Just like it does with every other fighting game not named Street Fighter/Tekken/Smash Bros.
Even more so since its an anime fighting game. History will repeat itself again.
@A1phaz0ne ok champ
@ First time getting into a fighter?
@@A1phaz0ne i think i'm free to play whatever i want and like, and, for your informations, this is not your business.
I love fighting games, and I don't think they're boring.
I think is more boring playing football, tastes.
If you think fighting games are boring, ok
But don't throw shit on a game that is not yet published. You don't know if it's funny, competitive or not.
@ Sorry that the truth hurts? No reason for you to spaz out on the keyboard kiddo.
Fighting games just die out. That's the truth of things.
If you buy the game, you know the story. And if you dont know the story, it gives you enough context to be considered a summurized versions. Shadows and stuff are fixes that'll probably happen cause, like, its graphical stuff.
Its a fighting game , i think you ask for waaaay too much tho 😂
Idk why people hate slide show cutscenes so much, this are basically slide shows, the characters barely move
It definitely was a bit janky lol. Presentation is good in some parts but other not so much. While this isn’t a quote “story made game” like Kakarot I was at least expecting a little better. Hopefully this is an early version or something, or they’re willing to fine tune some things in the future.
Yeah I don’t need the games story to be a replacement for the anime. I want playable fight scenes.
Looks the same level of effort as every other anime game. Hell better than most stories cause most anime games don’t even get full cutscenes so I’m not bothered by this (edit) bruh u saying all ts needs to be improved this game comes out in 2 months you’re gonna be pretty disappointed cause ur asking for A LOT to be fixed and there ain’t enough time for them to do all that
But we don't know how early this demo build of the game is, hell all this could be fixed already for all we know.
Yo Makai Saiyen, thank you very much for the video. I can't wait with this marvelous game ! ❤
@aleksandarstefanovic605 you know this how? Maybe bandai should of guess you for advice. Seems they should get rid of the story based on your view
@@makaisaiyan This is a Fighting game. The fighting is the selling point.
@aleksandarstefanovic605 too bad this a bleach game first and the selling point is bleach first. Given the ip being the selling point, you cant omit bleach out of that.

Its sad if you only buy this game to play the story.
@aleksandarstefanovic605 but thats my point its a bleach game first. In order to attract others it most attract its biggest fans aka bleach fans first
tbh I'm just glad we are getting a bleach game after so long, and the gameplay looks fire too! I guess the story is not really great looking at that, but I hope this game will sell fine so MAYBE they can make a sequel with more budget and a great story as well!!
Nitpicking energy 🤐
Tho it is still a really fucking shame to think that the devs just cant get enough budget/time to get this done "better" but i dont really care for all that
No its not
Looks good
Also its just story mode who cares all that matters is gameplay which is peak
@@Azuredock7912 Yup just stating the obvious to people that were expecting a 1 -1 copy of the story
Fixing to cancel my pre order
i think it's fine

@ yeah, that shadow dont look great. Not having the thugs was to avoid making worthless models. Same with the ghost girl. I dont know how big the budget or time constraints were, but id imagine the story wasnt too big a concern for them. This is more a simple introduction, rather than a full retelling.
@realrealwarpet Is not having Yuzu, Karin and Isshin also to avoid making "useless" models?
@ yep. Sorry yuzu and karin, you dont actually do anything. Isshin however, that’s surprising.
A lot of excuses in the comments, it’s kinda funny lol. Now everyone moving the goalpost to “OnLY tHE GamEplAY maTTeRS”.
