  • My first time riding Prevost and it did not disappoint! Finally made it out and was shown the speed and the size of all the features. Not the last time I will be there for sure!

    You can tell why DH racers love Prevost, though. The sustained high speeds there are pretty unique for BC riding, outside of bike parks.

    Completely on the edge of my seat watching this. Those were some fun hits and warp speeds. I haven't ridden there. Loved the creek gap! Nice work hanging with Finn on his DH bike!

    Man that video was freakin awesome! you guys are so fast! Finn's speed is crazy, granted he's on a DH bike but still.     It just amazes me how active you guys are on the bikes. You keep pushing and pumping while being so centered on the bike! So I'll try to let go off the brakes, read the terrain while looking far far ahead down the trail while pumping like a maniac and taking off where it makes sense to smoothen the ride to minimalize rolling resistance. Lesson learned :) That's the theory at least.

      There is the 'neutral' position that bike coaches will talk about, and that will always be your center. But you are able to play around and deviate from that neutral position if you are always in control and able to revert back to it.

    Amazing vid! Too bad you couldn’t muffle a bit the wind on your GoPro, but it shows how fast you were all going :-o Btw, what chainstay protector do you have? Your bike sounded incredibly quiet!

      I have bought some wind mufflers so hopefully the next videos are better!
      Rocky have made their own chainstay protector that I was using.

    They say it's the craziest trail set on Vancouver Island Ha I'd say so, 99% of features on most trails there is a chicken line... those you have to commit 100% when you enter lols thats above my pay grade. I had fun on Menzies mountain.

    Jesse one question - how much pro DH racer like Finn Illes differs from a proffesional Enduro racer like you when it comes to skills, pace downhill etc?

      I would say when it comes down to it we are similar. He just has more skills and practice going really fast on a DH bike and DH track with many runs whereas as I have more skills and practice going fast on and Enduro track with less runs.

      There was never an issue with the bike...check your bolts often!

      Wasn't a chainstay issue, it was a loose axle, that should have been checked and tightened before the ride. Any bike would have failed the same way with a loose axle. Rocky took the high road and never said anything trying to avoid a "Pole" situation.
