My thoughts exactly. I don’t even think he left the hospital. When he brought Albert and Chimney coffees, he did look into the room at Buck but you could tell he was emotional. He couldn’t look at him for long.

This is "my" best moment in the episode ❤️ watched this over and over and the part where buck tells Chris in the coma world off that he wasn't real, Buck said he was gonna be guilty over that a lot is because it is still Christopher, albeit not the real one, Buck will still feel guilty because he didn't enable like he normally would. Loved that little comment from buck. That had to be there.
We’re all talking about how Eddie can’t look at Buck- but can we talk about how he immediately starts shaking his head when Christopher asks about the tubes at 0:50? It could just be me, but the way I see it is him trying to block out this reality of Buck’s condition. We kinda have the assumption Eddie hasn’t come into the room and really seen Buck, so the last time he really saw him was when they brought him in. No tubes, no machines, just on a gurney coming back to them. And that’s probably the way he wants to imagine how Buck is. But when Chris asks about the tubes, he’s forced into reality. Only after that do the tears break over.
Although I was initially mad about the lack of Eddie I honestly think it’s gonna come back later in the season. His reaction to Buck was way different from everyone else’s, and the complete lack of him in the coma dream had to have been deliberate
When Buck was struck by the lightning, the way Eddie was screaming bloody murder for him in that moment is exactly like how Buck ran out of the hospital screaming bloody murder when he heard that gunshot because he thought Mitchell killed Eddie. Anytime one of them has a near death experience, the other one is always the most scared and heartbroken out of everybody else.
My theory for why there wasn’t many/any buddie moments in this episode is because it was too hard for Eddie to see buck like that and he didn’t want to face the reality that he might loose him so, if he didn’t see him or have a one on one talk he could act like everything was going to be ok. Then when Chris wanted to see him he wanted to be a good dad and let him see buck and then when he was faced with seeing buck like that he was overcome with emotions and that’s why he teared up.
