How do I recover my character after using Resurrection scroll? My player glows blue, and simply floats in the air. I cannot get them to do anything. Is this a glitch in my game? Also, you have some really outta sight videos! Keep up the great work.
IIRC you need the physical body for the scroll to target. One trick i had found on one of my runs is to teleport to the ...."end of time" area and the bodies would get ported there. Hope that helps.

Dos gets pretty easy after you know the skills and figured out a play style that suits you. Ronin Jeremy hey man, I just played this game recently the enhanced edition. And I have a hard time playing this game. I have a hard time going to Evelyn's lair. Not because I'm lost but the mob on my way there are really hard seems always to outnumbered me. I already lvl 3 when I leave the city and I'm using shadowblade and Pyro Geo mage as my char with madora and ranger lady as companion. I think my item is pretty solid and I've been reading guide about which skill to buy fory char. But it still seems really hard for me. Do you have any tips for new player like me? If you could answer me I will be very grateful.
Well, you should try to leave the city at Level 5 if you can, anything 2 levels higher will probably kill you very easily. If you are going out and unsure where to go check enemies levels first and compare to your own. There are about 2 hours of stuff that you can do in cyseal before leaving for the first time. Thanks, well rogue and shadow blades are definitely viable and useful in their own rights. I do not recommend it for a newer player it is definitely an advanced class, only use them if you really know what you are doing, they require some prep work before a fight but can make quick work of the enemies with proper planning. Let's say you place an oil or ooze barrel before the fight right next to the enemies so that a fire spell ignites it or a barrel with some grenades. You can also access areas that you might not be able to until much later in the game with the help of in the shadows. Which means you get early EXP and potential useful loot and money.

so i've got a quick question , is there a way to kill like a guard by placing a poisonous item in their pocket? like a tenebrium bar or ore or a poison item? cuz i've tried that and it doesn't work even with 10 bars !! if it doesn't work so why do we have the ability to place an item on someone?!
I'll be honest, in the first game i hardly ever stole from anyone since i didn't like the points needed for it. In the sequel it works much better. Now saying this, i don't think there's a way to kill off someone with tenebrium. Likely depends on where in the game you are. Tenebrium used to kill vendors in the original version but i think it got fixed in the EE. Try it in cyseal. I don't think you can force an npc to consume what you put in their bags. Grenades would be cool but they are somewhat underwhelming.

I have started the game with a rogue archer, because I like to play stealth and shot from distance, also I like to steal items(to much Skyrim, I know) and what I like the most, are the fights, turn base, like in old classic Final Fantasy games
Aram Tapacian sounds great, all classes are definetely viable if you adjust your playstyle. classes are closer to skyrim as you might think since you can essentially learn any skills on anyone. given you have the required stats. so you can beva good thief without being a true rogue. rogues are the hardest to play well but they can pack a big punch with proper battlefield prep.

I was lucky because was on sale on ps Store (60% off), I was start to search at the RPG category and I almost screamed when I seen this and so cheap. I wanted the game from the first time I have seen it(release day). So yeah, I think I'm gonna start again from beginning to play "for real" now!

+Ronin Jeremy Yes so far it seems very promising! I find combat very hard tho. I rolled a rogue and I am just so much worse than Jahan for example. Is rogue just not the best class, or am I missing something? I always go for backstabs when I can etc, but still my wizard can dish and CC the same or more amount my rogue can, and do it safely from a distance. My party is ~level 7.
The rogue will be the highest damage dealer on a single target in the long run if built right, but also the softest. The warrior can be either a tank or a Damage Dealer but not as high as a rogue. The mage can dish out AoE damage like no other, or even prevent the enemies from doing anything so your rogue can dish it out without being hit. There are a lot of ways to play, if you keep an open mind as to what can be done. Just make sure you play to your party's Strength's. Personally i like not getting hit by CC'ing the enemy. but i have done both. If you are new to the game i don't recommend Lone Wolf, once you know what you are doing then try out Lone Wolf, if you lose a character even just form stun, that's 50% of your group.
Thanks for these tips Ronin. Yes, I am aiming to always have the enemies being under my CC spells so my rogue can do easy damage. But I guess early game is just hard. Currently stuck at the Baron of Bones bossfight.
well uh i don't understand why not just go invisible and rob them ride before their eyes. being in sneak only works if you pickpocket just being outright invisible plus with a telikinesis ability means they can grab everything even those paintings that are out of reach. pickpocketing also works for enemies rush in invisibly and rob them serves an advantage except to beast tho
Bruno Garcia but taking telekenesis early game i wouldn't recommend for beginners. Its been a while since I've played the original but i did use to use invisible to pick stuff up. I'm surprised i didn't cover that in the guide but thanks for suggesting it. Mind you in the sequel this won't work.

Also I separate her n have her invisibly rob human enemies before combat as well as setup terrain and traps before landing a critical if possible. When I finish this game I'll be sure to play the next one it's so endepth and addicting.
Bruno Garcia trust me the sequel is superior to the original. As great as the first is the sequel is better in every way. Picture borderlands and borderlands 2. The rogue in the sequel is actualy great in combat and balanced. Hybrid builds are also recommended. As for money you can still steal and it is very lucrative, you just can't use invisibility to do it. But at the end of the game i had 1 million gold in my inventory. You have other tricks that may work in the original I'm not 100% sure. Like bribing vendors to like you. At tier one its 100$ for a 25% discount. Add that to your bartering stat to the great you stole and you'll be rich.

+Monds Agustin Good question, you will start with 2 main heroes for the first hour to 2 hours. Once in town you will have options which might seem hidden to you at first but you can choose from 4 heroes in town to make a group of 4 unless you picked the Lone Wolf talent. If you are new to the game i don't recommend trying love wolf out. If you fee you want to try different heroes than the 4 in town, after you collect 2 Blood Stones (Story Progression Items) you can hire different "Merc's" . Trying to keep it spoiler free but the 4 heroes you can choose from are just fine to pick from. Their stats may not be optimal but they are certainly not beyond repair. Vernon Ray Nice, what are your 2 mains ? So you have wolgraf and bear daughter. a Rogue and a ranger. Both are good i just hope you have at least 1 mage in your party. The ranger is pretty much the perfect filler class. It can Croud Control the enemies (CC) Dps almost as good as any other class and can fill the stealth role for out of combat stuff. Wolgraf will need to be babied in the beginning but near the end will be your top single target DPS if played well.
Aram Tapacian if you have any questions, feel free to ask. i have over 800 hours in the game now, i should be able to help no problem. The game may seem brutal at first due to a steep learning curve. but once you learn a few tipsvand tricks it is quite enjoyable. i recommend a class with sumon spider for newer players.
hey ronin... now that the enhanced Edition is out if stealth still important can you do that stuff in battle where you just go right to stealth and then backstab cuz I think your first Rogue guy was before the enhanced Edition so what three main things should I focus on see it came with two and dual wielding is that going to get wasted
+skillywilly187 Yeah that was Pre EE, you can use skills like invisibility to protect your rogue in combat. I like using invisibility pre fight to prepare what i need to do. Like setting up barrels or getting into a good position to back stab once the fight is started. A rogue definetly needs Dual Wielding or youll lose out on that dps.
sorry been a while with the video. What do you mean starting at level 11? Loot everything that's not nailed down. Painting and all. not to give spoilers to you but explore since there's no set path. some areas can be snuck around and have higher-end items. a big one IIRC is selling your gear and then kill the vendor when you are done with them. Money is not a big problem in the game. Enjoy the steep learning curve if you are new to the genre. The game is really great.

@@ShuMO99 No worries, just here to help. Probably Level 11 to help gather the information to save time from recording. The game is massive. plus you have the sequel and BG 3 coming out in about 15 months or so. I'm not sure about trackball, I remap W and E to rotate the camera. Crafting is a bit weird in this one. i don't usually bother with it since most things are only really worth doing at max level since crafting is tied to the crafting stat and your level. I usually hoard the stuff until I'm about lvl 19-20. oncei think I'm keeping the gear and i augment it. Maybe other people have their recipes or mods to make it better but so far in DOS 1-2 the crafting is a bit of an afterthought. I would suggest planning out your build a little so that your civil skills are spread over all your characters. Like 1 for loremaster , 1 for your crafting smithing. and someone else for thievery if you chose to go for it. As far as classes this game isn't very friendly with multi classing unless you really know a good synergy. So focus on the basics of warrior , ranger, mage. plan on mastering 1 combat skill with maybe another. 1 example of Cross class that works well is a warrior with IIRC 1 point in Aero for Teleport and thunder kick. Not for Damage but utility. maybe healing 1-2 points for like rain or depending on your party. if you have a pyromancer add in 1 point for geo skills. Again not for the damage but for the option to add in oil or summon a meat shield spider. Tons of options! GL cheers!
Played this again...still overwhelming and I try not to check guides and just play blind..didn't know where to buy spells specially witchcraft..tried going to a cave north of the legion camp and was killed many times by a bunch of boars and undead mages..haha I main male shadow blade and fem wizard? Which has pyro and geo..based on your vids I think mine is not a good start, any advise on how I can improve my party?The combat is difficult but I'm enjoying it..not sure how to level up faster too and the points given for stats is just 1.lol
Also what are the items needed for the homestead so i could access the tavern and hire npcs..i might have missed it but im still early in the game.,just found out abt the murder and just raided evelyn's house..i have also met the timeweaver already..thanks!
Hey, thanks for the comment, yes the game has a steep curve but once you get over it the game becomes quite enjoyable. The way I like to play is CC(crowd control) early on it is hard to control the fight but as you get higher levels more skills are made available. Try to focus on classes that are not hybrids until you understand the game more. So maybe start with a warrior, cleric or knight. For the other class, I think the witch,mage or even another warrior. Having summoned spells do help early on. Some of the good starting spells if you want to make good starting classes; teleport, spider,heal,battering ram.... Make sure you get the stats and how to maximize them. Speed works best as an odd number for the extra AP. don't waste stats on stuff you won't need. focus speed for most classes, in on a mage. get 1 class to do your crafting, spread what you can like loremaster on a different class than your crafter. Leadership is great to get 2 people with it, Hope this helps.
Bloodstones are needed, to advance the homestead. There are 2 in the first city. you can easily spend 2 hours in the city even knowing where to go. I suggest doing as much as you can before leaving, it will give you a good start.

The learning curve is huge you'll get there, i might make it look easy now but i have 600 hours now...i'm sure if you keep trying new things you'll figure out your style and probably things things i haven't found out. try and prevent taking hits ... that's my style.

I have over 600 hours in the game, at this point immersion sometimes needs to be sped up, like dialogue, unless the story was different every time depending on how you played i could see it being re-read. Best use of pickpocketing is not for money gains, but to remove potions/grenades from NPC inventories (which makes them unable to use the item)

what key on ur keyborad did you press to use crosss bow and hit 3times per second??
in the original, there was no reload on the crossbow, in the Enhanced Edition you need to move or right click in between attacks.

farhood mohammadi yeah maybe, but stealth isn't about assassinations in this game. It's got lots of uses though. Assassinations would be OP.

The ranger is pretty much the perfect filler class. It can Croud Control the enemies (CC) Dps almost as good as any other class and can fill the stealth role for out of combat stuff.
Wolgraf will need to be babied in the beginning but near the end will be your top single target DPS if played well.
I just got the game on PS4, but I think I start with the wrong "settings", wrong race and so on. So maybe this video finds help me!

The game may seem brutal at first due to a steep learning curve. but once you learn a few tipsvand tricks it is quite enjoyable. i recommend a class with sumon spider for newer players.

hey ronin... now that the enhanced Edition is out if stealth still important can you do that stuff in battle where you just go right to stealth and then backstab cuz I think your first Rogue guy was before the enhanced Edition so what three main things should I focus on see it came with two and dual wielding is that going to get wasted
+skillywilly187 Yeah that was Pre EE, you can use skills like invisibility to protect your rogue in combat. I like using invisibility pre fight to prepare what i need to do. Like setting up barrels or getting into a good position to back stab once the fight is started. A rogue definetly needs Dual Wielding or youll lose out on that dps.

Loot everything that's not nailed down. Painting and all. not to give spoilers to you but explore since there's no set path. some areas can be snuck around and have higher-end items.
a big one IIRC is selling your gear and then kill the vendor when you are done with them. Money is not a big problem in the game. Enjoy the steep learning curve if you are new to the genre. The game is really great.
@@RoninJeremy Sorry if I came off grumpy - I just meant, your video starts with your char at lvl 11 - I'm still trying to determine how to craft, what to pickup, how to get my trackball to handle rotation! I was hoping for 'when you start out, make a few arrows like this' etc. Still enjoying the game tho! thanks for the response.

Probably Level 11 to help gather the information to save time from recording. The game is massive. plus you have the sequel and BG 3 coming out in about 15 months or so.
I'm not sure about trackball, I remap W and E to rotate the camera. Crafting is a bit weird in this one. i don't usually bother with it since most things are only really worth doing at max level since crafting is tied to the crafting stat and your level. I usually hoard the stuff until I'm about lvl 19-20. oncei think I'm keeping the gear and i augment it. Maybe other people have their recipes or mods to make it better but so far in DOS 1-2 the crafting is a bit of an afterthought.
I would suggest planning out your build a little so that your civil skills are spread over all your characters. Like 1 for loremaster , 1 for your crafting smithing. and someone else for thievery if you chose to go for it. As far as classes this game isn't very friendly with multi classing unless you really know a good synergy. So focus on the basics of warrior , ranger, mage. plan on mastering 1 combat skill with maybe another.
1 example of Cross class that works well is a warrior with IIRC 1 point in Aero for Teleport and thunder kick. Not for Damage but utility. maybe healing 1-2 points for like rain or depending on your party. if you have a pyromancer add in 1 point for geo skills. Again not for the damage but for the option to add in oil or summon a meat shield spider.

Played this again...still overwhelming and I try not to check guides and just play blind..didn't know where to buy spells specially witchcraft..tried going to a cave north of the legion camp and was killed many times by a bunch of boars and undead mages..haha I main male shadow blade and fem wizard? Which has pyro and geo..based on your vids I think mine is not a good start, any advise on how I can improve my party?The combat is difficult but I'm enjoying it..not sure how to level up faster too and the points given for stats is just 1.lol
Also what are the items needed for the homestead so i could access the tavern and hire npcs..i might have missed it but im still early in the game.,just found out abt the murder and just raided evelyn's house..i have also met the timeweaver already..thanks!
Hey, thanks for the comment, yes the game has a steep curve but once you get over it the game becomes quite enjoyable.
The way I like to play is CC(crowd control) early on it is hard to control the fight but as you get higher levels more skills are made available. Try to focus on classes that are not hybrids until you understand the game more. So maybe start with a warrior, cleric or knight. For the other class, I think the witch,mage or even another warrior. Having summoned spells do help early on.
Some of the good starting spells if you want to make good starting classes; teleport, spider,heal,battering ram....
Make sure you get the stats and how to maximize them. Speed works best as an odd number for the extra AP. don't waste stats on stuff you won't need. focus speed for most classes, in on a mage. get 1 class to do your crafting, spread what you can like loremaster on a different class than your crafter. Leadership is great to get 2 people with it,

Bloodstones are needed, to advance the homestead. There are 2 in the first city. you can easily spend 2 hours in the city even knowing where to go. I suggest doing as much as you can before leaving, it will give you a good start.
+Ronin Jeremy just got my first bloodstone from evelyn..thanks for the yeah there's so much depth in this game..i plan on just continuing my current characters then maybe start a new one afterwards..also having a hard time sneaking with my shadowblade, he always die first during battles..lol
The learning curve is huge you'll get there, i might make it look easy now but i have 600 hours now...i'm sure if you keep trying new things you'll figure out your style and probably things things i haven't found out. try and prevent taking hits ... that's my style.
Maybe its not wise to explain early game with lvl 11 characters?

I have over 600 hours in the game, at this point immersion sometimes needs to be sped up, like dialogue, unless the story was different every time depending on how you played i could see it being re-read. They fixed that in EE :). It did not make sense and was broken .
