This video got me balling my eyes out. Thank you for making a video about being an exchange student in America. This always has been my dream, hope i will accomplish that dream some day. Good luck in ur life, be happy all the time and never lose that beautiful soul 🫶
This is amazing. My wife an I are hosting for the first time about a hour an half away from Houston this school year 2022/2023. She’s from Spain. We love going to Galveston. Have a trip set in to go to Colorado already as well an no telling what else we will do.
What a beautiful story you have Alicia. And so many great memories that will make you smile many many times in the future, Good luck to you and may you find all of the happiness and peace you deserve. Mila in Seattle. ♣
it was so beautiful to experience this year through your eyes and gratitude. im so lucky to know you and i will miss you everyday. keep in touch pretty girl. i love your soul 🤍
What happened to EF ..? I was studying with them 2010 in Manchester and 2013 in Barcelona.. it was the best days in my life and it was the best days for EF it was wild and a lot of people there and the best things is living in the student accommodation 😂
En minut in i videon jag gråter🥲glad att du haft ett bra år! Kan inte förstå att min dröm slår in om tre veckor😭❤️Och en till sak! Vad redigerar och filmar du med?! Älskar dina videor❤️
Hi, your English definitely doesn’t have to be perfect to go there, it’s fine as long as you can make yourself understood. You are there to learn better English and you definitely will improve so much!!
most people hear in America cant speak English well tbh,so as long as you know the basic words and phrases you can fill in the rest as you get more experince.
This video is incredible 😭❤️ I have a question, I really want to go with EF too but I don’t really understand it, do I select “EF language year abroad”? If I do, it’ll place me into a public school right? Not the EF campus?
hii, thank you so much!!🥺 you should choose “EF exchange year” if you want to be placed in a public school. you can show EF that you’re interested in going on an exchange year by using this link: bit.ly/32qQjow ❤️
@@marina_varnava no problem!!❤you should be able to show your interest and request a free brochure using my link, and later apply! admissions should be open all year round:)
@@aliciafuchstrantidis I cannot thank you enough, I didn’t know about this! I’m so glad you had such an amazing time, I hope so much I’ll achieve that too someday
wait, i have a question. so i really want to do an exchange year maybe in grade 10 or 11 (i'm finishing 9 right now). how long is the process between finding out you get to go and actually going? because i noticed at the start of the video you said you found out at the end of 2019 and went halfway through 2021 - is this how long it all takes? or was it postponed due to covid or other stuff? because with this schedule if i apply this year I'll only be able to go two years from now - is this the earliest you can do?

i have really bad social anxiety but I still do really wanna do an exchange year in the US before it's too late.
you will really regret it if you don’t do it, and you’ll grow so much socially

the process is usually faster, in my case it was later because of covid!! I would suggest starting applying around a year before departure:)
Bababoi u we’re in my school task
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Greetings from our family- Kapiso Mo Vlog
thank you!!
Hi Alicia , can we continue our study in USA after completing the yes program
Hi, I have never heard of the yes program before so I suggest you to reach out to someone with more information.
How does one become an exchange student???? Who did u "exchange"???
Start out by finding an exchange organization that you like and contact them! I went with the company EF.
its the "exchange" of ideas, relations and language. It's about the experiences in the host countries to the students countries as a way to show diversity and different ideas
Beautiful video. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Say hi to Rogier for me
It’s so expensive please tell me does it have financial aid or help with money?
you could reach out to your local EF office for scholarships etc!
Hello, I don't know if you will see this message but I currently live in France. I can't speak English. Did you know how to speak English before going to America or did you learn everything there in class?
Hi! Yes I knew how to speak English before, but it got way better after my year in America. In Sweden we start learning English at an early age in school:)
Do you think I can only do it with the base I have? Because I don't want to lose it in class
I think you need to have at least an understanding in English before you go, but you’ll learn a lot during your time there as well.
I need your support
👍
Do they offer scholarships?
With what company did you go ?
EF!
How much does it cost?😮💨
check with your local EF office for the exact prices, as it has changed since I went on my exchange year! but expect at least 10 000 euros.
@@aliciafuchstrantidis thank you for info🩵
