This razor hit the sweet spot for me. I love efficient low blade feel razors, and this hit the mark for me. Gorgeous razor, well crafted, and great design.
Thanks for the thorough and detailed review Jon! Greats points all around. I will also add that for anyone who prefers a more plus level of efficiency, and doesn't mind having a bit more blade feeling in order to get it, we do have a '+' level plate with a 0.99 mm gap coming out this fall. Thanks again for the fantastic content and have a great week!
Nice review Jon. Mine arrives tomorrow. The Overlander Aluminum is my favorite DE but the added SS weight of the Drakkant and low blade feel/nice efficiency sounds wonderful. High hopes!
How the heck did I miss this??? Great job Jon, and I have to add my .02, in that the Drakkant is a phenomenal razor!!! I’ve been absolutely loving mine.
I have the Drakkant in machine finish, and it became one of my favorite razors the first time I used it. Kaleb put out a video on how to “properly” use this razor, and I made sure to watch it before using it for the first time. Really helped! 🤘
First off Jon, well done review. That's a very nice presentation, and since I rarely keep the boxes for most of the product I purchase, I'm glad that the presentation is minimal but functional. Since this is their first offering, I'm wondering if form for the handle indicates that there's a potential for a longer handle version of it (there seems to be an extra 1/2" or so of space in that foam). It's definitely a pretty razor, and I like the aesthetic of the handle, covered tabs, and handle length. Will be looking at the other offerings cause I'm looking to add another DE soon since I gave my EJ DE89 to my nephew to allow them to start wet shaving.
Ignore the elephant in the room and major con is the cost! This razor looks nice but at $185, does it offer that much of a better shave over cheaper alternatives? I don't have a problem spending that much for a razor if it will be the only razor I will buy for the rest of my life. This is like the new hot dancer at the strip club. You know next month there will be a hotter one to spend your money on!. Always chasing the dragon!
Beautiful razor and right in my wheel house for performance! Funny to hear about the grenade vibes on the handle tho hahaha I initially got some sort of sword hilt vibes
Lovely review Jon ! Kaleb has done a remarkable job on the design of the razor. Looks fantastic. If you were to compare it to the Henson +++ , how would you rate it ? More or less efficient etc ? Thanks !

@@Latherhog you’re welcome! And yessir! Absolutely loving it!
A very informative video, thanks Jon!
Fair review. I’ve been enjoying my Drakkant journey and agree with your points. It sure is a looker in my collection.

Hey Xerxes, I would say as far as efficiency, the Drakkant is very similar to the Henson +++
@@Latherhog Thank you !
