In today's video, I give Katie a haircut. She wanted a trim with little bangs and face framing. I'm definitely not a professional and I was a little nervous but it turned out to look super cute!!!

As a stylist this was painful to watch
As a professional hairstylist I just wanna point out that you shouldn’t elevate the hair. Also your sections are really big, they should only be about 1/2” to an 1” at most. When you’re cutting the back the sections that are at the same level as her ear she should be looking down until you get to the top of the ear.
I'm really cringing that this video she's using the wrong scissors her her is gonna be destroyed and she's putting the brush into her mouth and combing her hair then oh my 😵
Stacey Mcgrath I know!!! I couldn’t relax to this asmr at all. I was cringing and thinking about all of the things done wrong.
@@hollymabry Same- not relaxing at all. I'm not a hairdresser, but everything from the wrong scissors, cutting at an angle and not even, hair half wet/half dry, point cutting that was more hacking.... I couldn't take it.
They aren’t proper hair cutting scissors, which will end up doing damage to the hair

I'm glad somebody else said this. I had anxiety the whole time watching this instead of relaxing.. With every snip I was yelling, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? My daughter is a licensed cosmetologist and she cried. (not literally)
As a “licensed” hair stylist I think this thread is a bit over-dramatic. As long as the scissors are sharp enough (which they definitely look & sound judging by the ease with which they cut) the ends of the hair should be fine. She’s actually applying some pretty decent techniques too. Not bad Emvy!

A for effort, can definitely use some lessons on the cutting technique and proper placement of the shears and alignment when cutting the hair and matching lengths.
