I bought my bajaj chetak scooter when I passes my 10th in 1989. There after the scooter was a daily companion for my engineering and subsequently in job. It was very reliable and very low maintenance. Lot of my lifetime memories are attached with my Bajaj Chetak. It is still in my garage. Thanks for uploading this video.

Main bhi 1995 main liya tha 24000 ka aur 20 yeras chalaya 2015 me 3500 ka bech diya Kamal ka tha ye maine aur mere doston ne is par apni girl friend khoob ghumai hain is par ek baar 65 Km. ka safar maine is par 40 minuts main kiya tha

Your video made me very nostalgic. The first geared vehicle I learnt to ride was a Bajaj. My dad's Bajaj was the 'learning' vehicle for a lot of my friends too. Our Bajaj is as old as my younger sibling and I still remember the day dad brought home the bike. It was a beautiful workhorse and has helped us in many critical moments of our life including when I had forgotten the hall-ticket to my exam. Thank you for uploading the video. Much appreciated.👍🏿
Some issues with the Bajaj.
Positives - decent economy (in its day). Simple two stroke maintenance. Low tech - anyone could fix it. Lots of storage space- it was a mini pick-up. Short turning radius. Very versatile.
Negatives- The build quality was not that great but then monopoly spoils the market (the Vespas from the 50's/60's are still running strong). The rear seat was not so comfortable - with legs stretched out and the rear sunk in, it was not the most thrilling ride. Metal would rust, weight balancing issues, shoddy electricals for most models etc.
The way forward -
If Bajaj is reading this, it would be nice if they came up with a centrally mounted engine on a tubular frame with large wheels and low centre of gravity. Lots of storage space along with looks like the Lambretta would help.

My father had this legendary scooter I was in kindergarten at that time. I used to go to school on that only
I am also one proud owner of Bajaj legend. l was traveled by this from Karwar to Bengaluru in single stretch with my wife.. about 650 KM
I am proud to say I am owner of Bajaj Chetak. I am using it since 1998 and still on. You rightly said lot of memories attached with it. That is the basic reason for my generation don't want to separate it from us. We always went to down the memory lane and recollect good old days and feel very happy. Greetings from Norway. I have a 2-stroke 125 ccm Bajaj Chetak. My longest trip on this good scooter was 1670 km to North Cape - and then via Finland an Sweden back to Narvik in Norway. No misfiring - just many miles with smiles.

thanks to recall all memories, I remember when my father bought this bajaj scooter on 3 rd November 1993 it was Dhanteras festival day. going market, attending functions, going college, going out of station, riding it on dump roads and many more every ride of it, I still remember and miss. I remember that time we had not enough money to think about scooter and buying scooter was our family dream and we put all savings to but it and trust me it was very lucky to our family... later on by God of grace we brought bike,car and now we have Scotty.. thanks to memories me old days... miss you bajaj chetak

I'm attached to this scooter to that extent that I now own Bajaj Bike_ Bajaj Platina.

Esko chalane walo ko kuch bhi ho jaye.... Esko kuch nahi ho sakta... Recently ghar par shadi me gaya tha aur bike available nahi rahta tha to maine eska tuning ko jyada kar diya ki oil jitna pina hai piwo but band na ho aur khub use kiya..... I love it.....
