Beautiful! Though BNSF in the Houston, Texas, area has been using searchlight signals to this day since at least the 1970s when those rails were merely belonged to the Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Railroad.
People saying this train is "too long"... I've seen grain trains that had 3 lead locomotives, 2 mud dpu and 2 trail locomotives with a total of 320 grain cars (156/164)
By the length of that train the engines have arrived in nebraska as the last wagon exits the tunnel LOL, but would love to see an aerial shot if possible of these trains from engines to last wagons to give some perspective at these super trains.
@@willbert46 - you think someone moved a bunch of rocks and dirt over the railroad tracks after they were laid? Bridges aren't usually made of rocks and dirt anyway. ha ha.
There was a study done on it in the 80's when they were going to triple track Laramie to Rawlins. I think the conclusion was it could fill with snow and make a massive drift.
Beautiful!

Wow, that train goes on and on. Beautiful sight, the train and land. Rails across USA.
Did you see how many locomotives were in front of this train?!
@grand rapids griffins fan ...a triple-header(?)
@@daleburrell6273 4
@grand rapids griffins fan actually 4 locos plus a gazzilion ( by my count 127) wagons. :)
Nice vantage point and recording of three ES44AC's and a lone EMD SD70ACe pulling a large load.
beautiful clip, love the scenery, excellent co.position,
psr in motion, moving a yard
full of empties to another
yard, lmmfao, :-)
That train originated in Roseville Ca. and had a pickup in Sparks Nevada.
That was a real long train! I was surprised to see that there were no helpers on the tail end.
Very good video. Thank you
Bin immer sehr begeistert. Jeden Tag auf neues🌹💝
Fabulous video 👍🏻

Did you get another video of the BigBoy? Going to try and make it to Provo this week and at least see it.
I got to see the 4014 when it visited Des Moines- it was magnificent!!
Today is the day for provo gonna watch it come in in a few hours!!
@@justinw8938 I caught it at the Orem Front Runner station. Just wish I was a better photographer.. Video was not good.
I drove to the old tressel bridge in provo.. 4014 blew past as i got there only got the cars behind it in film...

^^^@Bob Masefield .. Now that would be Epic to see ..
looks like sherman hill area. good video.
They built a tunnel under 10 or 20 feet of rock? Why not just daylight the thing?
Most likely would take a lot more dynamite to do that.
Ha ha that's not a tunnel it's a bridge.
Good. They maintained a wildlife passage?
@@willbert46 - you think someone moved a bunch of rocks and dirt over the railroad tracks after they were laid? Bridges aren't usually made of rocks and dirt anyway. ha ha.
It's a monument, that's why they can't
Nice video!!
Thx.
Using GoogleEarth it took barely a minute to find a UP freight train that was 2.26 miles long.
Beautiful
liked video Traveling Tom :)
Thank you.
Railroads are unintended mobile Art Galleries. Graffiti is Vandalism not art you say. Art is in the eye of the beholder.
It’s still private property to be respected.
125 roughly
Good vid bro.
Thank you.
Interesting spot. They cut the trench leading to such a short tunnel with very little overhead rock. Wonder why they just didn't continue the trench.

Yes I was wondering the same thing. I know they get some really high wind and bad snow in that area.
“Seldomly filmed” yeah because it’s private property up there. Hope you had permission.
cj none of your business.
THEY'D HAVE AN AWFUL HARD TIME STOPPING THAT TRAIN-!!
Not a train that the engineer would want an air line hose to break at the rear of! 😁
Tha has to be the longest freight train ever
grafitti on almost every wagon Long trains are good but not if the rear wagons derailed
Hate to be at a crossing and wait for that mother to pass
I bet they had some EOT issues. Definitely practicing fuel conservation!!
WWOOWW!!
這種如長龍的列車 來個兩,三列 台灣一天都沒拉那麼多!…………
