His body was fucked. And we saw how his body turned out on his wwe return. It wasn't nice to see Kurt being barely able to move. I mean i still enjoyed the nobility of him. don't overrate the guy his last matches in WWE were the worst ones he ever did and it was more in part to him being out of the ring for ages and add Vince's terrible booking on top of that
Yk, Vince really robbed us all from that Cena vs Angle for Kurt's retirement. It was a poetic ending. Not every wrestler is like Shawn to show up at Saudi for big pay cheque or like Flair who just couldn't believe that his time was over.
@ yes I agree he should've been in the ring with a great talent like AJ Styles that wasn't too old at the time and wouldn't screw up the matches with botches like Taker, Kane, and Triple H did. Storyline wise though it made sense though for HBK to only return if it was a match involving The Undertaker since he was the one who retired HBK in the first place.
@ I think they could’ve pulled it off in-story, if they played it similar to the Styles and Cena matches with Taker, where whoever it was kept calling him out and getting declined until he got too personal to ignore any longer. Despite how bad the match was, I’m still glad though that he got to prove that at least HE still had it.
Been watching wrestling religiously like most replying on here. I'm in 40's now, there will never be any better talent/wrestler than Kurt Angle. I love Flair but man Kurt in-ring was the best I've ever seen live multiple times. Would love to see Kurt stayed retired and die a very happy old man :)

I think there should be a segment where Kurt tells him to go for it and finish his saga. Maaan that would be so hype...like they face off, and then Kurt tells him to win the rumble because he can't do it anymore, and to do it for him. It would be so uplifting to see that.
it would be so poetic for kurt angle to be the one who inducts john into the hall of fame. Kurt was that iconic beginning for john and he should be his end. "So what makes YOU think you can retire the Greatest of all time?!"
A rap battle between Kurt and John for their promo this year could be interesting as a callback to the old days but I think a normal promo between them for their last in-ring meet is what's going to happen. It would be nice to see Kurt be John's final opponent but we don't want Kurt to hurt himself just for a chance to be in the ring once more even against John. One more match can be tempting but often not a great thing to do when your body doesn't want to do it anymore.
I mean look at his body. He was a huge hero for me as a kid, for amateur wrestling and pro wrestling, but that body has deteriorated. Also, remember the milk segment with Steveson. He was very unsteady, he almost fell down. He just can't do it anymore.
I can see them using Kurt Angle to bring out Cena's intensity in a segment similar to what Edge did to help him beat Brock Lesnar at extreme Rules. That surely inspire him to win the title at Elimination chamber or another event before WrestleMania then losing it to a future superstar as a way to passing the torch at Mania.

Agreed. I have nothing against Corbin but I don't believe anything was done if at all since his match with Angle at WM35. Him and Cena both have history together, and it was Angle who fought Cena on his live debut on WWE at the time.
