This ridiculous defendant continously talking in circles about irrelevant nonsense, trying to tiptoe around the obvious truth which is that the cards were "stolen" while in his care and he is clearly 100% responsible 🤦🏼‍♀️

The defendant is definitely lying. There was no theft, he kept the cards because he knows that they are rare, and can probably go for a lot one day. We may not understand the value of these cards, but he definitely did. I think it was very reckless to put them in a bag and leave them unattended, also is super suspicious that the security camera guy wasn't there that of all days 🙄

So just because he's been playing the game for 20 years, the defendant truly thought every single person in that room was honest, he could leave a bag with obviously high priced cards in it?
And "Oh gosh darn" wouldn't you know the only guy that can access the video security ... happened to be away that day?!

@@crystalshaw8744 obviously it was a lie.. when he first started his story he was trying to blame it on the plaintiffs witness in a completely different story until Judge Milian called him out and said that wasn't the story he had put in his answer to the complaint. My son has played Magic for years; he has many decks. Just yesterday I bought his Christmas present: 35 Magic cards. Also, defendant said "This is the original trading card game." Baseball cards are not traded to play a game. Magic really is the first GAME to use trading cards. Lastly, this is yet another case of "I didn't mean to do it so it's not my fault." I have no idea if the defendant is telling the truth about the cards being stolen, but I'm dumbfounded that he would think that if they were, then too bad so sad for plaintiff. Those cards were his responsibility; he owes the plaintiff their value for being so careless.

This case...my god. As a former Pokemon and Yugioh card game player, I'm appalled at the Plaintiff saying that Magic is LIKE Pomemon...like, respect the King. Magic was there first. Also, i almost swerved off the road when Judge Milian started reading the names of the cards perfectly.
Also, imo the Defendant was responsible for the cards until they were sold. So as of a judgment he's technically "buying" them at that moment. So making him pay fair market value as of filing is actually fair if you think about it.
