Definitely put little soft pads under the pod drawer for you to be able an slide the drawer and Kureig out when you use it and slide back under when done

Not having in-unit laundry is a bit annoying but like you said at least it's down the hall on the same floor and you don't have to leave the building or go on a different floor/basement to do the laundry. I am in the same situation at my apartment and have gotten used to it but still wish I had in unit so I didn't have to have shared laundry.
