I use nail caps on my cat's front paws now. I used to think it would be too expensive because I can't put them on myself, I pay for a vet tech at my vet's office to put them on. But in retrospect it would have been less expensive to do it sooner given what she's done, including making a "kitty door" in my bedroom screen!
