- Located on the edge of South Hutchinson Island and the Fort Pierce Inlet, you’ll find the beautiful Jetty Park. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax for the afternoon or a spot take in a spectacular sunrise, Jetty Park is the perfect place to enjoy both and more.

Fort Pierce is also known as the Sunrise City, sister to San Francisco, California, the Sunset City. It was named after the Fort Pierce Army post which was built nearby in 1838 during the Second Seminole War. The military post had been named for Benjamin Kendrick Pierce, a career United States Army officer and the brother of President Franklin Pierce. It was the largest city on Florida's Atlantic Coast between Daytona Beach and West Palm Beach until 1970 when it was surpassed by Melbourne.
There are several places within walking distance of Jetty Park for a cocktail or a great meal. Square Grouper Tiki Bar is a visitors’ and locals’ favorite! If you are looking for a nice dinner on the beach, check out Sunrise Sands Beach Resort Restaurant or if you are looking for a quick lunch, stop in next door to Taco Dive and enjoy some fried shrimp & fish dip.

Greetings from your friends in Naples, Florida. This was awesome. I used to go snorkeling and spear fishing there when I was a kid. We lived in Ft. Pierce when I was young, and my friends and I used to ride our bikes to the park. Thank you for sharing, have a great week. 💯
