- Gates of Hell made a return quicker than I had expected due to this freshly received banger of a mod! This mod is set in a fictional Europe during the 1920's, where military development and technology has made it further and resulted in the use of massive deadly mechs.

Btw it's Polania and Rusviet, Republic and Tsardom repectively. Anyways! Awesome! As for lore, Polanian troops are mostly resistance fighters as Polania is mostly agricultural.
There was a bit of a military, but they only came into play after the events of the battle to get the food train to the city if I remember correctly.
@@charger8624 The "Polanian Army" I think was, until the Kolno Incident, basically a Rusviet-Saxony puppet like the government. After Kolno though, yeah Sikorski's contingent of the army joined with Lech's resistance army
Isn't it more that the Polanians signed a peace treaty which ceded a bunch of their territory to the other powers? So there is a proper Polanian military, it's just that what we see in game are resistance fighters because it's set in the occupied zone.

6:30 Rocket launcher on TWO wheels is a Korean made one during the 15th century. The Chinese preferred ONE wheeled one for it's mobility, but it lacked enough firepower to suppress the enemy while still achieving the shock factor. The Korean "Hwacha" focused on superior firepower and suppressive power to silence the enemy infantry.
The rusviet design is called a "nakovalnya"

So Diplex wants context for the universe of 1920+ huh, well okay. But don't say I didn't warn you IT'S A LONG STORY.
WARNING: IRON HARVEST SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR DISCRECTION
the setting of 1920+/Scythe/Iron Harvest is a little complex each version of the same setting is its own timeline, so the 1920+ art is one universe, the Scythe board game is another, and the Iron Harvest RTS is another. It's uncertain when exactly our timeline splits off with theirs as there are major differences in the timeline. E.g. The United Kingdom or "Clan Albion" was formed by the Scots, The Empire of Saxony is basically the German Empire but formed by the Saxons (obviously) and the Rusviet Empire is stomach churning Bastardisation of Rasputin era Russian Empire and the Soviet Union (somehow its basically russia but ran by the socialist Mensheviks but they decided to keep the tsar and the upper class?).
One of the defining separations from our timeline is Nikola Tesla who founded a miracle factory-citystate in Serbia know as "the factory" where he developed, mechs and other advanced dieselpunk, tesla based technologies in the attempt to rid the world of war. Unfortunately the nations of the world do what they do best and weaponised them, thus creating an even larger and even bloodier WW1 that lasted much longer. We don't know who "won" the war but Poland or "Polania" in their universe lost badly. Losing many of its lands.

In the Scythe board game timeline: the factions are all in a brutal all out battle royale against each other over the factory, as whoever controls the factory, controls the world.

in Iron Harvest (what this mod is based off): there was a short peace and now Saxony and the Rusviets are at it again with their universe's Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, invading the still weakened Polania with a desire to claim what is left of their lands in the year 1920. The Polanian Resistance with deserting members of Polanian Republican Army; outraged by a so-called "peace treaty" which is nothing more than an occupation with a friendlier title.
Meanwhile the Rusviets move with a suspicious interest with the balkans, and it doesn't take long for us to discover that members of the Rusviet military and government under the command of a mysterious global organisation called "Fenris", are looking for a way to enter The Factory as Nikola Tesla continues to make mysterious technologies in isolation of the walls of his city. However, signs of treachery and plotting are everywhere among the people and the government to overthrow the Tsar, yells of revolution fill the air while sign's of the Tsar's trusted advisor: Rasputin pulling the strings from the shadows.
Saxony is in a tragic state, though the Saxon army initially marched into Polania with ease, it is now slow and exhausting on both its men and supplies due to both the Polanian Resistance and now the traitorous Rusviet's efforts. To add more tragedy, the Kaiser has been murdered by his own son who has gone mad with PTSD from the tragic losses caused by fighting the Rusviet army. The Kaiser's closest friend and best general: Gunter von Duisburg (who had be dishonourably discharged by the Kaiser for punching his son after he killed POWs during one of his severe PTSD triggets) is now on the run for being framed for the murder by the Crown Prince who is now completely insane. Resulting in great instability and the rise of tyrannical elements in the now new Kaiser's dictatorial government. Sowing the seeds of rebellion and resistance in the people and the military still loyal to Duisburg and the old empire as they escape to the The Factory for refuge.
In distant Arabia, the new Saxonian army loyal to the new Kaiser oppresses and butchers the local populations for the lands rich oil. Meanwhile Arabia's king grows fat from from his Saxon overlord as he willing sells out his kingdom to the invaders. In response the proud armies and airfleets of Usonia (USA but with literal giant airships) send aid by deploying an a large fleet of airships and troops led by William Mason in the name of "toppling tyranny", "military intervention", and "liberating" the region and return the land to the rightful Arabian people. It comes quickly clear that this is not the case and something far sinister (involving William Mason's father - American war hero: Admiral Marson) is as at work.

1920+ is the original setting created by a Polish artist: Jakub Rozalski in a series paintings he created: I dunno, the artist just kind of paints art about the different countries and fronts of the war usually massive scenic shots of how the nation's society functions or before, the start, or aftermath a battle between two nations. He doesn't really tell us the canon of his universe is or at least as far as I check anyway. All he has told us is that there is a story, but as to what the story is, he hasn't explained to us.

So there you have it, all three timelines: I hope this entire explanation was worth it. If you like the setting I highly recommend looking at Rozalski's art and trying Scythe and Iron Harvest, both are amazing games and i recommend you try it out! It was called the Hwatcha or somewhere along those lines. And it wasn't China that use them. It was either Korea or Okinawa, can't remember. Though China did have something in the Ming Dynasty called the Nest of Bees Rocket Battery. In either case, both are incredibly awesome.

So technically this is Polania which is if poland was never eaten by its neighbors and survived up to 1920. The majority of the Polanian forces are militias and rebels trying to overthrow a Rusviet and Saxony (yes that's right prussian didn't unite Germany in this universe Saxony did) occupation.
Also Rasputin had taken charge of Rusviet by killing the Tsar and uniting with the revolutionaries and his secret organization called Fenris.
The lore for Iron Harvest is super weird and really cool.
Also Nicola Tesla is important.

Ok ok now imagine ww2 germans attacking a secret place leading to polish and soviet forces and mechs … that would be awesome . The germans having to pull up PAKS and panthers for heavy support
I have Silent Storm 2 Gold and I am not very good at it, but if I remember right, that game had a lot of crazy awesome things in it where you can control Panzer Walkers called "Panzerkleins" and I never got to that point because I sucked at the game. I'm going to have to try my hand at that game again because playing as the Germans in that was fun. (You could play the US or UK, USSR, or Germany) But it was squad based tactical. But your comment reminded me that I should boot that up again sometime. An older game but it's fun. A Gates of Hell scenario depicting just all the other nations having mechs and Germany having trouble putting dents in anything would be a sight to see.

So I finally downloaded both MoW and CtA: GoH and I have been a heck of a time getting MODs to work right and mostly I've found nothing but angry, rude pompas *ick lickers in the community. Could you do a video going over MODs you've used and what problems and fixes you've found?
