Now that we're pretty much done with the "showcase" series, let's explore and experiment with everything available to us. This is a Kaiserreich-inspired battle set between the German Empire and Russian Republic sometime during the 1920's. 1000 Imperial German troops supported by light tanks and artillery are attacking the roughly 200 defending Republican Russian troops defending a multi-level trench line. I'm gonna start working on some fortress maps as well as more of these line defense maps. Enjoy!
Note: All my maps and battles are modified/not part of the original game and does not represent the finished product. Everything you see is yours to experience if you so wish to create it. My version of the game contains no third-party content. Some videos/battles may contain footage of edited damage models and gun ranges. Everything is created in the GEM game engine's editor, allowing me to make fully custom battle simulations. - เกม
I must say this is probably one of my most favorite battle that you've made. You could call this "Tsar's Creek" because of the amount of German blood spilled. I've been watching a lot of videos about WW1 and the Interwar period and seeing this in a trench/line battle no less is so cool. Love the uniforms and that start of the battle was awesome. Praise to you for the fantastic video and praise to the developers for making the game so we could witness it.
This opens up so many opportunities, imagine more interwar battles and maybe even if they could add airships. Pandora's box has been opened.

Gates of Hell’s animations are SO good dude. Increases the immersion by like 200% for me. 🤘🏻

I redownloaded it just to play well I waited for the latest phase whitch is now on gates of hell and CoH2 has not aged well at all yep it's still nice looking and fun to play, all though it ain't aged well or as great animations as you think , Maybe it's been awhile or what ever but yeah gates of hell if phenomenal hands down the best Eastern front ww2 game out there. Also with every patch of fix's and once the game is out other factions will start to be worked on. The game is a brilliant beast one that gets better and stronger everyday 😂🙂
@@elpresidente8127 I play both and i'm sorry mate but no way. Gameplay is also better in GoH/CTA, doesn't just evolve around unit blobs or building top tier tanks..besides that, I also like games that can be modded so I don't need to pay for every DLC to keep the game interesting

I would love to see more Kaiserreich vids, there’s a MOW mod about it but it’s in dev

Oh, that was AMAZING! You could do a follow up battle at night with Russians sweeping up the battlefield looking for german strangers etc. A new mini series based in this scenario would be ace. Anyway, thanks for the great content dude!

Now that Diplex has control of the editor, I wonder if it would be possible to do a Natuna-esque series? I doubt the current assets would allow a direct continuation, but I personally loved that series of videos.

Love the content, I used to play a bit of kaiserreich myself in hoi4. This brings it to life a bit better.
I love the little ragdolls and the fire from the tanks and infantry, gates of hell is a really nice game with little minor details like those
the up close, following panoramic shots were on point, totally need more like it

You gotta do a series on this game man, whether it be Kaisereich or something else. Love this game and that would just be dope. I also love Kaisereich I’ve put so many hours into that mod in Hoi4. And fun fact in this universe this was the front hitler actually dies on after the weltkrieg.
The style you are playing is called Dieselpunk, basically Steampunk but with World Wars era thematic instead of Victorian one
Also in this universe ww1 lasted until 1925 so most vehicles are taken from real world counterparts

Hey Diplex, any chance you could record and upload in 1440p? Or do you not have the hardware or whatever to do that? (And time, I know it takes a lot more time for upload, more space required on your harddrive etc) just curious, awesome stuff!
well... He already mentioned in the video that He wanted to upgrade His rig for the game itself, so that makes me think 1440p is just a bit outside His reach for now.

Diplex you could make like a whole kaiser reich map kind if role play style focusing on Europe and it would be alternate history in GoH. Kind of like what mighty mapper did with army men of war.

Maybe next time you do an infantry rush you could involve some scripting for smoke shells to land, giving the attackers a bit more cover to advance.

You should do a Kaiserreich Battle about the Second American Civil War! Also, Kaiserreich isn't steampunk, it's basically the same 1930s and 1940s tech. Additionally, Syndicalists (a form of Socialism that died in the '30s and '40s) leads Northern Italy, France, and Britain. While the old French government is exiled to Africa and the Royal Crown fled to Canada.
For example on the technology part, the American Union State has backing from the Germans in their war against the Feds, Californians, and Syndicalists in the 2nd American Civil War. The MG 42 is one of the things the Germans lent to the AUS in lore IIRC.

The attack AI is beyond terrible, it was painful to watch. Of course 1k men couldn't take that ground, they can't rush, they can't flank, that can't use cover and they can't coordinate. A 5th grader could beat that AI. It looked beautiful though.

The ai relies too much on gunfire. The attackers are in inferior cover trading fire with dug in troops that have mortars, artillery and machineguns. This is in no way preferable to closing and engaging in close combat. Especially in the age of bolt action rifles.

The AI should be able to let the German troops cross between trenches under cover by using the connecting trenches we can see.
