Your newly coated silver wheels look ONE THOUSAND PERCENT better than Black Rims. I don't understand the thought process for black rims. After spending all that money, you end up with what looks like stamped steel spare tire wheels. BRAVO to your outstanding work and excellent taste.
After the pandemic is a memory & if I’m still standing I would love to come to the UK and work with you for a few days. Your the best detailer I’ve ever seen & would love to learn much more. Thanks my friend. Greg Michigan USA
It’s thanks to passionate detailers like you that I pick up on tips and tricks. Like the wooden skewers. 😆 Sometimes it’s the small things that make a difference.
Jim. A great series of videos, for those of us who want to have a clean, good looking car you are an inspiration. My car lives outside, it is my daily. I keep it as clean as I can. I have learnt a lot from watching your videos and continue to learn. Things have come a very long way since the mid 1970’s when my father showed me how to wash a car with a Halfords sponge, washing up liquid, an old bottle bush for the wheels and one bucket.
Totally an enjoyment to watch this video. Seeing you enjoy yourself working on your own car without the normal day to day pressures that you are normally under detailing customers cars. Thanks for the on the go instructions and tips. Great end result Jim.
VERY smart of you not to go over the masking tape too much with your polishing pads as micro tape bits can get caught up in the pad then distributed on the surface that you are trying to correct. LOVE your informative videos!!!
It looks amazing , i had the same model but in silver and corrected it all , and couldn’t wait to get it out in the rain just to see the rain just slip off .
Great video Jim, you can hear in your voice how much you enjoyed doing your own car. Love your videos and I know how much effort goes into making them so thank you and keep up the good work.
In every step you make we can see how skilled and experienced you are. And BTW, bonus points for deatiling your own daily beater/support cars. Long time fan of yours.
The end result is amazing, as usual. I guess no surprises there. You know your stuff. This video, like most if not all of your videos, is great. Editing, music, etc., perfect! And the "behind the scene" 6 x Jim is very nice to see, so is the idea by itself. The car looks, to my eyes at least, much better with those new rims. The black ones did not suit the car. Please, please, please, more shots of the car's interior(s) in the future, if possible. And finally, thank you for entertaining and relaxing us with your videos; really appreciated.
Love the term "Toothpickery": For one to use a toothpick in conjunction with a microfiber towel to remove unwanted polish and dirt. I thought technicians that test materials for ASTM and ISO properties were very particular. Car detailer's takes things to another level entirely. I think it is great that you get to observe how well your coatings will stand up to real world exposure to driving and the elements with this shop vehicle.
Awesome video once again Jim. Not only was it entertaining to watch, but I also feel like I learned a TON. I have an F30 335i and you pretty much just taught me how to prepare to ceramic coat, and protect/restore all of the plastic exterior trim pieces for this winter as well. Can't wait to see more from your 330d! It would also be cool to see some performance testing if you end up tuning it. 0-100kmh and quarter mile times!
Ahhhhh, the minor slash FULL White Detail. Think I like this episode more because you are 'enjoying' doing your own car. So many of us can relate to this. Even stuffing your face with M&M's mid coatings 👌🏼 Maybe to freshen things up you could try a detail what you bring option, combining some training with detailing clients cars? I know I'd be interested 👍🏼
I've been watching since the dodgy swivel chair days,I remember you didn't even have the rupes polishers! It's great to see how much your channel has grown and still the best most informative detailing content on youtube.;-)
Nice to see you so up beat man..All your hard work over the years and then to see you get all giddy while sorting your own wagon ....A kid in a candy shop moment for sure .quality Vlog
I absolutely love the car, Jim! I do own an F31 myself and find the touring much nicer looking than the sedan. Top work, as always! This is my favourite vlog so far👍
Love that video!just to see you too can drive around in a car with perfect paint work! With the interior detailed as well! Love all your videos and have been watching for the last 2 years, keeping an eye out for the next vlog on the daily 😬 Keep up the hard work!all the best for 2020!!!!
Yes. Most definitely one of the best yet Jim......and that’s saying something!! Car looks awesome and coatings comparison will be great to see. Hope you enjoy the car!!
bravo on debadging. Cleaner, easier to maintain and no dickheads seeing what you drive at the lights to wanna drag race. First thing I did on my 2020 RS3 saloon.
Awesome work and videos! Thank you! Makes us weekend warriors learn from a pro like you! What's the best way to not let the pads dry up and spread dry compound? Thx.
For hard clear coat the Rupes UHS Compound is incredible. I highly recommend you give it a shot, it has saved me a boat load of time on harder euro clear coats (VW, BMW, Mercedes, etc.)
Jim - fantastic work in this vid - and especially your White Detail vids. A query or two about Ceramic coatings please.. If I go for a ceramic coating, 1. How long would I expect it to last for given that I wash my car at least once a week? 2. Can you top up ceramic coating? 3. How do you remove the old ceramic layer? 4. What in your opinion is the best for someone working from home, with no garage facilities?
You could tech manufactures a think or two. Was watching the launch of the new Mustang E SUV and the pillars were appalling, they did a close up and you could see the swirls and polishing marks, and that at a launch
Just watched this entire video having taken my own BMW through the Sainsbury’s automatic car wash 2 days ago. 😂 Perhaps if I got off TH-cam I could spend the time giving my car the attention it deserves.
I’ll be looking for a F30 estate when I come to sell my A5 in January when it has 12 months test and a service, everyone asks why I want an estate when I have no kids but I much prefer them to the saloon.
VERY nice Jim. Just need to tint the two front windows to match the rears. (I know it might be less than legal for the government nannies, but it sure makes the car look better!)
cheers mate! because of this video i chase 2h for every scratch on my driver door i mean i took it all out. Well i quess it was more can i than should i.
Hello. I enjoy watching your detail videos and they are addictive. My question is, do you know a good spray on paint with metallic flakes in it? I'm getting the rims on my 2005 Jaguar Vanden Plas refurbished. I believe the metallic flakes come in the 'Hyper Silver" but not just "Alloy" color.
Now the weather is a lot colder, and considering I would be cleaning outside, would it be ok to wax as well? Love the channel and all you do keep going
Hi Jim. Was wandering if you would think it a good idea to get a car panel from a scrap yard to practice on before tackling my own car. Iv never used a machine polisher or done any form of detailing. Now let me stress this is not as i want to do it as a bussiness its purely for my own and my sons car for us. Cheers buddy.
Really liked that video. Learned a lot about the process (pad and polish combos). There was me thinking the piano trims were soft like butter, and you go at it with a MF pad! 🙄
Your newly coated silver wheels look ONE THOUSAND PERCENT better than Black Rims. I don't understand the thought process for black rims. After spending all that money, you end up with what looks like stamped steel spare tire wheels. BRAVO to your outstanding work and excellent taste.
Keep going with the “what I’m using and why”. It will help a lot of people’s learning curves and is just interesting all together.
10000000000000000000000000000000000%, Jim we need more of this please.
@@Flywithcraig so true!
How about paint thickness: what’s the limit for polishing?
You really put your heart in your work . Best detailer I have seen.
Not only a master detailer but a dam good video editor.
You are the best detailer I have ever seen. You’re so good I’d be happy for you to marry my daughter. Don’t go changing.
This is the first occasion where I have seen you actually do some sanding after watching about 40 videos.
After the pandemic is a memory & if I’m still standing I would love to come to the UK and work with you for a few days. Your the best detailer I’ve ever seen & would love to learn much more. Thanks my friend. Greg Michigan USA
What a great way to start the day, breakfast and a White Details video. Loved the lance control too.... sweet!
It’s thanks to passionate detailers like you that I pick up on tips and tricks. Like the wooden skewers. 😆 Sometimes it’s the small things that make a difference.

You work like a machine. I'm tired and worn out just watching you work. Car looks amazing.👍🇦🇺🍺
Definitely felt the love on that detail the buzz you get when you do your own car 👌👍
Lol you make great videos! Thank you for taking the time!
Them wheels are so much better than the other ones. They look a lot more classy!
You are a genius, that car looks a million times better now ! Love the stitching of the pics at the end 👍
Totally an enjoyment to watch this video. Seeing you enjoy yourself working on your own car without the normal day to day pressures that you are normally under detailing customers cars. Thanks for the on the go instructions and tips. Great end result Jim.
An added bonus of this was one, was the absolute classic tunes featured! Love of detailing, will tear is apart- Jim White!!
VERY smart of you not to go over the masking tape too much with your polishing pads as micro tape bits can get caught up in the pad then distributed on the surface that you are trying to correct.
LOVE your informative videos!!!
Knowing that your own car is getting detailed by 1 of the best in the business!! Awesome work as per usual :)
Jim you never fail to deliver great vid again, i'm learning all the time well each time i see one of your vid's actually.
Best detailer around .
Great video Jim and pleasure watching you detail the BMW. Truly the best car detailer I have watched and love your passion for perfection
It looks amazing , i had the same model but in silver and corrected it all , and couldn’t wait to get it out in the rain just to see the rain just slip off .
Great video as always. For people that love auto detailing, this time passes in a breeze
Britpop all the way 🤘! I deeply admire your meticulous work, Jim. 37.38 minutes of classy entertainment.
The wheels do look the part, lovely job all round - looks like a brand new car!
Amazing video
People ask me what I’d like to do if I wasn’t a spark with my own electrical business.
This video answers the question
i have an e92 3 series but i absolutely love this version, especially the estate. bmw really nailed it
Looks so much better with the re-finished wheels. Fresh!
Great video Jim, you can hear in your voice how much you enjoyed doing your own car. Love your videos and I know how much effort goes into making them so thank you and keep up the good work.
With England's crappy weather, this guy should be a millionaire many times over when he retires.
Awesome to see you so chilled Jim, and the car look fantastic in those last few outdoor shots!
Best 37:38 minutes spend today...👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
true ! seeing him on the spot polishing gave me so much knowledge
Ahh Jim! You sir, are an absolute master. 👍

Another great video, thank you. Glad you got a chance to give your own ride some love. Love the composite photo!
Perfect job
Hey Jim, I just received a set of your new brushes. They are extremely nice. Great quality for the price. Thanks very much.
Great that you show what products you use, more of this Jim.
Looks amazing, your level of detail in each process is off the scale 👍 One day you will have my car to do, keep up the great work 👍
Amazing job as always Jim ! If it’s not perfect for you, it is for me !

Great cleaning tips, makes me want to go and do a proper clean on mine. BTW, that is the most cleanest garage I have ever seen. :-)
Cracking job there Jim just need to change the fog light bulbs 😁👍
Very nice BMW there Jim! Looks stunning. Good thing you have debadged it! :)

Brilliant job!
Great video Jim.
Awesome work and videos! Thank you! Makes us weekend warriors learn from a pro like you! What's the best way to not let the pads dry up and spread dry compound? Thx.
Lovely Jubbly, its probably better than a new car, that's been through a dealership standard preparation process.
Enjoyed that Jim, fun edit at the end🤣🤣
Christ that is a sexy wagon 😍 love the purr of those 30d engines when idling
Stephen Carney One of the best sounding engines IMO 👌🏻
LCI rear lights would be a brilliant upgrade. Looks amazing anyway tbf.
Great video Jim!!
The ice cream van only plays the music when he’s run out of ice cream - or so my mum always told me
Ha ha. Clever mum !
Don’t think I didn’t catch you changed your start up sound to the old Rolls Royce tune. Lol clever
Love it, love it, love it. Love Bmw's, love detailing & love the tunes 👍👌
Great to see you bring out the best in your car, looks amazing 👍
For hard clear coat the Rupes UHS Compound is incredible. I highly recommend you give it a shot, it has saved me a boat load of time on harder euro clear coats (VW, BMW, Mercedes, etc.)

Great job Jim, very informative . oh great colour similar to mine lol .
We *LOVE* the BMWSV!! Keep updates on it coming!
I wonder what it would be like to live with a person who sees things the way that this guy sees them. He must live a very complicated life.
Perfect , Love this BMW

Stunning work as always Jim.
May I ask, why have you gone away from using gtechniq and gyeon coatings?
Cheers
Lee
Now the weather is a lot colder, and considering I would be cleaning outside, would it be ok to wax as well? Love the channel and all you do keep going
Addicted to these videos 👍👍
Such a handsome car.
Love the channel. Keep it up!

Just wondering how much detailing like this cost? Amazing job
