    8:00 Speaking of soot on metal from heating it up with a regular lighter, a little tip from a former junkie: toothpaste easily wipes away any soot you get on metal from heating it with a regular lighter. Trust me.

    I’ve used a propane torch for some time, but I worried that it might be damaging the cap. I never made it ‘glow’ though. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. Compared to the cost of butane refills, I think it’s pretty cost effective.

    It's mostly like a bic but, I've used a hemp wick to light it. It's a little harder cause I have to monitor the flame a lot more than a bic.

    I am hoping this will have a surprise about a new induction heater coming out with a portable option. Or one at all for that matter. Still super excited about the video though. Love these guys.

      @vapormachina_mix 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That would be awesome, if anyone could launch a really portable IH that you can wear in the pocket, this is the thing all we want. This is undoubtedly the biggest drawback of the vapcap, when you want to use it on the street or in situations where it is embarrassing to use the flame, but if we could transform the vapcap into an '' electrical device '' in those situations, it would simply be the ultimate vaporizer and burst the market. But honestly, with the launch of a battery-powered dynatec for the time being, I would settle for it, or to re-manufacture the original battery-powered Apollo, I have been trying to buy one of these devices for almost a year🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    • @pdblouin
      @pdblouin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The problem is the energy density of lithium batteries is garbage compared to butane. You need physical size just to store enough energy in batteries to power the induction heater, even after accounting for efficiency differences.
      If anyone has a plug-in induction heater and a Kill-A-Watt, let me know how much current it draws. I'm curious.

    • @vapormachina_mix
      @vapormachina_mix 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pdblouin I think that when the discharge rate of 18650 batteries increases a little more, a smaller IH may be developed. If some tech company thought about it they would surely achieve something
      I certainly like butane more, I love the ritual, but there are situations where being able to use the vapcap would be great

    If using a magnifying glass put the cap on tin foil when heating it will help heat faster and protects your table ✌🏻

    In the winter months I use a Zippo as my heat source. It is slow and dirty but you can get the cap and bowl to very precise temperatures. As long as you can wipe the soot off of your cap into a napkin or something I really like this method because Zippos are so reliable and, well Zippo.

  • @mushroom-mac617
    @mushroom-mac617 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Best heat source I’ve used is my small gas powered fishing stove on low heat, the dynavap seems to love it and uses less gas than my cyclone II triple flame lighters.

    they made a better handheld vaporizer by separating the heating element from the vaporization reaction (bunch of engineers lmao, if something don't work break it down). Gonna use the tech I learned from my BB3 as a case study to make my own vapes.
