Leave the lovely neighbor Karen a warm gift basket of those possums. One person calling in about a little smoke, gonna cost the owner some big bucks to haul off so much that could have been burnt! Wow. Just crazy, Jon you might look into a pit burner. We used to dig huge pits and fill with giant trees and put a pit burner (like a giant leaf blower) in at one end that move large amounts of air at bottom of the pit when we were in close to large housing areas. Hardly any smoke just a very rapid clean intense complete burn with that forced air! 🔥 thanks for the video! 👍👋
I was just about to recommend the same thing. The blower creates a much hotter burn that in turn creates much less smoke becsyse the extra heat actually burns the smoke Also. I never realized that smoke was unburned fuel until I started learning more about gasification boilers. We have used this pit burn method a few times using the same blowers that they use to dry basements and stuff that have s trunk line. Put two on it to direct the air into the pit and you can’t even tell it’s burning as far as smoke

Hi John, you will always find somebody who has to complain. Chris (Letsdig18) has had his fair share of Karen’s phoning because he had a bonfire going. Fire department was on speed dial !! Good luck with getting rid of that wisteria, it’s a real pain. Take care and b3 safe. Catch you on the next one.Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍🔥🔥🔥
You are truly professional in your approach to the work. I agree with you that culvert is iffy at best.
I can see why the fire dept would not let you burn unless it was real small secluded piles @ least to start....How do you bid this job ?????
onions, carrots, and potatoes you can have a possum feast.
that's so gross :)
Every summer in Wausau Florida they have a possum fest. Possum any way it can be cooked. Everyone i know that have ate possum says no matter how it is cooked it is greasy.
Store all of the wisteria right next to the anti-burn neighbor's property as long as you can.
You can't get a burn permit,? It's jobs and neighbors that you could go to and give them 100$ to shut them up till burning is done..
I called the forestry service and fire department. I was cleared by both to burn. Due to the size of the burn pile, the smoke would have been too close to the road, and thus the reason for having to put out the fire.
You can burn land clearing debris in SC, but you cannot burn a building to dispose of it. The fire department can do a practice burn on it, but all asbestos must be removed beforehand.
Bill the lady that reported you, and maybe look into a burn permit, just a thought.

plenty of room to back in there with a semi
I agree, plenty of room, but I would be worried about the weight capability of that culvert. I’d be a little nervous with a load. Maybe pulling a few half loads might do the trick!
A controlled burn with volunteer firemen standing by should suffice.

I was dying laughing at you gagging over the smell 👃🏻 my wife was like why are you laughing 😂 that’s horrible I said because that’s what I do all the time so is nice to see someone else besides me gagging. Thanks
Can you get a burn permit?
We cleared it with forestry and fire, however, it was the location of the fire to the road, they were concerned about smoke.
