System software is used for operating all computer hardware components like I/O devices, memory devices, and other computer H/W components. These hardware components only called it as "peripheral devices".
But application programs used by the user to perform some specific task. By using "MS-word" (application

Once the power is switced off, all data will be deleted from the memory. So it is called it as volatile memory. Example. computer memory RAM( Random Access Memory) .
