I tried to make these many years ago. Your directions are so much better, than the ones I had back then. I will try these again, thank you so much for you videos. You are great at explaining things. I am glad I am working my way through your older videos, I have learned several things. ❤🤗
have made the quilted ornaments for years, had a resident that received one that had a cross stitch pattern in the center, but I couldn't comprehend how it was done, tfs it really helps me understand, I use rubber bands to find my centers, but like your ideals measure with ribbons, I use ribbon to put around the ball for more decoration and wide enough to cover joining sides, with a narrow ribbon loop making a hanger and bow adding a flower like a rose gluing the pin so it will hold
I wanted 2 make these last year but didn't get around 2 it. I'm so happy I found ur video on them. I'm actually making them 4 my mom n my sister. My sister lost her oldest son in August 2 cancer after a 14yr battle. I'm using a pic of each of them holding hands with him a day or 2 b4 he passed. I love watching ur videos n that's y I'm so happy 2 see ur take on it. I'm so sorry 4 ur loss. I know this is an older video. I know u have lost not just ur mom but also Ray. My heart goes out 2 u. Keeping u in my prayers 🧡

beautiful.. Hearing your story about your mom brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry about your mother, I lost my mom Feb 2015, 2 days before her 60th bday.. I feel your pain.. That is a wonderful way to have her near during the holidays.. I will be doing one for my mama this Christmas.. God bless you...
charity loechel I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this! It looks as though we may have lost our moms just with in a couple weeks of each other 😞 I lost my mom may 20th 2015! I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom as well. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my mom... I miss her terribly 😥 thank u for watch hugs to u!
This is so heartfelt. I remember seeing this! Two years ago I made the next smaller ones for gifts. In all I believe I made 18 of them........very relaxing to do in front of TV sitting in my Lazy Boy recliner. Each of my 7 siblings loved them and all the friends I gifted them to. They are so fulfilling and fun to make. Thank you for this Kelly and I am so glad you have that forever on your tree. What a precious memory! Thank you for all you do in sharing! I also have a son and two daughters, all grown with their own families now but those were busy times as you showed in your other video of a regular day behind the scenes. You are extraordinary! And yes, it does take all that energy and more. Please have a blessed and Holy Holiday Season......it is soon upon us! Blessings Mary Lou
I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. What a awesome way to keep those memories. Cute ornaments! I saw another lady making these and a essy way to find the center of your fabric is to fold in half and fold in half again and finger press the fabric. When you unfold you can see the cross and you can easily put your pin in and it will guarantee your center of the fabric. :)
Great detailed video!! I really enjoyed watching it. These ornaments are beautiful and perfect especially because they are personal. Wonderful idea to fill your tree with your most loved memories. Thanks for posting and sharing....I gotta get busy now making these, lol.
Perfect!! I lost my dad the day after Christmas this past year...what a great idea not just for Christmas but hanging them all year round! I'm gonna make one of my dad's picture
Absolutely love these Kelly!! I will be makin these this year for sure. I would give them at maybe Thanksgiving so that they can have them on their tree when they put it up!
I make these as memorial ornaments for my family when they lose a beloved pet. Last year my son had to put his 18 year old cat to sleep. This year he had to put his 13 year old dog to sleep and my youngest son's wife had to put her old dog to sleep when he had a seizure so it's been a rough couple of years for our family. I had made them with my small grandkids pictures on one side and their family picture on the opposite side for their Mom and Dad for a Christmas gift.
Oh Kelly what a precious gift idea. My oldest adult child; my Son Tony was killed 15 yrs ago by a drunk/drugged driver leaving his 2 young Sons, my other 2 adult children, my Husband (who passed away 7 yrs ago at the age of 61 from Cancer) and myself; his grieving Mother. Hoping I have time at least to create 2 of these for my 2 now adult Grandsons with their Fathers smiling face. Hmmm, if I look thru my pics I’m sure I can find photos of my Son at Christmas with both boys❣️ They’re going to absolutely treasure these. Thank you special {{{ HUGGZ }}}. If I have time I’d love to make one of my Husband for every relatives Christmas Tree. We had 3 children, then there’s 11 Grandchildren. The “12” Great Grands are too young; 8 yrs & under. But the Grands all adored their Papa Bill dearly. As my MS & vision continues to worsen perhaps I should use a pic of both my Husband & myself showing him pushing me in my wheelchair at the time. This way the Grandchildren would always have it to adorn their tree when God calls me home as well. As always my apologies for being so Gabby but this DIY has truly struck a chord in my heart. I feel the urge; the need to create these & your version seems like it’s something I can do! Thank goodness both JoAnns & Hobby Lobby have been offering great digital coupons! When I need to use the same coupon twice I have my Daughter use hers, I just give her my 2nd debit card... As a non driver I’m at the mercy of my 2 adult children that have busy lives so... fingers crossed I can get out tomorrow if I’m not too long at the grocery store & our best buddy; The Dollar Tree! More {{{ HUGGZ }}} and appreciation. ~Su
Thank u so much for sharing this beautiful video, it is a very hard time here, times are very hard I am in Argentina, South America, everything is so expensive here , so this kind of things are so helpful , I don’t know how to transfer the pictures onto the material, but thank you for the idea ❤️
+Janell Oyler I also lost my mom this past May... she was 63... and I have a pic of her and my daughter... and I wanted to do this! Again, thank you so very much... and I am so sorry for your loss.
Kelly, I have materials that are very different in weight. One is light weight cotton, and the other is a heavy polyester type material. The materials themselves are very special to me, but I am not sure how they will work. What do you think?
Love the idea of using the glue gun, never even thought of it! Saves a lot of pins & looks so much better... thank you for sharing... did you use high temp or low?
If you are going to make several with the same photo you can get a fat quarter of the fabric printed from spoonflower. I made some with our church photo on them for our minister's and friends at church and had a fat quarter printed from spoonflower. I'm not sure if it is more cost effective than the printer sheets. I know that spoonflower has sales on their fat quarters at times. I wish I could post a picture of them but I don't see that is an option. Love these, so sorry that you lost your mom!
Jill Ourai thank u Jill so much for the tip I will definitely look in to that! O please post a picture on Facebook I have links in the description boxes of my videos all you have to do is click on it and you'll be able to post a picture on my wall I would love to see your ornaments!
I'm sending these to my email to watch when I'm awake working late these days. Theses are so cute for some reason these christmas wons aren't coming to me I just looked and saw this one after you pinecone.
I’ll have to put this in my to do crafts list. Wanted to make one years ago, but I couldn’t get it to work for some reason. This tutorial looks more likely for me. Wish I had found this earlier. 1/12/2024. Ruth
On the picture transfer I have a question. Do you print them from ink jet or what? Next where do you find the transfer sheets and approx. Cost of sheets. Also do you think it would work on canvas pictures
Abbey P I actually use that same the same transfer paper on t-shirts and it has worked great and held up very well through the wash! The shirts get washed frequently so I think that it would work great for a quilt! I have thought of doing a quilt like that with pictures of my mom and I! The quilt wouldn't be getting washed nearly as much as the shirts!
Ok I have tried doing this my problem is trying to get the wrinkles out. I can’t seem to find wallet size on my computer I have 5x7. Or 4x6 please help
I tried to make these many years ago. Your directions are so much better, than the ones I had back then. I will try these again, thank you so much for you videos. You are great at explaining things. I am glad I am working my way through your older videos, I have learned several things. ❤🤗

Hi Kelly wanted to tell you I made 3 of the picture fabric ornaments for Christmas presents this year. I sill need to do 2 more. Thank you so much.
I just started making quilted ornaments and I think the gluing seems to be so much easier for my poor lil fingers lol Thk you for the idea
Thank you sooo much for this tutorial, I've been trying to find something to make with my dog show ribbons.
fabulous idea, thank you for sharing the tremendous personalization --- hugs

I have never used fabric transfers. Is there a chance you have a video explaining the process?
Well done! I think I'll try these this year!!!
Wow Kelly these are absolutely gorgeous can't wait to make them . Much love and a merry Christmas to you and your family stay well and stay safe 😘❤️
This would be a great idea for a yearly picture of each child from birth. On the back side you could write the age of your child that year.
Thank u so much for sharing this beautiful video, it is a very hard time here, times are very hard I am in Argentina, South America, everything is so expensive here , so this kind of things are so helpful , I don’t know how to transfer the pictures onto the material, but thank you for the idea ❤️
That is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to give it a try. So glad I found you! Merry Christmas and happy new year!
So beautiful. I will be making these this year
What a special memory
just saw this, love your idea and tut, I think I'm going to print a square for the back with the year on it, too, to further customize
Love this Kelly❤
Would like these so much more if you used mor light and dark contrast so it looked more like quilting. Also you could put another picture on the back
This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! Thank you so so so much!!
+Janell Oyler I also lost my mom this past May... she was 63... and I have a pic of her and my daughter... and I wanted to do this! Again, thank you so very much... and I am so sorry for your loss.

I'm looking for the same thing
Loved your video.

I have a couple of boxes of supplies to make them.
Beautiful!
Lovely, what a great idea, thank you
Thanks so much for sharing! I just love it. I wondered if this photo method can be used for a quilt or would the photo fade after washing?

Do you have to use a special glue for this
Where can I get a copy of the instructions. I have look everywhere for it, and can not find it.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
